Locally owned, family-run dealership. I have been leaning towards the 2017 Cadillac Escalade but whenever I see one, I keep thinking about rappers, pro athletes, divas, and porn stars. I am more low-key and restrained. At a friend's suggestion, maybe the Escalade is too blingy for me but I should look at a Tahoe/Suburban Premier 4x4. The Tahoe is too short for my family and the kids's sport equipment and musical instruments. The Suburban is similar to the longer Escalade. The one big difference is that the Chevy's 5.3L V-8 is certainly more than adequate but is not as strong compared to the Escalade's powerful 6.2L V-8. I kept looking at the dash for the button that calls for more squirrels to report to the engine compartment to run faster on the treadmill for more power! The salesperson (sorry, don't have his card right now) was very professional and helpful. His product and competitive knowledge allowed him to answer all my questions. I like to do business locally; if I go with the Chevy Suburban, I'll buy here. I like the low key image of the Suburban but with the refined power of the Cadillac. My situation: New Job and from Arizona. Problem: Weak Battery, 20k service, and gulp, my transmission is jerky, surging, slippy, and acceleration poor. The transmission is a known issue and I'm worried. Vehicle: 2017 Colorado My expectations: Medium to low; things like sorry sir can't duplicate, battery is fine, oil changed, and pay up. I needed a loaner car. The actuality: First of all I'm not going to name any names because everything is a team effort and the team in the service department were all fantastic and exceptional. There is enough information in my post for the management there to identify who I am and who worked with me if needed. I was checked in quickly and my loaner was ready when I arrived just had to do some paperwork of course. That night my loaner had major issues, but by 0800 the next morning my loaner was swapped out like no problem. They had my truck for a couple days to check it out. I went to get my truck and was told everything was fixed and good to go (they confirmed the problem and repaired my truck!). I was in and out very quickly and at a very reasonable price for the service they provided. I ran my truck hard on the way back to my place and drove it normally trying to duplicate the issues I was having when I took it in. Everything worked perfectly and actually better than when I first got it. Our family has purchased almost every vehicle we've ever had through here and still love the sales team but we've all become increasingly annoyed with getting any of those vehicles serviced here now. I made an appointment a while ago to get an oil change one day with tire rotations, left for several hours, and four or five hours later when I returned, the car hadn't even been touched yet. Before I even expressed my irritation, was offered gift certificates so made an appointment the following time to come again. I skipped a visit with them and came back six months later. I stayed and waited in the lobby. Despite the appointment, I still sat for over an hour and a half. I still didn't even complain, knowing everybody is entitled to their off days. This last time, now a few months ago now, we sent the car in for several days for repairs and were fine spending a pretty penny to get it done. We made our first ever complaint to the service manager about the quality of the repairs and were met with a pure childish attitude. That's it for us. It's probably been over 10 years with Bill Crispin and half a dozen vehicles purchased from them and with the first complaint ever, you don't talk to your good customers with childish attitude when you've made a mistake. When we bought our last car new here it was a nightmare. A lot of bait and switch on pricing, just emotional for us and not at all fun. In the end we got what we wanted but were never happy about it. The memory really stuck with us. As they had pushed used to us the last time, we did go in to check it out when we were searching out a slightly used HHR. They had one overpriced 2011, a white one, and they seemed really to not want to seriously deal. Having gone through the wringer on a NEW car with them I really did not even want to start haggling on a used one. Almost immediately they started trying to push me to a realllllllly old HHR with too many miles instead of talking about a better deal on one I was actually interested in pursuing. Yikes. We got our used 2000 Chevy Venture through Crispin Chevrolet. It was only a couple of years old when we got it, and had lived a powder-puff life. Relatively low mileage, as if it had been only a vacation-mobile. It was given a thorough detailing before being turned over to us. We take the Venture back to Crispin whenever it is a good idea to have a GM dealer do it, and/or when hubby doesn't have time to do it himself. We also take our Saturn there. We have been going here for maintenance and repairs since 2002. One time we planned to leave town and I recognized a trip-stopping problem in the afternoon. I drove it over to Crispin right away. They were able to fix the problem quickly, and we were still able to go on our trip, only leaving a little later than originally planned. They have shuttle vans to pick up and drop off customers. The drivers are always very friendly. Today when I was picked up, the driver remembered me and asked how ski season had gone for us. Good memory! Nice guy! If you prefer to wait, the waiting room is fairly nice, and they've let me wait there with my dog. I have never felt the least belittled or talked down to (as a woman) by any of the personnel. Sometimes, I might not know the correct terminology, but they patiently try to understand my explanation, looking for the meaning behind my description. I am truly surprised that there are three one-star reviews, one four-star and FIFTY-FOUR filtered reviews that are predominantly five-star, but posted by 0/1 or 0/4 Yelpers. This place is great. I have never had a problem and I'm sure if I did, they'd work with me to fix it. Give them a try if you own a GM vehicle. read more

