Avoid this company at all costs. I signed up for lessons with one of their instructors. They took…read morethe payment then called back a week later and said that instructor left before I even purchased the lessons. I asked for a refund. They said i would see a refund within a few days. After a week without seeing it I disputed the charge with my card. Music and arts then sent me a bill for the amount disputed. When I called the main headquarters they were rude and useless saying they can't help i have to talk to the store. I called and talk to the store manager. He said he did not understand the bill. I said I was leaving to go out of town to please figure it out. He said he would and email me. I not only never received an email but I had a letter from collections when I got home just 2 weeks later. They bait you in advertising sevices they can't provide then try to use collections to bully you for money they didn't earn.

The inside is filled to the brim with a nice variety of musical instruments, tools, and other items. After a while, one of us spoke with the guys here, both of whom had apparently worked here for a very long time. Apparently, they've been open since 1931, but they were originally in New York City and associated with Juilliard, so it was a bit of a small world. Personally, we didn't make any purchases, but the guy with us said that the prices were good and he liked the tone of the guitar he tried. Support local businesses like this one before they're gone, or eventually you'll have to rely on Amazon or other junk.

It was finally sold on consignment after 2 years and several price reductions. The bad news is that they performed unauthorized repairs after the initial work, without explanation, which they then deducted from the balance paid out to the estate. Further, when I discussed this several times with Chris Greco, he assured me it should have been handled differently, and would issue a refund for that unauthorized work after discussing it with Linda. Months later I have no updates and no refunds as promised. I understand the work is specialized, but don't hide what you're doing. At this point I have lost any respect for the business and how they do things.
