She lead me to where it should have been (but wasn't) so she asked another employee who said they do not carry it. I have been a loyal customer of Pat's for years...Love to cook. Their meat is exceptional. They have ingredients that many big box stores don't have, their bakery and pre-made food is exceptional and for a small store, I can get almost everything I need. And as a time saver... I get in and out in 30 minutes with a full carriage. There is never a long line as they have more cashiers than Stop and Shop. I used to go elsewhere and now won't go anywhere else. A couple of weeks ago I called Pat's IGA in Wolcott and spoke to a really nice lady, asking her if they double manufacturer's coupons. She said yes, but that some of the cashier's might not know how to do it. I should have got her name. I went in the store 2 weeks ago, and a big commotion was made by the cashier, then she paged the owner, and he said we will double this time but no more. 75 Cents!!!!! The previous owners were so kind and lovely people. Not the same owner's. Today I went in there with my Best Friend, and the same cashier saw me and left her station went and got this other mgr (i guess) and were talking about me right in front of me!!! LIke here she is with the coupons. Really? You have to go and tell someone I'm there and talk about me. I asked the cashier what the other cashiers name was and I was told "Kelly". Why are you targeting me over a coupon????? I see in the reviews that another person said the cashiers talk about things they shouldn't be talking about while you are cashing out. So I'm not the only one. Since when do we gossip about customers right in front of them. The worst part is when the store goes to cash in these coupons that don't say "Don't Double" I believe they get the doubled price back for the coupon. I don't appreciate being talked about!!!!!!! My family always gets catering from here. We always get compliments on the food. Always so tasty and the staff is so helpful in setting up and making sure you are ready for whatever event you are holding. PATS IGA is definitely a Wolcott gem. They also offer tasty deli sandwiches/ grinders. read more

This market is the best kept secret for Sandwiches, cakes, pies, cookies, muffins and scones. Actually anything made in store is always fresh. A bit pricier than the big supermarkets but it keeps the Waterbarburians from frequenting the store. read more

I actually don't shop anywhere else. The employees are so helpful and gracious. My bags are packed easily by the cashiers, making it effortless for me to carry them home. In addition to getting to genuinely have a valuable experience with many of the staff, it is well worth the few pennies I might save at a larger store. read more

Wow! What amazing customer service. I live on the west coast and needed to buy a gift card for a senior citizen who lives in your town. I called and Mike graciously said "no problem "... I am new to the area and just started shopping at this store. I had to deal with what I think was a manager a few nights ago and all I can say is he was so rude. The cashiers talk about things they should not be talking about while you are checking out. The place is over priced, many things are actually expired and still on the shelves, the produce is not worth the prices they are charging and how do you get by the health department with hand written labels on bakery items and no ingredients? Meats are terribly overpriced! And the store needs a deep cleaning. I will be driving into Waterbury to shop there instead. read more

I stop here often on my way home from work. The bakery department is A #1 -- a great selection of awesome pies & delicious cookies. Meat department has a nice selection of quality, tasty meat products. I usually go elsewhere for other items -- fruits, veggies, boxed items, etc. (although I often see ice cream on sale at this IGA). Pat's IGA is a bit pricey compared to the larger supermarkets, but well worth the stop for quality meat products & baked goods. read more

They have more items than most stores this size. The meats are great. The morning crew are very friendly and helpful. The store is clean and neat. The prices are comparable with other stores of this caliber. The flowers are always fresh. The bakery has a great selection. read more

This store has many options, including a ton of freshly made meals. Sometimes I stop in before work or after work for something to eat. You can get the most delicious salads or wraps, and you can also get items to heat up. The food tastes significantly better than the larger style groceries. Also the bakery has a very extensive selection!! Sometimes I can't help but get something sweet to have as a dessert. The only thing I would change are the hours, if they could open earlier so I could go in between 7 and 8a, I actually think there are a lot of people would could benefit from that on their way to work! read more

Hello, On Friday, April 2, 2021, after calling BOTH Highland Park Market in Farmington (where I live), and Avon Prime Meats (close to where I live) in an effort to place a catering order for today, Saturday, April 3, 2021, and being very disappointed by BOTH, I remembered that Pat's IGA offers catering. I also remembered having eaten catered food from Pat's on several past occassions at others' events, and even though Pat's is somewhat out of the way from where I live, I decided to call. It was THE BEST decision that I could have made!!!! First, I spoke with Megan, who was exceptionally knowledgeable, competent, and pleasant!!! It really struck me because it is so rare to find a person like Megan now. She answered all of my questions, and agreed to some special requests in altering recipes a bit (adding capers to the chicken francaise), and was both very patient and thorough. Today, I called once again and spoke to Megan in the morning just to confirm my order pick-up time, and because, quite honestly, I was somewhat skeptical that all would actually be correct, but yet AGAIN, in speaking with Megan, she assured me that all would definitely be ready for my pick-up later that morning. I sent my son to pick-up the order, and when he arrived back home with everything - it was exactly as it had been described. Furthermore, ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING was delicious, and my guestes raved about the food, and asked from where I had ordered it because they, too, wanted to order from Pat's for their next occasion. Sometimes we don't realize the impact we have on people, but I wanted you to realize the impact that Megan and the chef who prepared my order had on our guests and me. Thank you SO MUCH to all of you for making our event such a deliciously resounding success!!!! I will continue to spread the word about Pat's, and I will definitely order from Pat's again!!!
