    Shaggy roll

This is a cool little place. Serves food Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The food was great and plenty of options to choose from. We had the mushroom bombers (must try), the shaggy roll (got to meet shaggy!) And the fish and chips (wahoo fish, Ono). Everything was delicious! Definitely a place to try and we will be making this a regular stop in Kapa'a! The service was great, very friendly and enjoyable experience. We had Bloody Mary's and they were also great . They also have live music nights and karaoke available

Best bar in all of Kauai. Barbara is best bartender. What a fun local spot to grab a cold one and have great conversation with great people.

Dive bar. Good conversation with locals. You can watch sports. 3 big TV screens. $12 for half dozen oyster shooters.

Awesome dive bar. Can tell the locals come here but we felt welcomed. Burgers are very tasty and you can't miss with a mai tai here!

A hidden gem! Barbara was great and the food was on point! While the a.c. was out.... The drinks were cheap and service was friendly!

Honestly, the wait is usually a good sign there. Your order lineup hits a nice mix: * Mandu great choice for something shareable and comforting * Korean chicken if it tasted like an ajumma made it, that's basically the highest compliment * Beef sliders can't go wrong, especially when they're "ono" That mix of Korean flavors with a casual, almost random décor (yeah, "Mexican-ish" is oddly accurate for some island spots) is part of what makes places like that memorable--kind of a cultural mashup you only really find in Hawai'i. If you ever go back, people usually rave about their: * Garlic fries * Poke-style dishes * Local beer selection Kaua'i's north shore is full of low-key gems like that, but Taps and Hops is definitely one that sticks with you

When we sat down though the hostess was not quite the nicest, but still did her job (even if it took a while). When bringing out the food, almost the whole tables were warm, even if it was a $90 steak. I ordered the Duke's Cheeseburger and it was enjoyable. The manager was super nice, and after talking about this with him, he decided to help us out! The ambiance of the place was amazing, and loved the statues and mood the entire time.

We did the picture in front of the huge surfboard to start. We were seated with a view of the bay. Waitstaff was very nice. Keep in mind the front desk is on the opposite side of the restaurant as the bay. We started with ahi sashimi which has become standard at all the restaurants we eat at in Hawaii. LOL. My wife ordered the ahi tuna tacos. I ordered the coconut ginger braised seafood. It has multiple types of fresh fish of the day with lobster. The sauce is just perfect. Filling and flavorful. In the end they gave the hula pie for free for our anniversary. So kind! The twisted version was a mango sorbet. We missed the twisted version with the cookie dough. We ordered the original. Damn it was good. How can you go wrong with hot fudge and ice cream!
