Another great experience at Bill Rapp, last time it was with their collision shop but this time it was with their sales department I worked with a salesperson named Nick Reid to lease a car; he was very forthright, no pressure and everything he told me checked out perfectly. Nick was very responsive and worked out a good deal for me Definitely coming back the next time I need to buy or lease a car read more

Bill Rapp GMC - Car Dealers Near Me - Syracuse, New York

I had a great experience purchasing the vehicle through text message. But the on the website the dealer comments specifically said the vehicle was spotless but then I got home with the vehicle I found damage to the bumper that was trying to be disguised by a poor paint job. read more

saw a vehicle on line Saturday, was super excited. I set up an appointment that same day about 1:15pm to look at it the following Monday at 1pm. Monday morning came i received a text message that the vehicle had sold over the weekend. so in a matter of 3 hours from making the appointment it sold. Very dissapointing and very fishy. i was never asked to place a deposit to hold it, which i would have gladly done. not sure if the plan was to get me in there to try and sell me something i wasnt lookinig for or not. just be sure to double check and DO NOT get your hopes up!!!!!!!! read more

Very disappointed with Rapp GMC. I bought my Acadia here and have been getting it serviced regularly with great service in the past. Unfortunately, since they sold out to a larger company their service and attempts to upsell things makes working with them a very bad experience. Looks like I need to find someplace else to go. I'm NOT COMING BACK. read more

When I first arrived at Bill Rapp Subaru, I wasn't sure how the day would go. Thankfully right as we were stepping inside, we ran into Stephen Rudenis. He was friendly, personable, understanding - whole nine yards. He was able to get me into a lease that should work well for me, and in a car that I feel safe in (most important to me - and likely my parents). Thank you Stephen, and thank you Bill Rapp Subaru! read more

Unfortunately I have had to use Bill Rapp a couple times to repair my GMC Terrain, but it has always been done efficiently and timely. I had to get the service manager involved in one repair and he went over and above by contacting General Motors and having it repaired under warranty. I am very pleased with their services. read more

BEWARE PEOPLE: THIS DEALERSHIP WILL SEND YOU OFF IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE. I bought a used vehicle, after buying, when I got on the interstate highway, the vehicle was shaking and vibrating terribly. Returned the vehicle, was looked over at their shop and I was reported as the issue was normal for the AT tires. Drove it home and then to a local shop. There was one tire that the steel belt was separating and additionally had an overabundance of balance weights on the wheel in question. Reported this to the salesman and general manager with no response. read more

What an amazing experience. I bought a 2024 Forester and Matt Montoya treated me like family. There was no stress or awkward moments like we are all used to when dealing with the car business. The rest of the staff was amazing as well. Such a cheerful atmosphere and everyone seemed happy to be there. I would DEFINITELY recommend Bill Rapp Subaru for your next vehicle read more

This review is directly in reference to the Service Dept. I had an urgent problem with my car that warranted taking it to a dealer of the make and model. It is my first and will be my last encounter with this dealership. My reasoning is as such, from the initial encounter with the service staff persons I was treated in a very condescending manner. As if I didn't have enough intelligence to know what I was experiencing with the malfunction of my car. I have no reservations in saying that the reason I was treated in this manner is because I am a black woman. That for me is the most troubling. The problem with my vehicle limited my options to seek service elsewhere once I came to this dealership. Then along with this treatment comes the absorbent charge for the repair to replace a sensor that snapped out and in. I left there feeling violated personally and financially. I have dealt with cars and dealers for years. This was the worst service experience to date. I would advise anyone looking for a car or service to stay far away from Bill Rapp GMC. read more

Purchased a new truck from Bill Rapp GMC, excellent experience with absolutely no pressure to buy. Salesman Taj was extremely knowledgeable and very patient with me as I made my decision. Follow up from dealership is equally amazing. I highly recommend Bill Rapp!!! read more

I bought a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. it has about 35000 miles. it was loud when I purchased it. didn't think much of it until it got much louder and was making revving sounds when driving. not happy that within a year after purchase I had to spend over 2200$ on repairs. people in the service department are very nice and helpful but not sure if I will buy from them again. read more

Excellent sales experience! Highly recommend Matt Rabbia. The process was easy and enjoyable.

