After hearing about this place on Instagram and seeing their photos, I couldn't wait to try my first birria taco! Hearing that they sell out in hours, I made the half hour trek and made sure to be there at least 45 minutes before opening. Located in a gas station parking lot, the food truck doesn't offer much parking in the surrounding area and the owner of the gas station had to come out several times to tell people they couldn't park there. There was already a line of people waiting, and we ended up waiting an hour in line just to place an order. We were then told it would be another hour to receive our food. It ended up being closer to 3 hours total and a quarter tank of gas sitting idle in our car with the air on because it was so hot outside. Trust me, I wanted to like these tacos SO badly, I drove so far and waited SO long. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The broth was extremely thin and flavorless despite the herbs and smell. It reminded me of what's leftover when you're done with your cup of noodles or cheap top ramen. It was so incredibly thin, it ran right off the taco and offered no accompanying flavor to the taco, only making it watery and soggy. My sister and I both noted that the taco was missing something, but we couldn't figure out what exactly. The meat was hot, but it lacked flavor. There was so much cheese and grease it was all you could taste. It completely drowned out the onion and cilantro and the entire lime was necessary to cut through the grease and cheese. Neither of us bothered to finish our orders. These tacos did not justify a 3 hour wait. They don't even justify a ten minute one. Please save yourself the misery. What a sad, sad day.

This is one of the best and ONLY taco trucks of its kind in the RDU area. They are located right behind the Bosphoros Restaurant in Cary. The staff are extremely kind and put a lot of effort to make sure that they consistently deliver the best quality food at an amazing price the food is delicious and mouth watering! You really just have to give them a try! Make sure u ask for their Quesabirra Tacos with Consome!!! The broth is full of flavor and tastes delicious! And the Quesabirra Tacos are cheesy and the meat is so juicy!! They are basically what you'd get if you mix a quesadilla and a taco together. 10/10 would recommend!!

My goodness. I have never had such flavorful "tacos" in my life. I'd heard about Big T's on IG so I decided to finally try them out. First off, they're a food truck parked on Western Blvd in a convenient store parking lot. I'm sure that I've passed by them several times being that they're right by my house. Anyways, I got the 3 tacos- 1 beef, 1 shrimp (for my sister to try), and 1 chicken. The wait was about 15 minutes but it was well worth the wait. The tacos were hot, fresh and flavorful. The broth took it to the next level! If you have not tried them out, please do. The only thing that I was missing was a side of rice and beans. I have not stopped raving about this truck since I visited. I will be retuning!

These tacos were great! The workers were really friendly and were doing their best to handle such a large crowd. I got there 10 minutes before they opened and was 5th in line. All together I waited 10 minutes for them to open, 10 minutes in line, and around 15-20 minutes for my food. Definitely get there as early as you can. I'm sure with time they'll continue to work on efficiency but they're still really new, and worth the wait.

When you arrive, there is plenty of parking around the building, and entrances in the front and on the right side. Once inside, you'll walk up to counter and place your order. Your then given a order number and it's open seating. Your number will be called out in Spanish when your food is ready and you'll pick it up at the counter. I ordered an al pastor taco which unfortunately was not good. It came out extremely cold and needed a lot of salsa for it to have any flavor. I also ordered a steak burrito which was much better and was served with melted cheese on the top. There were fatty pieces throughout the burrito but this was far better than the taco. Lastly, I ordered a horchata but it tasted like grainy and wasn't great. If I'm in the area again I may give this a try but I'd definitely stick with a burrito so your food is hot.

The Jeffrey is something I longed to try. A spring roll filled carna asada, chorizo and al pastor meat mixture full of Mexican flavors and a hint of Chihuahua cheese make this Mex-Asian fusion a filling, tasty treat that has a Serrano Verde salsa on the side if you want more heat. Refried black beans were so creamy smooth I couldn't get enough of these beans I added it to my taco and dipped my spring roll in this yummy mixture. The chicken tinga taco had so much protein I took out half of portion for later. You can see fresh onions and cilantro garnish the top of braised chicken that is tender, juicy all tucked inside 2 corn tortillas. All of the employees seemed friendly and genuinely happy with their jobs. We will definitely return for a date night.

The salad included chicken, cucumber, pickled red onion, corn, crispy tortillas & oregano dressing. The salad was fresh and crisp. I really enjoyed this. I'd get double meat going forward. I also order myself carnitas (delicious) and one chicken quesadilla for my Mom. My mom is such a picky eater but she really enjoyed the quesadilla and was talking about how meaty it was for days. I'm happy with my purchase and I look forward to returning. I do recommend dining at Little Rey if you're in the area.

"They have all the smoke"…read more My first time in the Ironworks area, and me like! Free parking and crossing guards directing traffic - wonderful! Ironworks is a mixed use environment with vendors hawking wears under canopies, alongside brick and mortar stores, shops, and restaurants. Little Rey's (IMO) is Alpaca Restaurant meets Mexican in the best way possible. The line for the food was a solid 30-45 minute wait. So don't be like me, have a seat, pull out your phone, use the code on the table, view menu, and order and pay. However, they have employees who greet customers and begin your drink menu while you wait in line. We ordered the half chicken, Gringa tacos, guacamole, and queso. Little Rey has a pretty extensive salsa bar, with approximately 7-8 varieties. The salsa bar spans the gambit from mild, mid-hot, smoky, and creamy options. The star of the show is the smoked chicken! So good with the corn tortilla, green salsa, grilled onions and grilled jalapeño! Moving forward I'll add an order of the chicken taco to get the perfect bit without the mess! The Gringa/Picadillo taco was good. And while I am a Gringa, and I love a Taco Bell sour cream situation, that almost mayonnaise flavor didn't sit well with my soul. However, the meat itself was super flavorful. I'd ditch the flour tortilla for corn , and opt for another salsa, add pico, and I think we are there. We weren't a fan of the rice, if I'm being honest - but will try again. While I didn't try any alcoholic beverages on this round, I'm stoked to try on my next visit. Plenty of seating, but can get awkward if there are long lines. The party is outside, so that maybe your best bet. Looking forward to grabbing a group of friends for round dos! Northern Mexican: 4.4444
