I was an extremely happy long-term customer (15 years) of the Bikini Factory up until new ownership. I placed an order for a custom suit, and paid in full. However, they were out of the fabric I selected. I later found out, there are no refunds even in the case of the store being out of the fabric I selected. Do NOT expect a refund. They have a NO REFUND policy even in this situation. I had to beg and plead for a refund. And, I had to endure being spoken to in a very condescending, unprofessional tone. Very sad - an apology would ave gone a long way. read more

I am not accustom to writing reviews. In fact this Is the first yelp review I have ever felt compelled to write. Lately a vacation to Hawaii with my girlfriend, has been a fantasy. A few blessings came our way and the trip has been set. I am a very shy guy and my dream was to surprise her with a new swimsuit during winter and hook the plane tickets on the suite using the tag gun. I figured the bikini factory would be the perfect place to by my girlfriend that special gift. And so I went. Your employee summer was putting some suites away when I walked in. There is something, a feeling, that some people radiate, and summer had it. Hence why I remembered her name. Not only did I feel comfortable sharing my story with her I confidently seemed to value her suggestion. Summer sold me on the rushed Brazil bottoms and sexy top! When I gave my girlfriend the gift she couldn't believe how perfect it fit she looked at the price tag to see that they were two tags to Hawaii. I got several suits and some cover ups in the shop, and they helped me order a swim suit from their catalog with a different pattern but same fit as one in the store. I love this place. As someone who is at the beach and in the water a lot, I was sick of buying suits that didn't last more than one season and so I started going to bikini factory a few years ago. All the suits I have bought there have lasted multiple seasons. Their employees are truly customer service professionals who know how to fit the perfect suit based on your body type. I also like that you can mix and match bottoms and tops. They make their own bikinis that fit well too and can adjust most suits if needed. read more

Groupon deal $50 worth for $25!! We signed up for the Groupon deal and were excited to get my wife a nice suti. To our suprise $50 covered just the bottoms. Most suits averaged over $100! Very pricey but nice selection. If it wasn't for the Groupon we wouldn't be shopping here. read more

Limited selection in medium-larger sizes, with limited service to match. I was back visiting the SB area and drove over here thinking this would be a great opportunity to get a cute suit. My post-baby body is not what it was in my 30's, so I wear a size 12 and need at least a D cup. I wanted a tankini style suit. They had exactly ONE option, which was made with about 3 yards of fabric and not cute at all. Most disappointingly, the sales person (owner?) was not friendly or helpful at all. I had the distinct impression that I didn't fit her definition of a 'beach body', so she wasn't interested in helping me. She suggested I try Land's End for separates, and when I replied that it was a good idea, and that Title Nine has some as well, her response was "yes, but those are more athletic". Ugh. Also ironic that on the way out the door I saw a notebook entitled 'custom swimsuits', which she never even mentioned. I would have loved to have seen some custom options (and can afford them), but at that point was too annoyed to stay. Might be a great store if both your wallet AND your figure meet her standards. read more

I love this swimsuit store! I've been buying swimsuits here since I was 13 or so (15+ years ago). They are admittedly on the high end for prices but the quality makes up for it. Their selection is quite large and diverse and I love that they have a TON of sizes available for bikinis. My mom buys one pieces and also loves their diverse choices. Let's not forget that they have a ton of cute accessories like coverups, flip flops, and beach bags. An example of why I love them: I have a large chest size that one might think you'd see on an overweight person. I'm somewhere in the middle weight-size (not skinny, not overweight), so it's great I don't have to buy an XL bikini top with XL bottoms. I can buy a large bikini top and a medium bottom. Also, I believe they do tailoring if something isn't just right. Another thing I haven't taken advantage of but SHOULD is that they make custom swimsuits. I have no idea on the costs but I saw the fabric choices and thought they were very cute. Overall, between the Bikini Factory having such great swimsuits and Tinker's (absolutely delicious family-owner burger joint next door), Summerland is THE place to visit! read more

Live just down the street from Bikini Factory and stopped by with the girlfriend to buy her a bikini as part of her birthday gift. The employee Summer was just FANTASTIC! Not only was she very friendly, she was also very knowledgable about the products and made the experience fun, even for me as I just sat around and waited. I wen to Bikini Factory a few months ago. I've always had a problem finding a bikini that fit well because I am a 32 F and size 4 or 6. The service there was excellent. They were very understanding and gave me a lot of options for bikini tops and bottoms. The price was reasonable for the service and perfect fit. I loved it there and would recommend it to anyone...and I have recommended bikini factory to several friends and acquaintances, and girls I've met while shopping struggling with finding the appropriate size and fit. read more

I love this place! I am a DD and have never owned a cute swimsuit that fit all of my needs. Not only did I get my perfect bikini swimsuit, I was able to get the exact bandeau style I had been longing for that had amazing support. Linda, the owner is SUPER helpful and nice and her staff is sweet and helpful too. My swimsuit came out to $103 with tax (perfectly fit for MY body, top and bottoms) but that is well worth it for the personalized service, the extended time they took helping me find exactly what I wanted, and the ability to support a local business. Not to mention these suits are good quality so I don't see my self needing to replace them as fast as the cheap target brand the gradually loosened and broke. Also they do CUSTOM fittings and can alter their existing stock to fit all of your needs. What a treat to have such a great store in a place that a good bathing suit/bikini is a necessity! I have never written a review but I feel as though hopefully I can help someone else to not make the same mistake that I did. I wanted to shop more locally than a department store and now I regret doing that. I am not a huge fan of bathing suits to begin with but I found one there that seemed to fit me well and I also got help from the wonderful sales associate. When I went into the pool the next day the top was falling down, completely not fitting me well. I was super bummed so I switched swim suits and saved my tags and receipts. I called and asked if there was anything at all I could do. I didn't want them to lose money I was happy to pick a different suit that worked better for me. What I got was an "we absolutely cannot do that, I mean would you want to wear a suit someone else has worn?" Well no, obviously not. But don't you want a satisfied customer that is willing to try your business again? Unfortunately that wasn't her concern. Now I am left with a suit that was over $100 and I will probably never wear it again. What is even more sad is that if I had bought from Nordstrom they would have returned in a heartbeat. All the reviews about Summer are so right on. Go here, make sure she's working and it will be the best suit buying experience ever. I didn't even have to touch a rack, told her what I wanted, didn't even talk size & she brought me 5 that got better each time. I left with 2 1/2, 3 tops 2 bottoms that all co-ordinate. She is so personable, able to handle multiple clients, phone calls, other people just meandering in to ask questions, etc. Suits are a bit pricey but well worth it. I will be back.