I have purchased cars from Bill Rapp for decades!! One of the primary reasons is their excellent service department. When you take the car in and they tell you how long it will take, they are spot on. The waiting area is comfortable and the service advisors keep you informed and come to tell you when the work is complete. They also offer a shuttle if needed. The sales people are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to find the vehicle you want. read more

I waited three hours--had a 1pm appointment for a state inspection and didn't leave the shop until after 4. Usually I do drop off, and it goes smoothly, but this time I was disappointed. read more

Outstanding dealership, professional services, also a quality collision center. Best dealership in central New York

I was disappointed. I had a 2pm appointment for an oil change and didn't leave the shop until 4:20. Having two competing systems is a strange concept: appointments and express. I got the impression that the express folks got preference. If you have an appointment, that should come first!! read more

Dropped my car to have back brakes replaced on February 21st. I was told the front brakes also needed to be replaced. I had to wait for parts to come in, so on Thursday March 7th, paid for the repairs, but had to return the car I borrowed from a relative before I could pick my car up. Two hours later I returned to get my car, IT MADE MORE NOISE THAN WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. First thing Friday morning I called to explain my problem. ''We can look at your car on Monday.'' I asked to speak with Manager, asking to get my car back in sooner. You shouldn't drive it, and bring it here Monday. I have no idea how whomever drove my car out of the bay did not hear the squealing. I ended up taking my car to another mechanic who could see me immediately and fix the problem, with the front brake I didn't even have a problem with before I brought it there. In my opinion Bill Rapp should have brought me a loner on Friday or seen me immediatly. read more

Went looking for a particular car that they had on the lot and got to give it a thorough test drive. Ended up being the one we bought. Our salesman was knowledgeable and informative and very responsive. The car was prepped and ready when we asked for it and when they said it would be ready. Overall it was a good buying experience without any of the nonsense that can sometimes accompany the purchase of a new car. read more

I'm happy with the overall work they do, 30 minute or less oil change and tire rotation was great. However, when you buy a new car, do all the service work there, have a front end replaced (deer) and they won't replace a wiper you purchased from them 6 months previously, makes it seem like they don't value you as a customer. May think twice about where we make our next new car purchase...... read more

I bought a used car 11 months ago and since the 5th day I had the car everything has gone wrong I have to go sit at least once a month in the garage to have something new or a reoccurring old problem fixed they don't have shuttle service to Madison County I've sat there for 4 hours 3 and 1/2 hours now a shifter that was on back order for 10 months has been canceled they don't have any in the country or a manufacturer to even make them so now I still have a broken lemon that they sold me and a loan that is going to outlast the car that I need for work everyday and it's only a matter of time before the shifter stops working completely then it will join the 17 other Dodge Darts that are not running at all because of broken shifters read more

My GMC Sierra Denali check engine came on! Took it to Rapp's, dealt with a service guy named Bill B. First off, the attitude Bill throws off is that he hates his job and doesn't want to be there! Second, way over priced, quoted me $1100, not including tax, to fix the problem, was told the part won't be in until the next day! so I figured I had time to shop around. Found a family owned and operated shop that said they will do the work for $750.00. Tried to pick my car up the same day, and Rapp's gave me a bill of $500.00! now I'm stuck paying more, and Rapp's nickels and dimes there customers. I did inquire about a trade and was going to purchase a new truck, but after this experience and the way Bill B spoke to me (with his shit attitude, and his argumentative tendencies) I will no longer be purchasing a new truck from Rapp's or using the service department ever! i do not recommend d this place at all when looking for a new car/ or truck, go somewhere else where they appreciate you and genuinely want to help you! read more

The service department at Bill Rapp Subaru has consistently been reliable and professional since I purchased my first Subaru in 1990. The service writers are friendly and keep customers informed. The only downside is that it may take two to three weeks to get an appointment on line. read more

