Incredibly friendly staff including a gentleman full of the best dad jokes. My mom and I came for breakfast and all the food was fresh and delicious! We would have loved to come back for a BBQ dinner, but we are headed out this morning. We loved sitting out on the patio watching the goings on in this quirky little town. I would highly recommend stopping in your at least a coffee and definitely jump back over for dinner like I wish I could.

Stayed 4 nights across the street and had coffee and lattes daily at Tony's. Great quality and friendly service. One night we went to the supper club and it was by far the best meal we had in the Beatty / Death Valley area (and to be clear - an excellent meal overall regardless of location). The menu rotates daily (and he'll give you the menu at 6a when you stop on for coffee). I had the hot bar option and I filled my plate with fresh delicious roti chicken, pulled pork, fresh steamed broccoli and baked potato. And apple crisp. All awesome. Only regret is that I missed brisket night. Would highly recommend having a meal or few here.

Food is decent and owner is very friendly. Recommend to try their T-bone steak and it is really great.

Big Tony's was delicious! Only salad bar in town. And the owner told my party that soon they'll be selling vegetables to the public. 10/10!

My husband and I were nervous because the ratings were so low but it really wasn't that bad. Food was warm, the chicken fried steak with the gravy was pretty yummy. Parfait and fruit was pretty much gone by the time we got there but that's okay! Everything was pretty standard and I'm slightly annoyed by other people's reviews. Yes we bussed our own table but there was someone there cleaning up also. Never felt any pressure to tip. Very clean inside. We asked other people about the dinner buffet and they said it was okay. But again, it was on company dime so we couldn't be too picky. I wouldn't say it was 1.9 rating. There's also a Peet's coffee in the lobby that was pretty consistently busy.

Ratings are 2.5 stars on Google. 1.9! on Yelp. Pretty bad. Lunch was $23, $11.50 for Kids. Dinner costs $29, $14.50. Not as cheap as Bakersfield but not bad. The food was average at best. Pretty sad roll your own salad selection, Cream of potato soup. Make your burger (vegan patty too!), fried chicken, couple types of pizza. Tater tots, veggies, one cake for dessert. You can get coffee and soda from the machines. Service was good, they came around asking every once in a while. Hey, its a National Park, you get what you get and pay. Better to eat elsewhere. Overall - Good Food - Fair Decor - Fair Service - Fair Value - Very Good Would we return? - No

The ham double he juicier and turkey could have been tender. The stuffing was okay too, could have been better. Was very disappointed with the beans. The pies were sickeningly sweet. They wee very busy that day but surprised us with their nice service. Hence, the three stars. Nice, clean place and okay good in the middle of a dessert. Not bad! I probably will tell my friends about this when they visit Death Valley.

The perfect environment to have dinner in after a long day of traveling about Death Valley Nat'l Park. For around $40-45, you'll enjoy decent barbeque with a salad bar option and a beer. They had Newcastle (I pronounce it "newguzzle") on tap so I was very pleased. There are lots of foreign tourists that come to Death Valley so there is even a sort of international vibe being at Wranglers and Furnace Creek Ranch (this shopping hub area). The salad was satisfactory. The vegetables hit the spot. And although the barbeque was pretty good, the sauce was too sweet and not spicy enough. Still, I had fun here. If you're in Death Valley, this is the only acceptable place to have dinner.

It was our first time in DVNP, and the cottages looked super cute and convenient. (They were!) In our duplex cottage, we had our own porch area, and inside, a living room (with a sofa fold out bed), a kitchenette area (with a fridge and microwave and coffee maker), a bathroom with a shower, a little washer/dryer laundry machine, and a master bedroom with a closet. We had access to, and used, the 86 degree pool (great after hiking), and there were restaurants and a gift shop and an ice cream shop, and golf facilities. The Oasis is right next door to the Furnace Creek Visitor Center (which we didn't make it to) and the Furnace Creek campground. Super convenient, Super cute, Good food available at the Wild Rose Tavern (which we went to twice), and our cottage neighbors were great. We loved every minute! Staff are super friendly and helpful and we hope to be back.

