BIGFACE is tucked away in the Design District in Miami and has some great specialty coffee and matcha drinks. I FINALLY got to visit BIGFACE after it being on my list for the longest! If you're a Jimmy Butler fan, you know this brand and spot. I tried his coffee long, long ago when he used to just have a pop up from time to time in this area and now his permanent location is just a few steps away from where I tried it for the first time. I can't really have caffeine anymore so I opted for the matcha with the cream foam that I've heard a lot about. The line was pretty long on a busy day but it moved fast. The service was super friendly and I met a fellow Mia :) She was awesome and gave some great recs. The drinks were pretty good, the other drink we ordered was the hojicha miso caramel latte, which was pretty sweet according to my friends. I was also intrigued by the black sesame latte, which was on the rotating menu along with the hojicha. The inside was super cute with a good amount of seating in case you wanted to enjoy your drink there. They also had really nice branded shirts, hats and more, in case you wanted to buy them. Overall, a great spot and location. Not my fav matcha but still pretty good! Definitely will be back if I'm in the area and want to try other drinks! read more

So perhaps, I am not meant to be a Miami on a random Friday morning girl because the Midwest girl in me cannot fathom the confusing behavior of this shop. Bigface is absolutely stunning and wow is this cafe COOL. This is one of those cool Y2K inspired futuristic cafes. This is where you go dressed up like some absolute cool icon. This was my first stop on my Miami trip. A gorgeous cafe I had saved on Instagram. I arrive at this cafe with about three people in front of me. They were a group of guys who were friends. They ordered and I stared at the menu not sure what was the right choice. Would it be safe to grab a matcha or should I do a latte? The drinks here are not cheap and frankly aren't made with enough effort to be that price. I've had cheaper coffee and matcha at other cafes in Miami and definitely way cheaper in both Tampa/St. Pete and Orlando. Cafes are my thing. This one was pricey for what they gave me. When it comes to the staff, this is the hit or miss. The red haired woman manning the register was rude enough that I believe she warrants a warning for future customers of the shop. The problem is she is very nice until one thing annoys her. In my case, I was just asking about the syrups. I was the only person in the cafe who hadn't ordered and wasn't sitting down. She was pleasant when I arrived and I noticed she made it a point to compliment everyone as they first stepped up to order. The cafe has a friendly atmosphere all the baristas are chatty and create a lively mood there. Remember how I said I was the only one there? She made me get out of line and to look at the menu before coming up again next time. There was no line. I was the line. I explained to her that I looked but I was just needing clarification. Didn't matter her smile and bubbly attitude was completely gone with me from that moment on until I left the shop. Apparently the syrup question was that offensive. I get back in line (I cannot stress this enough there was NO ONE there. I was the line) and ask her frankly about her coffees as well as the matcha. I was planning on trying the matcha and since my original plan was spending a decent amount of time in this shop, I was gonna also get a coffee later on. I simply asked her if she recommends any of the coffees as I was paying for my matcha. Her response "well people get coffee here." I sure hope they do for a specialty coffee shop. I tell her in a oh well kind of manner, "I was just trying to get your recommendation on one of your coffees if you don't have one, that's fine." I won't lie, it's a red flag to me when a barista won't recommend a single thing on their menu. Not even what's a popular menu item. Her response was "Well people drink lots of stuff here." The menu is not huge but that sealed the deal for me. What I thought was a weird and one off interaction didn't end there and would follow me until the end of my time at the cafe. The rest of the baristas were so friendly even when I asked for more sweetener. They really created this upbeat attitude. I sit down in the stair like seating area of the store and just enjoy the views. The matcha was 9 almost 10 dollars with tax. It tasted like Jade Leaf Matcha I could buy from Target or Amazon for the same price and make about 10 matcha drinks with. I still drank it but considering it also was batched (you can see the squeezable bottle that they squeeze it out from) and you can get higher quality for less even in Miami. I do have to ding on that. From there my friend joins me, and at one point we are by the mirrors and far away from the closet. The barista from earlier, the one I thought was a one off situation and just weird but that's it. Suddenly, she's off the register and needs us to move so she can get to the closet. My friend and I completely only to realize the closet was more than three feet away from us where we were standing even with the door opened. We weren't even in the way. How do I know this? My friend goes back to where she was standing (she was closer to the closet) and it was fine and on her way out, she didn't need us to move. She didn't even grab anything either. It wasn't an "excuse me, just wanted to give you a heads up". It was an "hey, I need you guys to move so I can get to the closet". Genuinely, I would love to come back here again and try their coffee but that one experience with just the one barista, makes me hesitant to even recommend it. I think if I am in Miami again, I would go but I would definitely leave if I see her again. It's a shame because the five other baristas working while I was there were so nice and constantly making you feel welcomed in. Just not her. read more

One of the best coffee spots I've been to! We were exploring the Design District in Miami when a minimalist but beautiful coffee shop caught our eye. We were intrigued by the options on the menu, and so we paid a visit and got the Hojicha Miso Latte with a guava cream danish. I was skeptical when places try to fuse asian flavors into coffee (especially with the $9 price tag), but it turned out really well! The Hojicha and Miso blended excellently into a smoky but sweet aftertaste. I really loved the vibe of the cafe. It was very spacious, yet there were plenty of people there either working, hanging out with their loved out, or there to browse the drinks and clothes (yes, they sell clothes there as well). While I don't like the high price tag for their drinks and food, I can see myself coming back here to work or socialize. read more

