Don's barber is a walk-in only, no appointments, and the owner appears to be the only person working. Prices were some of the best in the industry at $14 (or $18). This location also does not accept credit or debit. So make sure to plan accordingly. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was empty. Don was able to get me in and out of his shop in less than 20 mins. Although the cut could have used a little more detailing for a fade, I thought the price was fair. Glad I gave them an opportunity and was beneficial in determining my future needs at this location. Definitely support 100% local if able to!!!

Barbaric Hair Butchers ! 75% TIP? Whaaaaa?…read more I recently had an experience at this barber shop that left me completely shocked. I've been to many places for haircuts, but I have never encountered a barber asking for a 75% tip on the bill--until now. After receiving a mediocre haircut, I was presented with the bill and was taken aback when the barber suggested 75% tip . This is not only excessive, but it also feels completely out of touch with standard tipping practices in the industry. Haircut for me was $ 36. So you want a $26 tip? $62 for 15 minute hack haircut? Tipping should be a reflection of great service quality, and frankly, I don't believe the haircut warranted such a high percentage. While the place I recently visited a barber shop called Mancave , expecting a classic man cave vibe, but I was sorely disappointed. Instead of the rugged, masculine atmosphere I anticipated, it felt more like a chick cat-owning club, the quality of service is inconsistent , relying heavily on the staff's mood and who happens to be working that day. I arrived to my scheduled appointment at 9:30 AM, but as I approached the front door at 9:22 AM, a blonde lady informed me that it would be "at least another 15 minutes" before she would even open the door . I found this puzzling, as I questioned how they could require an additional 15 minutes in an 8-minute window? To make matters worse, it was a chilly 39 degrees and raining outside. I felt unwelcome, almost rudely dismissed, being first customer . I stood outside until 9:32 AM while two staff members at the front desk seemed to ignore me, as if to send a message. Once inside, I was attended to by a stylist who had a Mike Tyson tattoo on her face. I was unsure of her qualifications for cutting hair, and frankly, I wouldn't trust her with clippers, but I needed to get hair cut. When she asked if I wanted my neck shaved, I couldn't help but wonder why she would even ask that--after all, I was at a barber! Than she said sorry we can't wash your hair we have no hot water . I said okeeeeey. The haircut itself was a disappointment; the back was choppy, and when I requested a touch up , she claimed it was the best she could do. With four decades of experience in getting haircuts, I know how a proper fade should look. Frustrated, she yelled across the room to blonde lady that told me it will be at least 15 minutes in the beginning exclaiming loudly, "Come on, man!" Overall, my experience was marked by unprofessionalism and a lack of basic customer service. I left feeling undervalued and dissatisfied. My last time visiting the Cave that has zero a fresh haircut vibe in it.

The precision he used to make sure everything was even and lined up was unlike anything we've experienced before and my son has had a handful of barbers in the past. Our last barber in Snohomish is moving so we thought to try something closer to home. I'm so glad we found such a quality place. The shop is clean. Smells good. And the barbers are friendly. I would guess it's geared more toward adult men, however the barber had the booster seat for my son, and there was also another young boy getting his hair cut there as well. To all the moms, this is the spot for a good boy's and men's cute. Lastly, we were a walk in appointment and were helped right away. This was a Thursday afternoon. 3 other men were getting hair cuts while I was there and the other younger boy as I mentioned above. It seems like a busy place yet enough barbers available to meet demand. Highly impressed.

I was recommended by a friend to get a haircut here. I have always struggled finding a barber that I've liked and that I trust with my hair. I had one a few years back that unfortunately moved away and I've been struggling to find an adequate replacement since and have been frustrated time and time again with my haircuts. I was skeptical and assumed I'd be disappointed with a total stranger in Monroe, but to my pleasant surprise I received the best cut I've had in years. Korryn knows what she's going. She gave me some solid advice and was quickly identified what would work well with my hair type and the direction my hair is prone to grow. The cut only took ~20 minutes and came with a complimentary shave on the back of the neck with a straight blade. I don't really go out of my way to leave reviews for barbers unless I am really impressed, and I was impressed enough to literally add this business to Yelp so that Korynn could generate more business from more avenues and so that people would know there's a competent barber that specializes in men's cuts in Monroe and doesn't give you the typical Great Clips or Man Cave treatment of uneven sloppy and fast hack jobs.
