It looks like they may have some outdoor seating in the back for warmer months. The free wifi was fast and helped me get a lot of work done while I was there. The sandwich was only about $6, so a great deal. The wifi was fast and I was able to get quite a bit of work done. I loved that it came with salsa and sour cream. I definitely could have saved half for later, but it was so good that I smashed the whole thing. The seating wasn't super comfortable, but I was able to hang out for about an hour or so, reading and having a nice warm meal. I'm a new employee at Central Michigan University and will be working in the Health Professions…read more(HP) building. When I walked in for my first day, I thought to myself, "there's a coffee shop in this building." It was kind of like that Kristen Bell video where she's talking about how she can always sense if a sloth is around. It didn't even really smell a lot like coffee in the building, but I could just feel it. After checking in for work I had a bit of a break, so I went to the first floor and wandered until I found Ponder Coffee! It's not just a coffee counter, it's a whole coffee shop/cafe with FOOD. I like coffee, but I LOVE food. I was so excited that they had breakfast sandwiches (one of my favorite foods) as well as toast, waffles, lunch sandwiches, even a small deli case. I ordered an oat latte and a breakfast sandwich with avocado, egg, tomato, and cheese. There's a bit of seating and a really cool mural so I hung out until my order was ready. Pricing is super awesome (sandwich was $5.50 and my latte was $5.25) and my order was quick. The employees were hustling even though they had been super busy. There are multiple curved booths with soft cushioning that feel like something out of a classic movie. Multiple portraits of old time stars on the wall complete the theme. We started with around of their bread and a bowl of lobster bisque. I was very pleased at the generous helping of lobster made in the bowl, and they expert preparation of the soup. Duck can be very tricky to prepare, and this cut was well done without being overcooked or overseasened. The fingerling potatoes were also perfectly finished. I finished with a crème brûlée which was perfect with a nice light sugar crust on top that wasn't over prepared. The drink menu is extensive and whoever's preparing the drinks knows what they're doing. I would definitely come back!

I had just finished dinner next door at the Wood Shop Social and wanted a sweet treat to take back to my hotel room, so I stopped in to check out Cinnabon. I was greeted when I walked in but the employee was busy frosting some cinnamon rolls--totally fine because I wanted to check out my options as I hadn't been to a Cinnabon in years. They have big cinnamon rolls, little ones, something called "center of the roll", and topped rolls. I just got one "MiniBon" which looks like a normal cinnamon roll to me but is smaller than their regular size! The MiniBon was packaged in a box and I grabbed a fork. Luckily my hotel room had a microwave so I was able to warm it up--definitely recommend!

They have some pretty nice daily specials and didn't have to wait long for my sandwich. I tried the "Fiery Turkeyinator" which was the special of the day which came broccoli cheddar soup and a fountain drink. It was assembled with care and the portions are decent, good enough for sharing. Thanks for a great visit!
