I waited a minute and when she didn't take a sandwich out of the toaster oven, I asked if she was out of that one. She looked around like she was lost and said, "Oh, no. I can get that for you." She finished the drink order for the customer she rang up as I walked in and went over to drawers that have sandwiches in them. She hadn't even started my sandwich. While I waited for her to prepare it, I looked at my latte. I ordered it with no foam and warm temperature. It was blazing hot and had at least an inch of foam on top. When she finally finished heating the sandwich, I pointed out the foam. (If foam didn't make me want to gag, I would have just left without saying anything.) She said, "Oh. It wasn't there when I made it. I can take it off." I explained that foam can't appear after a latte is made and said, "Never mind." I wasn't sure she knew how to make a latte with no foam and didn't have time to find out. When I got to the car, my husband had already texted and asked what the hold up was because we were running late by this point. I opened the sandwich only to find that half of the cheese was on the wrapper, not the sandwich. While I gave a low rating, these mess-ups are just a training issue, and my hope is that with more or better training, this location will improve and have happy customers for years to come.

Biggby is alright coffee but this place focuses more on their non-coffee drinks. If you want a good latte go to Starbucks but if you want a marshmallow, pineapple, peanut butter, spiced smoothie this place is your hangout. However the manager, who I think is also the owner is a bit creepy and rude. When I was in there he was hitting on girl customers and didn't seem to treat his employees (who also seemed to be mostly girls, coincident?) that well. Since it has had new ownership, the service and quality has vastly improved and I love visiting there. Always friendly staff, great coffee- just awesome. When I opened the bag I could tell right away it was too fine. I attempted to pull a shot, but got nothing. It was most definitely Turkish grind. Since I could do nothing with the bag, I went back to explain this was ground too fine. The same individual was there and reacted with condensation, saying this is indeed espresso grind, which is basically Turkish, and he doesn't know what kind of maker I have so he cannot dial it in. I said I have never had this problem in the years I have done this at other shops. He acted like he could do nothing for me, so when I pressed that I can do nothing with these beans I spent money on, he got on the phone. At one point I heard him say, "Yes, I tried to explain that to her." As if I didn't know what I was talking about. I was finally given the option to get a bag of beans without having them ground, which is all I really wanted. I can grind the beans in my own grinder at home. I went down the street and bought a bag of beans there. I asked for espresso grind and mentioned that the last place gave me Turkish. She had to look up the appropriate setting, but she got it perfect. When I got home and opened the bag of beans from Black Iron, the beans were oily and smelled burnt. My coffee tasted that way, too. I was rather shocked because the latter I had ordered with my purchase was not bad. I had to use them up slowly by masking the bad taste with my go-to beans.
