Stopped in for my morning coffee and got a massive cup. Drip coffee is self-serve, which was great. After paying, fill up my cup, add some creamer and I'm on the way. I liked that they have a variety of flavors and roast styles. There are tables inside and I saw at least one pair of people having a meeting this morning. This morning at or about six fifteen , six thirty I stopped at Biggby at 5401 Portage rd kalamazoo mi as I always did for months and was so rudely treated by the young girl at the window. Took so long the get my 1 drink. Mind you there was only 1 car ahead of me and no one in store as far as a customer . I counted 5 employees when I pulled up to the window. They were all just talking instead of taking my payment first and the getting the drink out the window. I asked the girl at the window what was taking so long to get a drink and she was instantly ticked off. She snapped at me and said "EXCUSE ME " as she glared at me . Finally gave me my drink and asked if I wanted a straw and I said "yes please"! Then she proceeded to slap the straw into the palm of my hand .And they wonder why they dont get tips . I will never go to this said location again. I will back track in the morning where they have better customer service. Used to be friendly but this store has gone to the dogs. If your not a morning person or don't like you job , then stay your butt home or find a diff job ! This is disgusting !!!! read more

Has gone way down hill over the years. Every time the coffee is Luke warm and watered down. Also it seems impossible to get a light, or even standard amount of cream. Any mention of cream whatsoever and you get a cup of milk with a splash of coffee. It's a bummer I used to enjoy biggby. read more

This used to be the best BIGGBY around but the last few times they can't seem to get any order right. After 20 minutes there I finally got my bragel sandwich and creme freeze but my "Red Bull creme freeze with pomegranate syrup" is obviously not right even after questioning it multiple times. Not the greatest service from a cashier but the baristas made the drinks as I have requested. The area is pretty small and chairs aren't comfortable. It's alright, I'll manage. I wished their waiting area is a bit more spacious since only four ppl can wait in line and the fifth person is right at the door. They should probably switch some furnitures around at the front. Overall, the store is pretty neat and clean. They should work on giving better customer service :) read more

Someone told me, "You have to go to Biggby Coffee when you visit Michigan." By the enthusiasm with which they recommended it, I thought it was a small business with maybe a location or two. They are actually a franchise chain and have a location up in Arlington Heights, IL. We stopped at this location in Portage and were welcomed by the baristas. They were very friendly and made a few suggestions since we had never been here before. I went with the frozen Cinnamon Spice Tea Latte. I was expecting something similar to a Chai Tea Latte. It was decent, but it didn't blow me away. The cinnamon is a bit too strong and overpowers the drink. They also make their beverages with an artificial sweetener (according to a billboard we saw later on), so that could account for the strange aftertaste. They aren't bad. They are kind of like a Dunkin' Donuts, but with a slightly more neighborhood, good-vibes kind of feel. I wouldn't be opposed to stopping in for a quick coffee drink during a road trip, but I don't know if I'll be rushing to the one near my home. read more

Biggby is a great alternative to Starbucks. The coffee is good with several brewed varieties from which to choose. They also offer some good coffee creations as well. The location of this store just south of I-94 off the Portage exit is quite convenient. Being situated at the end of a small strip plaza, parking is no problem. The seating area is decently spacious and comfortable and the facility is well kept. The service is also very good. If you are in the area, this is a great place to take a coffee break. read more

I'm not from MI, but on a road trip we got off on an exit to look for a DD's for a coffee. Instead, we found Biggby's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. From a previous reviewers recommendation, I ordered a frozen Teddy Bear and OMG.. It was one of the best frozen coffee drinks I've ever had (It's about 500 cals though.. Eek!) Perhaps similar to a Dunkin Donuts Cappuccino Blast but better. The coffee is also very good. I wish we had Biggby's in IL! Also, the baristas were really sweet. Definitely try this place! read more

I will always and forever be a fan of Biggby! Any location I go to is great because I can always count on them! The Mocha Caramel is my go to, hot, over ice or frozen... it's simply the most tasty thing I've ever had ! I do enjoy the occasional smoothie, hot cocoa and Red Bull cream freeze! Mmmm They also have some tasty treats like donut holes, bagels, bragels (breakfast sandwiches) cookies and muffins! Try the blueberry muffin or the Asiago Bagel! You won't be let down! Sometimes when I want to get away and relax, I just sit and sip my coffee and surf the net or enjoy people watching ! If you haven't tried Biggby, you don't know what you are missing ! the food was good. But when I asked for my latte to have lavender, they politely told me it was no longer being sold. No biggie. but when I got my drink, the girl working this morning told me they found some in the back and put it in the drink. This is one of my favorite Biggby locations. Although they are a franchise I often see subtle differences in these stores depending upon the owner. This particular spot has a drive through that is easily accessible and usually does not have a very long line. If there are a couple of cars ahead of you line usually moves very quickly. The location also works well due to the easy access on and off of I-94. There are lots of choices when it comes to specialty coffees and drinks but if you just want to resort to a drip coffee the Breakfast Blend and Biggby's Best have a consistent and predictable flavor. My roommate and I came in this morning (7/23/19) and each ordered an iced coffee. It took over twenty minutes to get our coffees, and when we did receive them, they were BOTH WRONG. The person in front of us ordered SIXTEEN drinks, there was no communication between baristas (drinks were made twice), and five people who had ordered after us were served before us. When we inquired about our drinks, the taller male barista made an angry face and said he "made them forever ago" (he had not). I'll be contacting Biggby corporate. This was not okay. Very poor service (Side note: large orders should be required to be placed ahead). 1 star (because it's required). Would give negative stars if possible. Very disappointed. read more

I'm in town from Sacramento and had to get my morning latte. The front desk clerk told me this is the only place he goes. So I made it successfully despite road work season and DELICIOUS. Not only is the customer service horrible through the drive through but I tried calling to get the phone number of the franchise owner to tell her about my experience twice in a row and whoever answered the phone said she doesn't talk to customers because she's in Mexico and hung up on me! We drove a lot further off the highway then we head initially intended to do. However we were looking for a good cup of coffee and knew that Biggby would take care of us. This time I treated myself to a banana strawberry smoothie. It was very good and refreshing on this hot day. Any time we are in the area we will track this biggby down again read more
