As a fan of Biggby I would not recommend this location. Service was rude and slow, and I received the wrong order.

Super friendly and fast service. And did I mention, good cold brew coffee with multiple flavor options.

I love coffee shops, so I always get excited when I can try a new to me spot, like The Borough. I…read moredon't get to Allendale very often (maybe twice a year) so when I was heading to Grand Valley's campus for an event recently, I made sure to allow extra time to stop by. The parking lot in front is pretty small, and there is only one access point, so if you go past it, you'll have to turn around near the apartments behind it. Don't drive on the sidewalk... I didn't, mostly because there is a sign that says, "This is a sidewalk" which made me laugh. (Truly that should be an entrance into the parking lot!) The space is very bright and airy with cute decor and space to get some work or studying done. I was greeted right away when I walked in and I had a tough time deciding what to order. I wasn't hungry, but I love that they have a full on food menu - including salads, burgers(!!!), bagels, toasts, paninis, pastries, etc. Plus all the regular coffee items, boba, smoothies, and teas. I went with one of the seasonal specials, the banana bread matcha. It didn't take too long to come out and it was very tasty - not really what I was expecting, but I liked it. It reminded me of a very green banana (which is how I prefer bananas), it wasn't super sweet but also not super matcha-y. They are expanding their space, so I am interested in coming back to see what that looks like and to order more delicious drinks and try the food!

I love the healthier food options they have, but you never have to twist my arm for their panini and tater tots as well! They always have fun specials for drinks and the staff have great recommendations. Go check out this great woman-owned spot!

I go to this Meijer all the time and finally stopped for a coffee here. The menu is pretty generous, most anything you'd find at any big name coffee shop. Lots of syrup options for lattes or teas, and various smoothies and milk shakes on the menu. Looked like they offer some specials too as well as a small food menu. They have a small but fairly cozy seating area- nice for enjoying a speciality beverage while someone shops! I just got a coffee with pumpkin syrup in it, nothing fancy. But it was tasty and fresh! I'd definitely try this cute shop again.

This recently opened coffee shop replaced the Starbucks that used to be inside the Meijer store in…read moreGrandville, MI. It's a lot less polished than Starbucks and pretty bare-bones. The tables look like they came out of an old diner and the chairs are what you would expect to find in a bingo hall or American Legion. None of the furniture looks new and some of it looks pretty beat up. The coffee itself tasted pretty good but they don't have anywhere near the selection of ingredients and variations that Starbucks had. I don't order extravagant coffee drinks so I suppose that doesn't bother me too much personally. But if you're the type that orders coffee with a bunch of complicated ingredients and flavors and such then you're going to be disappointed. My wife, for example, can only drink decaf coffee and they don't offer that at all (which just seems stupid for a coffee shop). Honestly, I'm getting a little tired of the Starbucks coffee monopoly and all the excessive and ridiculous coffee customizations they offer, but if you're going to replace Starbucks in a locale that gets thousands of shoppers each day you really should bring your A-game and shoot to fill those big shoes. This is more like the coffee shop you would expect to find in a community college student lounge. The bottom line: if you are just looking for a quick basic coffee fix while you shop this will probably be adequate (unless you want something complicated or decaffeinated). Just don't get your hopes up too high.

It's nice to have this kind of cafe near the Grand Valley State University Campus! Perfect vibe and…read moreambience for college students. The interior is super cute and a great hang out place for students/young adults. I love that they have different sections in the cafe; they have some high top tables and low top tables; they even have a section where you can eat and also play games, which I thought was cute. They have some board games (not many but around 5?) that you can play with you friends. Place is super clean. You can get noodle soup dishes, poke bowls, asian appetizers, boba, tea, and some other entrees here. So, for food... not so great. I'll have to come here again to try other things on their menu to give a more fair assessment, but I got the Popcorn Chicken Bentobox and found it really lacking. First off, it came out in a paper plate, not in a typical bento box! If you're going to list it as a bento box, then it'd better come out in a bento box. The Popcorn Chicken was good, but the pickled vegetables were quite dry. The 2 spring rolls tasted like ones I could have gotten frozen at Costco, and the rice was... fine. I know some people have raved about the ramen, so I'll try that next the next time I come here. So, for ambience and service, I'd give it 5/5 stars, but for food... 3/5. I'll come back here to try some more food and give further updates.

Ingredients were simple but good amount of everything. The egg was soft on the inside. Some of the pork pieces were a little dry, but for the most part were great. I'd definitely order the spicy miso soup again. Matcha boba was also very delicious. Will definitely try Tea Time Cafe again, especially want to try a poke bowl.
