They were able to fit me in last minute for a pre-Easter fam gathering haircut. The store was hopping and even though I didn't have a reservation on gal up front found a slot a 1/2 hr wait. Only about 20 min later I'm in the chair Minimal chat and 30 min later after a quick cut and shampoo I also bought a bottle of the tea tree shampoo read more

Barbaric Hair Butchers ! 75% TIP? Whaaaaa? I recently had an experience at this barber shop that left me completely shocked. I've been to many places for haircuts, but I have never encountered a barber asking for a 75% tip on the bill--until now. After receiving a mediocre haircut, I was presented with the bill and was taken aback when the barber suggested 75% tip . This is not only excessive, but it also feels completely out of touch with standard tipping practices in the industry. Haircut for me was $ 36. So you want a $26 tip? $62 for 15 minute hack haircut? Tipping should be a reflection of great service quality, and frankly, I don't believe the haircut warranted such a high percentage. While the place I recently visited a barber shop called Mancave , expecting a classic man cave vibe, but I was sorely disappointed. Instead of the rugged, masculine atmosphere I anticipated, it felt more like a chick cat-owning club, the quality of service is inconsistent , relying heavily on the staff's mood and who happens to be working that day. I arrived to my scheduled appointment at 9:30 AM, but as I approached the front door at 9:22 AM, a blonde lady informed me that it would be "at least another 15 minutes" before she would even open the door . I found this puzzling, as I questioned how they could require an additional 15 minutes in an 8-minute window? To make matters worse, it was a chilly 39 degrees and raining outside. I felt unwelcome, almost rudely dismissed, being first customer . I stood outside until 9:32 AM while two staff members at the front desk seemed to ignore me, as if to send a message. Once inside, I was attended to by a stylist who had a Mike Tyson tattoo on her face. I was unsure of her qualifications for cutting hair, and frankly, I wouldn't trust her with clippers, but I needed to get hair cut. When she asked if I wanted my neck shaved, I couldn't help but wonder why she would even ask that--after all, I was at a barber! Than she said sorry we can't wash your hair we have no hot water . I said okeeeeey. The haircut itself was a disappointment; the back was choppy, and when I requested a touch up , she claimed it was the best she could do. With four decades of experience in getting haircuts, I know how a proper fade should look. Frustrated, she yelled across the room to blonde lady that told me it will be at least 15 minutes in the beginning exclaiming loudly, "Come on, man!" Overall, my experience was marked by unprofessionalism and a lack of basic customer service. I left feeling undervalued and dissatisfied. My last time visiting the Cave that has zero a fresh haircut vibe in it. read more

Man cave is the kind of place to get a haircut if you don't want to overpay but get a great haircut in a comfortable atmosphere catering to the guys, as you might have guessed from the name. Inside is full of memorabilia from the 80s forward and lots of attitude, but not bad attitude. I have never had a bad haircut here, and all of the people cutting here pay attention to what you ask them to do. One of my favorite features is when getting your hair washed, look up at the ceiling because it is covered with LP albums from the 70s and 80s, and looks a lot like the playlist on my Spotify - I'm Dad rock guilty. If you're tired of hair salons, come check out the Man Cave! read more

How do you mess up a buzz cut, David?? I asked to come back the following business day to get it fixed, literally a 30 second fix to cut off all the (many) stragglers that were missed. I was late but called in & was told that my remaining 20 minutes until the next appointment would not be enough time to fix what should have been done right the first time. My hair looks like I cut it read more

I'd love to go back but won't. Good haircut at a good price? Yes. Comfortable atmosphere? Yes. Purchasing experience? YIKES! The pay-point card reader is right next to the chair. After I inserted my credit card, the reader gave me a tip option of 30%, 50%, and 75%. What? Then I noticed the stylist standing next to me looking over my shoulder. I felt manipulated into giving a tip that was higher than I felt was appropriate. Very uncomfortable. Yes, I was ready to make the Man Cave my regular six-week visit. But the lingering bad taste in my mouth makes that impossible. The search continues... read more

Went in with my son with little expectation and no appointment on a Sunday. I was happily surprised. The inside is great and clean. The barbers are professional and efficient. We had to wait under 30min on a busy Sunday. I showed a picture of what we wanted and both my son and I loved our haircut and the price was fantastic. I have been to many other places that charge more and I and I wasn't happy. This place is great and easy to recommend. read more

This was my second haircut here and I am just blown away by the total professionalism. Yes, the place screams Man Cave and the waiting area has these really comfortable leather chairs & a couch. The head massage with the wintergreen & spearmint conditioner was incredible! The best part is that it's way cheaper than anything you will find in the city. Jen was a real professional! Thank you! read more

