I'm really disappointed with Auctions R Us. I bought an air compressor that was listed as working, but it did not work at all. They ended up offering me store credit for the issue. At a later auction, I bid on and won another Kobalt air compressor, only to discover during pickup that it was actually the exact same broken compressor I had previously purchased. The original lot information was still underneath the new lot sticker. Even after acknowledging it was the same compressor, they still only offered store credit. Relisting a known non-working item without clearly disclosing it is extremely frustrating and feels dishonest. Haven't attended this auction house for years. So, imagine my surprise when I get a call out of the blue from them telling me to pay and pick up my items from their most recent sale. What?? I was never there! Apparently once they issue you a bid number its there for life. Somehow they must have given it to someone else or made a clerical error when recording it. I told them that I haven't been in attendance there for many years and was not planning on ever attending them again...they acted like I was lying. I told them to Delete my account!! I got some great deals. Happy with my purchases. The line is long and slow but..... you're getting great deals. Bring something to do. I waited a few hours and had arrived 5 minutes before they opened.. long line already. They do have a line for 5 items or less which is pretty convenient. I am guessing the people that left bad reviews probably didn't read the terms. Out of 27 items... I ended up with only 1 item that had something wrong with it. And it's only cosmetic. Place used to be good. They purposely sell things without their power cords or other functional items so folks can't test. Their policy changes frequently to exclude more and more items from being guaranteed. The long lines have always been an issue and one they have not tried to fix. I bought a sweet deal gift certificate worth $100. Gave it to employee to refund my account back in December 2022. He stapled it to my invoice I was picking up that day and to this day have never been refunded. First got a call from lady who was looking into it after many calls and e-mails. That was February. This auction house sold me piles of junk. Blink cameras that can't be linked up because of blinks rules. They are blocked once registered so when customers return them new buyers cannot use them without the prior owner going through and deregistering them. They claimed they never heard of that before but I find it hard to believe. Last time I purchased here they sold me $100's in Xmas lights and 1/3 were not even the lights in the box they were other items thrown in the wrong box. Basically not worth it considering everything I've bought here has been junk so far. First, READ the auction rules. They charge an 18% fee plus tax. Their hours are posted wrong on their website. They are rude, don't answer questions, or their phone, don't let you look at or test items you've purchased under $75.00. Only one person, the rude one speaks English, so expect no help. I spent $988.00 on 67 pieces of garbage, I got "lucky" the with 3 items that actually worked. Cords were not included with anything. Dirt in the vacuum, food in the pans, just garbage. When I got home the $175 plus 18% and tax was in pieces and broken. An extension cord had the plug cut off but it was taped over so you wouldn't see it. Another item I bought for my grandchild was supposed to be a box of hot wheels with tracks. There were no cars, a few pieces of track and a dirty sock. They didn't give me two of my items, but it's not worth the effort to try & get them because I know they're just trash & they'll be rude & wont bother to find them. Zero Star alert! Before entering auction they say everything is new or used. Let's be real....EVERYTHING we bought was used. Now, I like to shop at thrift shops and flea markets, I can deal with dust, dents and chipped paint etc.... This was not that! It was grotesque. I bought a juicer from them for $70, it was thrown in the box, no foam, cardboard, bubble wrap etc... and the worst part was it still had lots of food grime on it from whoever had used it before. I didn't even take the time to look and see if all the parts were there I was so grossed out. The girl at the desk pretty much said to bad, (in different words) and would not return it. Next my husband bought a pressure washer for $70 and the nozzle, handle, and the hose were all missing. He found 3 remotes in the box, as well. And I am positive a pressure washer is not controlled by remote. Other items *We had bought 6 night lights in a box with water damage. *a convection oven with no rack in it. They tried to make this right by bringing us another convection oven that was all dinged up. *a jump pack that didn't work when plugged in, so they brought us another dinged up one They also let customers smoke in the section where you plug in your stuff to make sure it works. And my foot got burnt by some trashy chicks cigarette ash (I mean REALLY trashy). The entire experience was beyond disappointing. And yes we got our money back after tirelessly haggling with these people. They refused and refused until my husband said he would be calling his credit card company. If they cared an ounce about their customers they would look in boxes and make sure products weren't overly damaged or beat up. As well, the girl at the counter wears a Cartier bracelet while ringing up your broken junk and rips you off. What does that say? People work hard for their money and it's wrong to be so deceiving. I see lots of people give one star because the merchandise is used. Hello? It's an AUCTION! Yes, they have some duds. And Yes, some of their merchandise is BRAND NEW. I have purchased around 50-60 items from this auction. I have been disappointed maybe 5 times. I have had to clean some stuff up. I usually pay the $22.50 to make sure stuff works and they have made good on their guarantee every time. The stuff comes from Amazon, Costco, Kohls...lots of stores with generous return policies. This business is horrible!!! ZERO Star is not enough. I spoke with Juan first, and he was too busy talking with customers to be bothered, so he asked if I could call back in 30 minutes. I did and when I spoke with him, I explained my issue. I did not place the bid! I'm told by them that if I don't pick