Stopped by Bike Bling recently and overall had a really solid experience. Came in with a tubeless flat and they fixed it on the spot--huge clutch when you're trying to get back out riding quickly. The front staff was super friendly, helpful, and actually takes the time to talk through what you need without making you feel rushed. Actually even refilled my water bottles on a really hot day. Been here twice- and the first time, i felt like my services were being rushed or not important so I just bought a tube for my tire and decided to get it serviced elsewhere. This was months ago. I decided to try again, with a different bike and tire so I looked up hours and saw open at 9am, I was at the parking lot at 9:15 am on a Monday, and it was closed. I waited about 20mins or so and nope- no one came to open the store. I took my money down to the new e-bike store where the Jacked Up Brewery once was- but across the lot. Follow-up review: Kerry at Bike Bling followed through after the sale to tweak a couple components that were not quite what I wanted in the original Pinarello X9 build. He worked with me over a couple month span to get everything in order which I think was warranted due to the price of the bike. I have been riding it for over a month now and have almost 500 miles on it. I really like the ride and the looks of the bike. I would recommend buying a Pinarello from Kerry if you don't have a local shop that carries the brand, which would be most everyone in the US since not many shops carry them. He went the extra mile to make up for not being local and although the process took a bit longer due to shipping, he covered all the bases and saw the process through to the end. Took a 1952 schwinn collegiate bike found on the curb in our neighborhood after a community yard sales in the cul-de-sac and gave it a couple hundred dollar paint job. Spent hours w/Brillo pads to the bright work. Then my search to replace my crusty/useless chain began, after returning an Amazon purchase, I reached out to my local bike shop Bike Bling. Shop is Bosch dealer so I asked them to turn on my front and rear light feature (Bosch ebikes are sold with it deactivated). Bosch said there is no charge for this. It is literally just involves plugging in cable and turning on in the Bosch software app. They said they would only do it if I paid them to update my software for $35.00. I said I don't want to update right now, but I need my lights to turn on. They refused so I contacted Bosch. A couple years ago my friend took their bike in for repair. They gave him a quote. When he arrived to pick it up they wanted more and claimed they had called and gotten approval. When we asked when and who they spoke to they had no record. It took a week of exchanges before they accepted original amount. Beware of doing business with this shop. BTW...I called Charlie's Electric Bike Shop by the coast and they said they immediately said no charge for turning on light. They didn't try to force an update. Wholeheartedly....ZERO stars. See emails below. Run away...most likely will have to especially if you ordered a bike from them and it never shows up. I get it, global pandemic. I get it, "You're inundated with emails". I get that you couldn't keep your website up to date. You also have to get that your business looks like an absolute scam job. If you don't answer calls, or emails, and you don't ship things that you've promised...you're not a real business. You cant be. My long story short with this fraud shop: Bike stolen in July (not their fault that I can tell)... Frantically get online to find a bike. Bike bling website promising, "Order now for August delivery" (lie number 1). Place order and hope and pray its not a scam. Call the next day to confirm not being scammed, someone actually answered and promised they were on schedule (lie number 2). Emailed end of August quoting what I was told, see email below. Response to said email, "first week in Otober (sic)" see email below. Over the course of the next 2 months, call 5 more times. Email probably 10 times. Nothing. It's been 3 months. It's late October and no bike (massive lie number 3). This cant be how you run a business, global pandemic or not. You aren't legitimate. In what business is that not a scam? I called to verify the bikes were available the guy on the phone was super knowledgeable about the bikes and had an answer on availability in seconds. I was aware that things may be a little backed up due to the volume of ppl purchasing bikes BUT I called on 07/28/30 because when I logged into the website, put my order number in, and clicked submit, it said "processing". So I'm like okay let's call to get an ETA. Guy answered after the 3rd time of me calling. Super nice and explained it would be a few weeks blah blah. I asked for clarity.. "a few as in two or a few but you mean more than?" He laughed and said "yes ma'am just two". Boom, I checked back 3.5 weeks later. Website first (processing) then call. Another guy, extremely nice. Explaining they won't had a few mechanics so things are behind. Okay cool.. no problem. When do you think? Uhhh a few more weeks ma'am. I inquired about a refund and he said we can process one if you'd like but we're finally through the June orders, I promise yours is coming up. Cool! On 09/22/20 I called again.. called 20x. FINALLY got an answer. The guy was also NICE. Gave my order number he said "we're still working on it". I said nah. It's been since July 2nd fam, I need a different answer. He quickly said "you're right, let me see bc this is strange" (guessing he stopped just looking at the word processing). He put me on a hold for 6 mins and came back to tell me they somehow LOST the bike. At this point, I'm livid. How does something sit in your queue for months and no one thinks "let me check on this". He offered a discount on another bike and apologized but I declined. Get it together bike bling. That's unacceptable! The last guy that I spoke with seem to be the only one with sense enough to go look. I brought my Levo in for a simple