I'm not really a coffee person, but I was enchanted by BIGFACE's unique drink options. When looking from the outside I see that they had a Gochujang Chai drink so I stepped into the store. That was the drink I wanted to order but unfortunately they were out of it that day. Thankfully I got their Hojicha Miso Latte with a guava cream danish. They both were delicious. The combination was actually heavenly! The smokiness for Hojicha and Miso together pairs well! The danish was sweet yet not too overwhelming. Weird to me that people hate on matcha for tasting....like matcha. Anyway, I do consider myself to be a *bit* of a matcha connoisseur, mostly from matcha I've had in NYC before more places started offering it in Miami. I went in on Friday morning and no line but there was a group of five in front of me ordering and I thought it would take a while to get my matcha but was pleasantly surprised at how quickly they were able to get the drinks made. I opted for an oat milk strawberry matcha. Are they using a homemade strawberry mix? Probably not but it added a nice sweetness to the matcha that still let the matcha flavor shine through. It's a spacious and modern coffee shop that sells a lot of merch, a good number of drinks, and pastries by local shop - Caracas Bakery. I ordered an iced latte and pain au chocolat. The coffee was pretty good, a little bit on the milky side but decent espresso. It was a bit overpriced at $8 (not including tax or tip). This place was so fun to visit! Located right in the design district, it's a must-stop for all basketball and Miami fans! The decor is awesome! They have merch and coffee available for purchase. Albeit the line was long, once you actually order, they are swift with making the coffee. I had the iced Ube latte (seasonal item) and a cinnamon roll. Jimmy Butler's coffee shop in design district is a must stop. This hole in the wall offers great coffee amazing pastries and a cute limited selection of merchandise. The branding here is incredible and the coffee is also insane. There's limited seating so this isn't a working cafe but it is right next to Andrew so it's a great walking stop. I did notice they had a $100 BIGFACE flight but didn't try that! The black sesame one was maybe a little better and definitely unique so I gave it an extra star for just that. Stopped in to ease the pain of having to get my car fixed. Have seen the brand on instagram a bit and figured why not. I love the space it's very modern and sharp. They have premade coffee cans for convenience, which is nice. They have a digital menu board with a great size menu straight to the point. I got their Matcha added lavender in cold foam. It was so good refreshing. I'm not too picky with my Matcha so it hit the spot for me. The girls at the counter were super friendly super quick even on a busy day I would 100% go back. Jimmy Butler needs to come back from Golden State and do some quality control. In the Design District, BigFace is a super cool coffee shop. I can't deny that the vibe is creative and fun, but it's definitely catered to tourists; not a time where you can sit for a while to work or study. The barista recommended the coconut cloud latte, which was almost $11 and tasted like coconut water with foam on top; pretty unpleasant to say the least. I guess when you're in the design district, flanked by LV, Gucci, Tesla, and Prada, you gotta just pay up, so they don't catch on to how broke you really are. read more

I was so excited to try BigFace! The stores concept is super cool, it has a modern and futuristic vibe. I tried the iced vanilla latte and it was very good. My husband had a juice which was also delicious. The total came up to $19 before tip - very overpriced as expected. Despite the nice concept and good coffee, I don't think I would go back since the atmosphere is not very cozy and that's usually what I look for in a coffee shop - but that's personal! There's an obvious allure about Bigface Coffee (and its name rhymes with Pimmy Tutler). That's what initially got me in the door too, but once I was in I knew that this coffee shop wasn't all just talk. The design and aesthetic is cool and unique, and this includes the seating area in the back too. The baristas were friendly and went through the kinda long line rather quickly. The coffee didn't take too long to come out, but even so, Bigface has some cool merch, coffee accessories, and canned items to check out while you wait. On top of this, the menu has some pretty unique offerings (like their ube latte), and they do it all well. Overall, I think what Bigface adds to the Miami Design District isn't just a cool coffee shop with an NBA star's name behind it (although it is that), it also offers great coffee too. read more

Genuinely impressed by this new coffee place! At a glance it seems like a bougie, overpriced coffee spot with 3 things on the menu but every part of the experience is great. Friendly enough service and quick too. I love the open concept layout and the unique menu. Cool that you can get a coffee flight and the seasonal menu items. Cant lie Jimmy i know you wanna leave miami cause of pat riley but please dont take bigface from us. Coffee was excellent. Probably one of the best coffees I had. The price is very much high for what you getting but honestly it's justified and more so considering where the shop is located and just how beautifully designed it is. Definitely an experience everyone should come to try especially the coffee. The ambiance and the coffee really fits the unique style and atmosphere that jimmy has brought to the coffee scene. The ube latte with oatmilk cost like $8-$10 and the matcha latter with ube was also $8-$10. Its definitely pricier compared to your normal coffee shop prices but I think its worth it read more

The interior is pretty cool but the seating areas are kinda limited. One those all style no substance type of spots. Overall, it's an eh for me.
