Great place to get furniture!!! I find all kinds of things here at good prices. I've gotten desk, tables, mirrors and more. Most of the time the prices drop a little on the second day of the sale. I have some small things that I aways look for and find most of the time. There is really something for everyone!! The sales normally start around 8am or 9am on Fridays or Saturdays. Bring cash or check and maybe a truck because you just never know when your going to fall in love with something and you'll just have to have it! Last time I went I found a wicker chest for $10 and a beautiful small white quilt with hearts on it $4. Grab your favorite morning drink and enjoy finding something unexpected! read more

Steer clear of their estate sales unless you're okay with overpaying. I gave up most of the items I had picked out at checkout because you'd be better off paying retail for brand new. Their checkout process is also very inefficient. The staff couldn't price the items themselves and had to consult one person that gave the highest price he could come up with. read more

I really can't give this business another chance. - The prices are all the place while leaning towards the high side. - They are soooo unorganized. Half of the stuff isn't priced, most of their employees can't help with pricing, they open way after their advertised time. Stuff is just everywhere. - The checkout process is a joke- it takes soooo long. They also only take cash or check, like it's 1988. - If covid regulations are something you care about... avoid this place. Recommend you mystery shop this company and go to one of the estate sales they run before you hire them. We were creeped out by their staff, the bedding still on the deceased bed and the high percentage 50% that they quoted when I asked them about an estate sale estimate. read more

Don't bother going to their sales unless you like paying a top dollar for items. Their is little to no negotiation on prices. If something isn't marked you have to wait around for their "one guy" to come up with a price which you can bet will be at antique store level. read more

I have been to their sales several times over the last couple years and I leave irritated every time. They are the most unfriendly group. They ask wayyy to much for the items they sell I'm talking full retail maybe higher in some cases. You wait in the slowest lines and when you finally do get to the ladies with no people skills (especially the one with longer hair) you have to wait for Frank to look over your items and give them prices. But the pain isn't over yet noooo then you have to watch the lady write every item you purchased down and then and only then do you get to pay a ridiculous amount! Nope Never Again!! They are the worst!!! P.S. They advertise pics of stuff and when you get there Frank can't find the items...I've heard he puts stuff aside for "his people". Don't waste your time their are many great estate sale companies that will negotiate and are fair and friendly. Decided to try them again as they had some items we were interested in. Thought maybe it had gotten better but nope it's worse. Wanted to know a price on an item in the case and Cindy said she didn't know to ask Frank so we went inside and Frank was on the phone so we waited for 10 mins without even being acknowledged by Frank. We came back out told Cindy he was on the phone thinking she would help us with the price but she just shrugged, no apologies or nothing. We ended up leaving without a price for the item we wanted. I have gone to Big Valley sales for over a year and their sales are always clean and uncluttered (depending on the amount of room for the amount of items they are selling). The employees are friendly and helpful when you are looking for a specific item, they will let you know if it has already sold or the area of the property that it is located and they are very helpful carrying large items and they will also help you load your vehicle. I have never written comments on Yelp. However, after two bad encounters with Big Valley Estate Sales, I feel compelled to write. Most recently I drove 1-1/4 hours to shop at their sale. For more than two weeks they had pictures posted and items listed on their website which they were going to sell. I arrived early and was the 4th person in line to enter. I was interested in purchasing Cutco knives and block, Keurig coffee maker, blender, and several other kitchen items. I immediately went to the kitchen and none, again none of the items I was looking for were in the kitchen. When I asked about them, I was told that the family had taken them. I don't believe this because they could have taken them off the website list if this was true. My other bad encounter with them was some time ago. I had gone to a sale and found a Longaberger basket in the home. I took it to the cashier to ask how much and pay for it. The cashier grabbed it from me, put it under the table and told me she couldn't sell it to me. I just stood there in amazement. If she couldn't sell it, why was it in the house? I think they use high end items to entice people to attend their sales but remove them before the sale for special clients or sell them for more at other venues. Basically unethical. I will not be attending any of their sales in the future. They also have the highest prices of all the Estate dealers in the area. read more

The personal of big valley estate sales is not motivated to sell the items. The items are over priced. Prices are non negotiable. During their last estate sale, after three consecutive weekends, prices stayed still 50% of original tags which were above retail prices. The staff is rude, not familiar with the sale items, about consistent with the messages about the sale process. read more

I honestly do not understand how this business has been around as long as they have. I've been attending tag sales and auctions in Fresno and surrounding area for approximately 10 years now. This company without a doubt have the strangest, rudest, useless staff I've ever come across. I've always felt that if you ask them a question you have disturbed their privacy. That I could deal with if you were at least getting a decent price on the items they have. But, boy are you not! The prices are insanely over priced. Even on their so called discount days they are too high. Save your time and trouble and skip these guys. There are too many other places around with decent prices, and more important than that nice, helpful, staff that appear to be happy to be there. read more