brake bleed expecting possibly a week? Walked my bike past the kid at the front counter "Service" I said. He said to check into back. I knew that. Just being polite to include him. So, almost to the service desk and he calls them on speaker "Service to the front". I hear "I'm not taking any more bikes or tickets" without even coming forward. I yelled back "You're joking right?" He said no. So I left in a huff letting the 4 shoppers know I had tried after a five year break up but failed again. Sad shop. I'm 70 but If a young bike savvy and customer serve oriented guy wanted to start a business there is certainly major room in Escondido for a great bike service center. I was in Escondido a few weeks ago and out for a bike ride one day. I needed a mountain bike style brake cable in order to fix the brake on my dear mother's walker. As I came in the door an employee said hi and I told him that I needed a brake cable. He asked, "Is this for a hydraulic brake?" That was my first clue, but I persisted. Another employee got involved, "What length do you need?" I explained that I needed the inner cable, not the housing. What I did not tell them is that I work as a mechanic at another bike shop. There were one or two other salient points that informed my decision; I said, "Just a minute, I have an idea." That's when I turned around, walked over to my bike, Old Paint, and left. I am reluctant to leave a one star review for another shop, especially in my home town, but the sad reality is that my experience with Bike Bling was abysmal. read more

I did receive a discount for tire replacement and new pads...... $75 for bike mechanic assembly $51 for new tire and pads $600 for bicycle It's spilled milk now. Bought an Orbea M30 here. Great customer service, their store seems to be always busy so you got to keep on calling. The bike was in stock, they built it in a week and was ready for pick up. I was able to test ride the bike before purchasing. The chain was rubbing but I was able to get it professionally tuned which Bike bling reimbursed me for. My original purchase was the Mike Buff Fast Ripper but i didnt know they were a limited production of them until Kerry informed me. Mind you i was already making payments and yet to have possession of bike. I initially wanted to wait for new fast ripper to hit market in 2025 but after waiting four months NOVEMBER-FEBRUARY i got impatient and reached out to bike bling via e-mail in which Kerry responded the next day. he looked up my order verified i hadn't received a bike yet and quickly offered me alternatives in which i reluctantly chose Monster Ripper because i was dead set on a Fast Ripper bcuz of the gears. Called repeatedly daily (over 30 times per day) and they never answer the phone Sent 10 emails NO RESPONSE. On Feb 3rd, got ahold of someone and was told sales guy Juan quit and never processed the order. Was told Bike would be sent out that day. Week later, NO Bike Called repeatedly again and tracked down another salesperson who said they don't have it in stock. Was told I would get a full refund. Let me start off by saying that Bike Bling did a fantastic job of getting my gravel bike during this high bike demand COVID environment. Kerry was clear upfront about the lead time needed for the bike and he is also super passionate about bikes and loves getting bikes to customers. What people need to understand is that the global bicycle component supply chains are being inundated with high demand and it is going to take some time to get folks their bikes and bike related gear, this is the new reality that all bike manufacturers and bike shops are dealing with due to the surge in bike demand. Lastly, from what I have seen, Bike Bling is still one of the few shops trying to still get great bike deals for their customers at a time when many other bike shops are increasing their prices. In my case, Kerry not only got me a great deal but also delivered a great gravel bike. I will definitely be pinging Kerry and Bike Bling for my next bike-related purchase. read more

Just do everyone a favor a close shop. After four months and many calls to customer service, the dropper post that I ordered on BikeBling.com finally arrived. When I tried to install it on my bike, it didn't fit. I reviewed my order and realized that they sent me the wrong dropper post. To avoid calling customer service, I tried emailing and using the "chat" function on the website, and I got zero response. Ten calls and a hold on the phone later, I finally got through to with a person. The person on the other side was a very unsympathetic "Dude". Dude sounded low energy, annoyed, and boarded. After talking to him for two minutes, I realized that he just did not give a fuck. He gave enough of a fuck on the call to casually questioned whether the mistake on the order was my fault. I had to totally zen myself in order to continue the conversation. Dude finally told me that I will receive a UPS label via email in 24 hours so I can return the dropper post. BikeBling will only ship me what I ordered or refund me my money once they receive confirmation that I have mail the dropper post back to them. Four days later and no label... It took around ten more calls to get through to Dude again. I explained my situation again, and Dude asked me to hold. Dude accidentally did not put me on hold, and I can hear Dude talking to other dudes in the background. They sounded busy, tired, disorganized, and somewhere between stressed and not giving a fuck. When Dude picked up the phone again, he casually asked me "how can I help you?" I zenned-out and explained my situation again. Dude defended himself by saying that it was not his fault. The fault lies in other departments and upper management and that he was just the "guy answering the phone". I was nice and sympathetic to Dude, and Dude hazily promised that he will look into this... "I should get my UPS label soon..." I guess I will continue to manually adjust the seat post on my bike for the foreseeable future. This BikeBling is not even a bikefling.
