We hade the fried chicken and fries. The chicken was very good, but the fries were not hot. I'm sure they'd have been delicious if they had been a bit more fresh. The food on its own would get four stars, but the service from the young man who took our order was beyond terrible. It certainly seemed he did not want to be there. He was cranky, very short, and condescending. He did not thank us for ordering, just said "it'll be right out." The young man who brought our food to the table just dropped it off and walked away. Fresh out of major surgery, stuck on bed rest, crying in pain at 4:30 a.m., and all I wanted was Bill Miller this evening to make it all better. Unfortunately, my DoorDash driver thought, "Eh, close enough" and left my food THREE FLOORS UP!!! I'm in a new apartment so I double & triple checked that the apt. number on my order was correct, YES! Did it eventually get to my apt? NO! Did they fix it? NO! Did they refund me? Also, NO! Bill Miller nearly had a lawsuit on their hands. I nearly swallowed this bone which looks an awful lot like a chicken bone by the color of the bone, thickness & size of the joint. It was in my WildBill which is Brisket & Sausage!!!! So if a chicken bone was in my sandwich, does that mean there is a chance for cross contamination? I don't normally support Bill Millers anyway because 85% of their food is prepared at their factory off site but I was in a pinch with time constraints so I took a chance. I am SO impressed! First time in and was not sure of what to order. Ordered the po'boy and it was good however wasn't in love. Unbeknownst to me a team member was sitting next to us and heard me telling my friend she got up and immediately asked if she could change my plate for me! Who does that? Very disappointed that this location doesn't have a baby changing station in either the women's or men's restroom. Boerne is a family city and while I was dining in with my kids, had no where to change my child except for my own lap on the floor. I'll start by apologizing if the food I was served was not from this location. I am in a Bible study in Boerne that had Bill Miller cater our year's end with a barbecue supper. Okay, I grew up in San Antonio and of course am familiar with their food. I rarely choose to eat Bill Miller for the obvious reason, it's not very good. The plate we were served was barbecued chicken, beans, potato salad and coleslaw. You would think a food establishment as old as Bill Miller would have learned how to season their food. This Bill Miller is excellent. We have eaten here several times, and the food is always fresh and delicious. We have also bought our past few Thanksgiving meal family bundles from here, and everything is absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Turkey is moist, mashed potatoes and gravy are tasty. The fried chicken is decent. Crispy and less grease than some other locations. You need to be careful to order the actual chicken pieces rather than the chicken tenders. The ice tea is very good. One down side is that they don't do pork. Well, they do pork spareribs but not pulled pork plates and/or sandwiches. The slaw is OK for a vinegar-based slaw. The brisket was not very appealing. It was very bland and had a consistency of canned meat. The bottom line is that I'll order the chicken the nxt time I go back to Bill Miller's read more