The rest of the staff are just as pleasant and amazing as well, and they are beyond accommodating. Laura stayed late to meet me TWICE and didn't bat an eye. She also was attentive and she wasn't pushy. I needed a new car during a particularly stressful and busy time and they were understanding and helpful; there was very little I needed to do. They were also very reasonable with pricing and worked around my budget, and I still got what I wanted (and then some). Throughout the experience, I would say they made me feel less like a customer and more like an acquaintance or friend. Everything about their approach felt genuine and more so focused on my needs and goals rather than finalizing a sale. This was my first time at this Chevrolet dealership. Even though they were fairly busy for 10:45am they got me right in. The service area, showroom, waiting room, and bathroom were all super clean. Coke product pop machines charging $0.85 (I assume they are cans) and free coffee. Cable TV in the waiting room playing CNN and a super comfy couch to sit back and relax at. A little special section for the kids with kid videos and basic toys. No WiFi though which was a bummer. The staff was beyond polite and my oil change was done in about 45 minutes which was the time they quoted me and the average for my truck. They even gave me the coupon rate for the oil change that was online that I didn't print out and was expired by a day. They also have an oil change punch card. After you acquire 4 oil changes you get the 5th one free!!! I will be coming back for sure. read more

This review is directly for the service department. And this bad experience may possibly be just because i dealt with "Matt" in service. Comes off as friendly when reading to you all the services you "need" and flips into this hostile being when you argue against it. He'll be quick to make you feel like a dumb car owner and he'll become a real character when trying to explain how much you need these "services." Now I am not a master mechanic or anything but I've got several years of experience with automotive, I own a couple thousand dollars worth of brand name tools and I've helped build 800+HP cars so yes... I just know that a car is something that moves magically when you turn the key and step on the gas. How it all started. Had a recall on my car, called them and they scheduled an appointment for me the minute they got the part. Took my car and he gave me his card for any further needs. I had a couple engine codes that the car was giving with the main problem being that the speedometer wasn't working and asked them for a diagnosis, they asked for $110 and no way around it for the diagnosis fee so I brought it in after scheduling an appointment. Dropped off the car the night before and he calls me the next morning saying that the different codes will need 3 different diagnostic fees (total=$330) but he'll be "nice" and only charge me for 2 of them. This is where I argued against it and got the hostile side of their service guy. We agreed to start with one and if i needed the next one, we'd continue. Said he'll call me in a couple hours with some answers. The day goes by, i get no call, finish work and i head over there only to find out that they just moved my car further down the lot. They don't get to it till the end of the next day (2 days after i drop it off). Now my uncle owns a reputable shop in town and owns a really fancy computer to get the codes read but a couple friends convinced me that "GM's special computer" will unlock all the hidden problems that I cannot find with other computers. So i had all the codes at hand already, just wanted to see if they could pin point the problem for me. The result: "Hey, so we thoroughly looked into it and i went ahead and looked up parts and blah blah...so it looks like you're going to need about ~$3k in services." I ask him for specific answers and couldn't give me 1 clear answer. Just a whole bunch of "we think it's this and that will fix this." What i dreaded to hear...the same exact answers I had from the other computer but I had more detail with my uncles fancy snap-on computer than what I got from the Matt at Bill Crispin. He goes on to say that i'll need to do the other diagnostic fee in order to look into the other codes my car was throwing...which I assume I already knew if the first diagnostic test gave me those poor results. Disappointed, I say no thank you, shake his hand and give the service lady $110 for him to insult me. So my main problem was my speedo and they asked me to pay around $250 for them to change the sensor. On my way home, i stop by an auto store, pick one up for $30, jack up the car and change it in under 10mins. But when I got underneath the car I had noticed something that any person with common "car" sense would have easily caught, the plug for the speed sensor was switched with the transmission temperature sensor and apparently it's a very common human error when servicing the trans on these cars, i switch over the connectors and shazam! I have a working speedometer and my trans temp now works. As far as that "thorough" diagnosis. I think that for $110, I paid them to connect a computer to the car, jot down some codes and called me to tell me how much they'd love for me to spend some more. In summary, take your vehicle to someone or some place who knows what they're doing and understands how hard you've worked for your hard earned money and who will truly do their best to help you get your car the righteous service and will do it while most of all showing you respect. This may possibly be just because I dealt with this specific person. But overall he gave me an impression of Bill Crispin Chevrolet that I will never forget. Did not have a good experience. My girlfriend and I were very clear about our monthly payment ceiling. Even after they couldn't meet it, they continued to push us for over 4 hours into purchasing the car. Went to go check out the used car lot. I would bet my life that they either photoshop the pictures online or play lighting games when they post images online because the cars we looked at were definitely not at smooth as they looked online. That's a huge red flag for me, and is pretty unethical if you ask me. Do they think their customers are blind? The car dealers were pretty nice and gave us a lot of their time, but lost my business when the financing agent (Travis) came out and started to throw an attitude. Tried to pressure us into buying with statements like he would rather sell the car off to auction than to a customer and/or there were other buyers. He'd be lucky to even get close to blue book at an auction. He has some questionable business tactics and does a disservice to himself and his sales team the way he comes on to customers. If you want to buy a used car here then don't go if you want to negotiate price because apparently that will set off some emotions. But seriously, if you're going to buy sticker price, why even have dealers in the first place? just make it a retail shop. The only reason I went to check out cars here was because it had excellent ratings from customers, but I wasn't impressed. Left and just bought a car at another dealer. read more

I've had my 2015 chevy trax for a little over 2 years and some how a spark plug already went bad causing my ignition coil to also go bad which cost me $575 to fix on a car that is only 2 years old is a little ridiculous to me. From my understanding spark plugs should last 100,000 miles, I'm at 56,000. Nothing was covered under the warranty and no compensation was offered for the $200 spent on the rental car I had to have. To drive a brand new car off the lot 27 months ago and be out close to $800 in repairs already is crazy. Not impressed with the chevy trax or the customer service received. read more
