Service was good. Ambiance ok. Food--at least the bbq--NOT good. Sausage fatty, brisket fatty and neither very flavorful. Came drowned in watery, flavorless sauce. Potato salad soupy. The 3-star rating isn't for the food. Everyone in San Antonio knows this place has some of the best food. It's for the ordering process and the food we received. The service was good. The cashier was genuinely happy to see us and made us feel welcome. However, there was chaos with our order and when we finally got it, it was not right. We are not new to this chain but were new to this location and with others, we did not have this issue. In short will I return? Ummm yeah honey! Their chicken would put my granny on notice! Bill Millers in my opinion is supposed to be the same in every location. This one is very good and at a convenient location for me. Tbh I could eat Bill Millers three times out of the week. They get my order to me fairly quickly and sometimes they'll even bring it to the table which is wonderful. I will continue going to this location as long as I live on this side of town. read more

Not really sure why it's called Bill Miller BBQ as their BBQ is extremely sub-par. I have tried it several times at several locations, and it's always the same. Look if you dont love bill millers , are you really a San Antonian ? To me the bbq is always solid , the fried chicken is amazing ( I prefer the tenders ) and the sides are the bomb , but did you know they make AMAZING breakfast tacos too WITH SOME OF THE BEST SALSA !! The breakfast tacos use leftover staples in the kitchen ( Hashbrowns are the same as they use with dinner , so your egg and potato has a bit more flavor bc those hashbrowns are bombdiggity ) Build yourself a super taco , Bean , cheese , hashbrown , sausage and if you are daring add some brisket ~ It will be a bit more expensive but order some extra tortillas bc they fill it to the brim and you can catch the droppings in to another taco !! read more

Just got done waiting 20 minutes in curbside parking even though there was no one else in curbside. I had to walk inside to pick up my order and there was no one in line inside either! When I walked up the register it took another 3-4 minutes to be acknowledged and when I explained I had been waiting for my order the employee didn't say anything just walked away to the back. After waiting a additional 5 minutes another employee I believe a manager walked up handed me my food with no words and walked off. Overall I had to wait over 30 minutes for a quart of Mac n cheese and half a pound of brisket. Well folks I loved Bill Millers. That is till yesterday. Had to wear a mask to enter. Wasn't happy but I did it. Then placed my order. Then went and sat down and removed my mask. Employees brought my food to me. Why wear a mask to order when there is 8 ft between you and employee. But no mask as they stand right next to you. Then if you want a tea refill. Rather then putting into a sterile cup and pouring it into your cup and washing the other cup or pitcher. Nope they charge you for another tea 2.14. So I commented on their Facebook page. Sometimes Bill Miller BBQ can be sub par but when I brought my employees to this one after our meeting I was surprised that the food was rather good. The brisket was a little fatty but has plenty of flavor, The ribs were almost perfect in texture, the sausage was a bit below average. Ok I'd like to follow up with my last post 2 weeks ago. After my last gripe about people blocking the plot here just to wait in line for the drive thru line. Absolute koi DPS to the management for listening to my rant and making positive improvements. I've been sitting here for 45 minutes and not observed one problem with thru traffic as they now have an employee stopping people in a safe place and taking orders, prior to blocking the traffic. I ordered a Poor Boy Plus with hash browns and a large sweet tea while driving through town doing deliveries. The meat in my sandwich was extremely disappointing to say the least. Lots of fat (chewy and felt like eating gristle at times) and the brisket meat was hard and dry. Really frustrating when they open at 5:30, turn their lights on, indicating they have opened, yet no one answers the drive thru. Even better when you pull up to the window and you still get ignored, but see people on the back line talking and laughing, even worse when a worker walks up to the window, sees you, and still says nothing. Such poor customer service. Would have been very easy and courteous to open the damn window and just explain what was going on. Very disappointed. read more

Very friendly employees and great customer service. The 2 star rating is for their food quality and taste. I have found that depending on the location, Bill Millers is either really good or blah. This one was great when it first opened but I was in there today and the quality and taste of the food just wasn't worth the high price. My biggest problem was that I ordered extra lean brisket and was given chunks of fatty meat instead. They then covered it heavily in their bbq sauce to cover it up I guess. This location is very clean and well kept though. read more
