Prices are Ok but they are so busy that for a simple wheel truing you need to leave your wheels there for a week!

My initial visit was just to stop in and browse but before leaving, I had my eye on a specific…read morebike. It had not seen the "Doctor" yet and I asked if I could come back the following day at the same time to purchase it. All agreed. I came in the next day to the same people and smiles. They had my bike ready to go. I went on a couple of rides and fell in love. It was exactly what I was looking for and wanted. Needless to say, I had the best experience, start to finish. Everyone there was so friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to support my community by purchasing a Bike from Wheel Deals and a Specialized at that! If you're looking for a beginner bike you'd like to get dirty or even a veteran at biking, they've got something for you. And if they don't today, they will. They've got a great selection on the floor with dozens of back stock that they're willing to look through if you've got something in mind. I will always recommend Wheel Deals before any other bike shop or chain store. 100% of the proceeds go to the family run Homeless shelter and I even got a free helmet with my purchase. These guys.. and gals rock! Check them out. We will definitely be back. Edit: I should mention, these are donated and used bicycles that are brought back to life. Workmanship guaranteed, 100%. My bike of choice wasn't the prettiest but it's going to last me years to come. Plus, I'm out riding to exercise and enjoy nature, not show off my cool bike.

I love that all proceeds go to support families through Open House Ministries. You can tell they really care about the community. Definitely coming back for any future bike needs!

I left my house this morning on what was supposed to be a two day ride to Pacific City via Astoria. One mile from my house, the front derailleur cage snapped in two. The bike was technically rideable (back home) but the trip was sunk. After some communication with Todd, the bike was back in use by 3PM this afternoon (so I can ride directly to Pacific City tomorrow). It would have taken at least a week to get this done at any traditional shop. Not to rag on traditional local shops - they just have a different business model. Considering the mobile nature of his services and the timeliness, the cost was beyond reasonable. In the intervening years, Todd has also done a ton of other essential services. He rebuilt an old Cannondale frame up into a super lightweight (and modern) road bike and has kept my old Raleigh mountain bike (circa 1989) in the rotation as well. My biggest concern about Todd is that he might move out of the area sometime. Then I would truly be left in a lurch. In the meantime, I'll continue to rely on his excellent service.
