If you're looking for fun sassy style even with a tint of color this is your place to go. If you blink you might miss it as you drive by. It's off of woods Creek road just before the Safeway entrance.

first of all i gotta say as a transwoman i have had issues finding respectful talented…read morehairdressers.... always one or the other but never both my first visit was a perfect storm of factors. first of all i called only two days in advance explained what i wanted over the phone.... badly i might add but sandy took her time with me had the patience to explain everything that would be needed to set up the appt... hair thickness, colour, time, cost etc anywho, i show up at the appointed time without a picture of what i wanted but a clear idea (i wanted to lose some length and color) and she stood for at least 20 mins explaining how my face would be framed by cut and layers until we both agreed on a long bob with face framing layers and layers in the back for curl in a deep (what i called chestnut) brown now i may add that i have the goddern thickest hair for a mile (so thick in fact it takes 3 1/2 tubes of color to saturate my hair i later find out) ok so hair is colored, washed and ready to be cut im SO anxious im barely speaking outside of idle chit chat the scissors come out and what feels like moments later im cut and ready for the post cut style i ask for it to be flat ironed because im pickyish (and want to examine the finished length before i leave) its perfect. PERFECT 3 3/4 hours later im done with whole shebang and am home having just examined all the spots in the mirror other hairdressers miss with the color and its freaking almighty divinely done. 6 out of 5 -Would Recommend (and have already)

The bad - this is in the sketchy part of Monroe (East Monroe) near Coastal (the one saving grace of the strip mall). It's off in a corner, but there's tons of parking. I booked an appointment, showed up early, and there was beaucoup parking despite all of the Dollar Store traffic (remember the sketchy part). Got in, the previous client was just finishing up. Surprising how large the place is (I think they have ten chairs). It goes back 100 feet from the entrance, much larger than you'd think. Alison asked me to wait a minute while she swept up the previous client's DNA, then she called me back. I showed her a picture of what I had in mind, and she set right to work. Yes, I was in and out in about twenty minutes, which was quick, but the quality of the haircut did not suffer. It just reflects that this stylist has been at it long enough that she knows her way around a head of hair. Yes, I paid a small fortune for the privilege, but if you can get out of a stylist with a good looking hair cut for under $40, make sure to post the details here for the rest of us who are cheap. No arguments this was a great haircut for a decent price. Again, surprised by the one stars, maybe that person's gone or maybe these reviewers are from California, no idea. Don't care, I'll go back.
