I stop in and, well, they had both, but essentially all of their veggies and fruit had turned or were at least a bit brown. Completely turned me off and I did not buy anything there. Also, both times I've been, the shelves are half empty. Maybe the store is too big? But it just looks..half done? It looked like this when I went last year and figured, "Okay, they just opened recently. Maybe it will take a little more time to stock up." But it looked identical the other day. Unfortunately with the produce looking as it did, I am now kind of turned off to going back there for any other items, either.

Unfortunately, my experience with the meat department overshadows any positive experience. To be intentionally ignored and have the employee point to whom they want to help was very disheartening. If that had only happened once then I wouldn't take the time to write this review. This has happened on several occasions and I will no longer return and subject myself to this unbelievably poor treatment. To the one or two employees that have been apologetic, thank you and I'm sorry you have to work with such horrible individuals.

I walked in and was immediately impressed with smell and looked around and noticed what exactly I walked into. I had to come back after my meeting and try a sausage breakfast sandwich and that was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The staff is really kind and they make (so far) the best breakfast sandwich in Middletown. Instead of dry goods boxes along the first aisle, you walk in to find a cold case after the door full of veggies and bagged salads. True to all Aldi's there's all the usuals and an Aldi Finds aisle including seasonal items. Occasionally you find kids shoes (since kids grow way too quick, perfect!) and decent cookware, making this a fun , well, find. Aldi itself deserves 2/5 stars for staffing, but the cashiers here were quick as always, and more pleasant than I'd be if I was the only one up front. This shiny new Aldi has it all, so bring your bags and a quarter, as always, and get your veggies first thing.

I've been meaning to go to this new location, even though it's probably the same distance to me as the West Hartford location. What immediately struck me, and what I loved about it is the ample parking which is in start contrast to the other location. This is in the old LA Fitness but it occupies just the small portion of it, but the parking lot is huge. Another huge difference, is how wide the aisles are in comparison to other Trader Joe locations which means for a busy Saturday morning, it didn't really feel like it. I didn't really interact with any staff while I was shopping, however, the young cashier who checked me out, was extremely kind and friendly, and as I complimented the new store, she was very grateful and excited. I am off on break this week and plan on returning on Monday morning to see how the crowds are then. I'm very excited to have this location as it's more comfortable and more convenient for me.

There was many new spring and Easter themed items that looked amazing. We had yummy samples! Each register was staffed and our crew members were so helpful. They asked if we found everything we looked for and said the items we got were great choices! We loved the honey with cinnamon and chocolate bunny bark we got! 5 stars! We'll be back!