When you're the only show in town in the middle of the desert, you can get away with murder. We booked our room several months in advance and it cost almost $300 a night. While we weren't exactly expecting anything "nice," we did expect that our room would not smell like a combination of dirty feet and mold, which it did. The walls are also paper thin, so expect to hear everything going on anywhere within one foot of your quarters. There's no water pressure. The bedding is kind of gross. There's no access to laundry unless you're in a cottage, and there is no gym. Let's talk about the food. The "market" sells protein bars and a miniature bag of chips for $6. The cold brew we got from the coffee station was the most disgusting, sourly bitter drink that we have ever had in our lives. Now, on to the "restaurants": 1) Ice cream Parlor: We unfortunately had dinner here our first night. If you're into unfrozen hamburgers, then this is the place for you. The fries are decent. Chili is the stuff straight out of a can, and it's not hot. The ice cream is pretty good, but costs an exorbitant amount of money. The staff is miserable. The one guy on the register charged us an extra $14 for an item we did not order, and when we pointed out the discrepancy, he looked annoyed at us. Amazing! 2) The Last Kind Words Saloon: We did really like the vibe/atmosphere in this spot, which comes close to the line of being cheesy, but doesn't quite cross it. The chili here, while seemingly homemade, is also not hot. The onion rings are good. The black bean burger tasted like paper. This spot costs more, and is supposed to be more "upscale," but don't be fooled. 3) We went across the highway to the "nicer" hotel and had dinner there on our last night. It's not much of an improvement, more just like a Potemkin village. The three sisters soup was also NOT hot--that's three for three! Is it that hard to serve a soup/chili above luke-warm?? We did enjoy the brussels sprouts, and the veggie enchiladas were passable. The flourless chocolate cake was served, unnecessarily, with a bazillion pine nuts on top of it (no whipped cream or anything else to pull it together at all. Just: Why?). We actually would have given this place three stars, but our food took FOREVER to come out (like, over an hour), and the ice cream we ordered with the dessert didn't even come out with the rest of it! Just: WHY?? Anyway, we'd recommend not staying here, ever, but there is nowhere else to stay! Get an RV? Or if they have rooms with kitchenettes (which they probably don't because they want to bleed you dry), we'd stock up beforehand and get one of those. The front desk folk are an unhappy lot and very not up to the task of helping you with anything (you're interested in horseback riding? Go walk over to the stables!). Oh, and their wi-fi was out of service for half of our stay. The only reason that we are landing on two stars is because we genuinely appreciated that they had a playground area for our kiddo and the pool situation is a nice set-up after a day of exploring. By all means, stay here if you must, but you've been warned.

The service was excellent - our server was very friendly and personable, chatting with us and making recommendations when asked. Everything arrived promptly and as requested. (For instance, I ordered a cocktail with our appetizer and also asked for a glass of wine to be brought with the steak, and the timing was perfect - not always the case when you ask for something to come 20 minutes later.) The food is basic "steakhouse" food - no bells and whistles, and nothing to make it unique, but the steak was delicious, and the sides were perfectly fine. It certainly hit the spot after a day of hiking and exploring. It's expensive, as one would expect in a remote location like this. In normal circumstances, the value wouldn't be there to make it worth visiting... but in the middle of Death Valley, I'll take it! I would go back if I was staying the night again for sure.

I had the roasted chicken, which was quite tasty, particularly the sauce it came in. However I was pretty disappointed in the portion size, particularly given the prices are pretty steep. The size of "veggies and potatoes" was 3 small cuts of a potato and 2 similarly sized cuts of a carrot. The chicken portion was essentially just a leg. The entire area has a bit of a theme park feel to it with pricing, but this felt pretty egregious for $29. Our entire group had a similar takeaway, though some others didn't find theirs as tasty as mine was. I'd pretty strongly recommend against coming here, the sports bar nearby is a far better bang for your buck with probably slightly better quality of food