Courteous staff always. On time service always. The one time they did not have my car at the end of the day as promise gave me a loaner to get home! Provides shuttle to work if needed, and I love the loyal customer coupons I get in the mail. we received notice from Subaru that the parts for our transmission recall were finally available and we should schedule with dealer. we scheduled online two weeks out because the work was not available for drive in service. 3 days out, the the car's info system reminded us of the service and asked if we would confirm that the recall would be performed during the service. when we arrived for the appointment (we live about 40 miles out), we were told that they could not do the recall until May of 2023. in addition, they claimed they could not perform the update on the cars info system firmware because their network firewall would not allow them to. we need to figure out how to do that upgrade on our own getting the car close enough to a modem and start it and let it run for about an hour to download. read more

Extremely shady dealership, their "serviced" cars are detailed once and left on the left for months, and sold to customers as is, expired fluids included. Dan the salesman was very dishonest and not forthcoming, selling me a car with many issues, given temporary fixes before being sold to me that morning. After speaking with management, it's clear they're aware of this culture and encourage it, anything to sell cars. Taking advantage of students in the middle of a pandemic is laughable. Highly recommend avoiding this mom and pop shop unless you want a money pot. read more

I took my car in to have a few recalled parts fixed. They did a great job & had the work done early. They even washed it for me! In the past I've taken my car to a DIFFERENT dealership for a recalled item. They called me with a list of other things I needed to fix. Some of it was legit, but still over priced when I took it to my local mechanic. Today, the Bill Rapp technician just called to say my car was ready! (They didn't try to find other things they could charge me for, & I appreciate it!) Everyone was very nice, very helpful, and the process was extremely easy & convenient. I scheduled the appointment online, and a representative called ahead to make sure the recalls applied to my vehicle, which obviously saved us both time. I'm really impressed by their professionalism. I'll definitely consider them for future service work & when I'm ready to purchase my next car. read more

Being near Rochester, the Buick-GMC dealers aren't quality so we did some Syracuse shopping for SUVs. We stopped at Summitt and then decided to head to Bill Rapp. At Bill Rapp it was more of a new car selection, and deals to lease but they wouldn't try to work with us much being from farther away - we tried to say we were looking to buy a USED car but employees didn't seem to listen and were focused on selling as much cars as they could. Too bad we used to hear good things about Bill Rapp from people back home - but this experience was just like what we receive at Buick-GMC dealers in Rochester, overpriced trucks & SUVs and gimmicks and employees who are all about profit not consumer demands. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Bill Rapp Buick GMC and especially Sean Abbott, who handled my new lease with a great deal of patience and professionalism. Purchased a new Buick Encore and have had to use their service department twice within first two months of owning the vehicle. They could honestly care less if they have me as a customer or not. They tell me they will call to follow up and never call. Wish their was a closer Buick service center. Wish I went out of town and purchased it. My mistake thought I would be treated better from a smaller dealership, boy I was wrong! read more

Working in the Auto industry for the last 20 years, I look for a dealer that is willing to start a relationship. I have used other dealers in the area and they only seem to want to sell a car not create a customer for long term. The sales process was easy and at the pace that I wanted. Sam Abdo did and awesome job communicating with me and more importantly the way I wanted to communicate. I really hope the service side is the same way. If so I have found me dealer that I can trust. Good job Sam. read more

After the fiasco we had buying a car in Auburn a few years back, I was not thrilled about buying a new truck. We went to Bill Rapp first bc we wanted a GMC. It was our first and last stop. Customer service was perfection! We talked about our price range and color preferences and Mike Smeader went out of his way to make sure we were happy. No hassle with financing and no one tried to sell us expensive service agreements that we didn't need. Picked up truck by the end of the day. Mike went through the owners manual and set all our preferences regarding on star, satellite radio and blue tooth. Phenomenal experience! read more

We were very interested in a used Genesis and would have bought it but they were 6,000 too low on my trade in car, a two year old car with a sticker price of 34,000 and they would only allow 8,500 trade-in value when blue book trade value was 16,000. Too bad ! read more