it up, I'm out my money. I asked to speak with the manager, who I was told was really strict about refunds, gets on the phone and says his name is Curt. After I explained my issue, he was rude and told me I must had purchased it! UGH! Then has the audacity to tell me I was being recorded!!!! I never authorized that nor was I informed when I place the call!!! After I explicily explained he never had my authorization to record me and that I wanted his full name, and the owner of the business' name, he hung up on me!!!!!!! Wanted to give 0 stars but not Available. I've bought here in the past and have had some good and some bad items. I figured I'd give it a try again and bid on a pedestal fan. Got it for $15 plus the tax and handling charges. Total $17.50. Came home and opened it, the base was cracked and the main part that holds the motor was completely broken. No guarantee, that is totally not right to sell an item that's broken and not give me my money back. Purchased natural solar lights for my yard. Arrived home to set up the 3 boxes I purchased and not a single box could set up one setting. I called and was told if I did not check before I left, then I was out of luck so I lost my money. I have gone here a few times and have promoted them to others. I have had good deals/products in the past but last few purchases I have made have not worked. I made this purchase to see if I would continue but based on this I will not return. Here to edit my review after opening and checking out most of the products and so far so good on the baby products. However, upon opening the VR at home the charger is now missing even though it was there when we first checked. It is also missing the controller so how in the world does this still work!!! The 30 reimbursement on a $200 product THAT IS MISSING ALL OF ITS IMPORTANT PARTS AND I CAN'T EVEN CHARGE IT. This place is definitely not worth it!! Be aware and TRIPLE CHECK EVERYTHING. Also they were in such a rush to get us out that we were one item short and after all the back and forth we were a little down the road home when we realized we were missing an item. I seriously do not recommend going here and wish I could give them 0 stars. Lastly please please please watch when you're bidding on items. We were trying to get a mamaroo as a gift for a mom and found and won the item "4moms rockaroo $279 retail" that is not the retail price for the rockaroo it is the retail price for the MAMAROO a much nicer version that does various other things that the rockaroo does not. So we thought we were getting a great deal for a Mamaroo based on the price, but we were not and weren't aware of this until the receiver opened the gift, how embarrassing. I'm writing this review before I get home so I have yet to open and put together some of the baby stuff we purchased. However, we purchased about 14 items and aren't too thrilled after picking them up. Seeing as it is an online auction I think better photos should be taken of smaller/already opened items so the customer knows what they are purchasing. We bought a Dyson humidifier and after opening it before leaving we found it was broken. We also purchased Oculus VR googles once we opened them we found they had a dent, but we had no other choice but to take them because "they still work." The most disgusting was the two sets of airpods that clearly were not cleaned!!!! So much built up earwax it's sick. They did provide us a refund for the humidifier and after some arguing they gave us only $30 on the VR googles that we paid $200 for. Sadly it was my first auction and I learned my lesson. Anyways overall this place sucks. I'm just glad I was able to find some baby stuff for good prices. I bought six camera lenses from this auction house and paid a lot for several of them. They only provided one photo per lens and provided no condition information. Turns out that all six of the lenses are damaged to the point of being worthless. I buy hundreds of items on on-line auctions, to include many camera lenses and this is by far my worst experience. It is inexcusable to sell damaged goods without a mention if you are selling on-line where many of your buyers cannot inspect the items. BUYER BEWARE -- Avoid this auction house like the plague. They started out good but as They have grown they've gotten shady. If you place an online bid they will hike up your bid and give your item to someone that bid on something similar for twice as much. It happened to me twice bidding was closed online I was the highest bidder showed up at the auction watched no one else bid but it suddenly sold to an online bidder for more. They tried to tell me that the gentleman was there and must have bid but that was a lie I was standing right there!!! Most everything is broken and doesn't work make sure that you plug it in and try it before you take it home and if you want an item show up at the auction because they will sell your item to another online bidder you if you bid online. They sell amazon RETURN crates/palettes that anyone can get from sites like liquidation.com, which explains why 95% of their reviews are negative on both Yelp AND Google reviews. The items are either used, broken, damaged, or missing. They will hike your bid up to the highest bid without your consent/knowledge. Be careful buying items here. I bought an espresso maker for $55.00. I plugged it in at their warehouse and it turned on however when I got home I put water into it and the unit did not work properly. I called public auctions r us to talk with an associate who stated that once you leave it's a done deal ( which is on the receipt) however on the receipt it also states anything that plugs into the wall and more than $22.50 is guaranteed. I bought a 70" TV for $500 bucks. I know all sales are final but with covid noone is allowed inside to test electronics. I had to 1st find a power cord to turn tv on which I did. With the sunlight it was hard to tell exactly how the screen looked. TV did turn on and VIZIO came across the screen so all looked good. Got home hooked it all up and half the screen is half dark and other half is fine. Called no answer sent email no reply. Called a couple TV repair places and all said screen is no good tv is trash. I have bought other things from the auction with limited issues but the way covid has the world I wouldn't buy any electronics from them until you can check the properly.