First time Man Cave customer. My brother Scott took me in to see Channel. I have short hair that grows different directions. Couldn't be more happy with the cut by Channel, from the meet and greet to the thank you for coming in. Just up set they are located so far away residing in OC. Thanks, Todd read more

Ah the misogynists are going to love this place... First, get an appointment - no walk ins... Second, the place is owned by a woman (the lovely Jan, who for some reason answers to 'Frisky') so ladies don't go flaming me over the decor etc. As hair style places go, this one is brilliant - wish I'd thought it up myself. Walk in and it screams 'Man Cave' - everything from wheels and tires to album covers and beer coasters on the ceiling (yes, you read that right). Leather couches and there's coffee etc while you wait (and for the little men I noticed a toy box with at LEAST one dump truck). The woman who work here are ... colorful. If you bring your youngster I'm assured that they "PG it" for the younger crowd, but if it's an adult crowd the conversation can get ... colorful, if you get my drift. We're talking beautiful women with trucker mouths. Heaven for guys, get it? Bottom line, I got my hair washed TWICE!! Mmmmm...head massage. For under $20 out the door. Go here (make an appointment). Say 'hi' to Frisky for me. =;^) read more

I have been going here for years. Love Jan and all the ladies. I no longer go here. Jan's fuck you attitude has progressed from cute to really off putting, rude, and at times just down right mean. What did it for me though was her total disrespect for the US Flag. This place is now dead to me. Try Don's if you need a cut. read more

I like this place. How could you not, there's a pool table in the center of it. My hair gets cut just how I like it and they take care of your neck with a straight razor. Everyone there is personable, even to a Patriots fan such as myself. Having them only 10 minutes from work makes it even better. read more

Worst hair cut I've ever had in my life. I can't remember the name of the girl who cut my hair (I want to say it was Sarah, but I can't recall other than I know st the time she was just barely getting back into cutting hair after a family hiatus), but I've quickly tried to forget her and the experience. Not only was the haircut abysmal, the stylist shredded the back of my neck to pieces with her horrible straight razor skills. I literally had to take the day off work because there was no way I could go into work with that bright razer burn and those cuts and scratches on the back of my neck. I generally go to E-Z Chair Barbershop on Bellevue and also receive a straight razor cut each time, and have no issues whatsoever. This place sucks. read more

Worst haircut ever..she was so rushed didn't wet my hair didn't even brush hair off me. Had to do it myself.

They fit us in at the end of the day and cut my sons hair. Kayleigh did such a good job my 16 year old said he would go back here instead of his regular guy. So thank you man cave you rock! read more

The place is really nice and definitely a guy's place... but the haircuts from anyone but the owner are hit or miss - and for me, mostly a miss. Twice they missed a few hairs around my ears and once I had to go back and have the owner finish it because so much was missed the first time. If you can get a haircut from the owner (can't remember her name), you're lucky and you'll get a good haircut; otherwise, enjoy a game of pool, check out the album covers on the ceiling and hope for a good haircut. read more

Great shop at a great price. My only downside is not all services are available all the time.

I wrote most of what I'd say on my check-in. However I'll say it again here (or at least try), I found this diamond in the ruff a couple months ago (after living in Monroe for a couple of years). I've always gone to the Navy base in either Everett or Marysville before. On a Friday the day before drill (I'm in the National Guard) in a pickle needing a haircut, I found Man Cave. Stylist Kayleigh took me right in, and gave me an excellent haircut. I've gone here ever since. And as much as I can help it I won't go anywhere or to anyone else. We had good conversation while she was cutting my hair. I'm a talker so that was great (there's nothing worse than getting a haircut in complete silence). Overall a very good experience and she gained a customer. They head washing was great so I didn't walk out with a itchy head. I highly recommend Man Cave and/or Kayleigh. read more

I'm attempting to grow my hair out to the point of being able to pull my bangs back into a pony tail. We got my son's haircut here the other day and Jen did a fabulous job! I've got a one year old who is not a big fan of getting his haircut, he's very squirmy and screamed the whole time. Jen handled him with patience and did such a great job on the haircut. Would highly recommend! read more

Absolutely the worst haircut ever. I said no buzz cut and I got exactly that. Never again.

I tried for the 4th time to get a cut there and they were too boomed up with there two current customers. They were rude and unpleasant oh well attitude was disappointing. They are knocking off the sportsclip model but don't have any TVs with sports on them. read more

I won't be returning here. Walked in and nobody else was in there but I was told it would be over an hour because some other walk-ins that went to the restaurant next would be coming back and that they would be before me. Really? It takes 10 minutes to cut my hair, so I went elsewhere. read more
