Anthony & Denise provided us with our perfect, dream honeymoon in Italy…read more My wife and I got married in March of 2022 but began thinking about our honeymoon destination over a year prior - and it had to be Italy. However, with the planning of a wedding and the uncertainty brought on by Covid, it didn't look good. In stepped these incredible planners. To begin, Anthony & Denise spent time with us learning what our dream honeymoon was. We told them what we envisioned our perfect trip to look like, and they ran with that vague vision and added to it their deep understanding of Italian locales. And they NAILED it. They learned that we valued food, wine, and history in our trip - along with great views. We started with 3 days in Rome seeing as many sites as we could and eating at an incredible restaurant each night (Anthony will not steer you to the wrong restaurant - EVER). One of our first planned tours was with a local that took us on a food tour of Trionfale, and we ended our time in Rome with a guided tour of the Vatican. Both are a must for a first trip to Rome. We then travelled to Tuscany, where they had the most incredible view in Cortona waiting for us. We enjoyed a must experience 6+ hour cooking class, wine tour, and more incredible restaurants. I could go on and on about how great all of this was but it'd be a book. The main thing is that every guide, host, or chef that Anthony & Denise sent us to were the kindest, most knowledgeable, and welcoming people we could've possibly hoped for. We ended our trip in Florence. It's a vibrant city with plenty of history, but that doesn't stop it from feeling very modern & fun. Our apartment had a courtyard with an incredible view of the Duomo at night. There's no way I did the experience justice in these paragraphs - you have to see it for yourself. And the best way to do it is with Italy with Bella. They have a deep love for Italy and travel, and it shows in their trips. They've tried the places that they send people to. The owners/operators of many of the restaurants and tours are friends with Anthony & Denise. All we had to do was give them a vague idea of what we wanted out of our honeymoon and they delivered WAY beyond our expectations.

We took a trip to Disney this summer and she is an EXPERT on navigating Disney parks, hotels, and how to use fast passes to your advantage! She puts so much detail into her bookings and has such a heart to see families thrive in relaxation, adventure, quality time, and fun! I'm so thankful that she has helped my family find the right destination in our budget to make sure we can take a step away from our busy life to really enjoy time together. This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom rental home is located in Franklin, TN which is about 20 minutes outside of the heart of Nashville and it's BEAUTIFUL and incredibly reasonably priced. We loved that it was outside of the heart of downtown because we could relax and really fully enjoy the vacation feel of this home during the day, but then could easily get a driver into the city to party it up at night. We used the car service that the owners of the property recommended, Westhaven Carriage, and they were INCREDIBLY professional. You can tell the owners of this rental home take a lot of pride in their home, from the impeccable Italian inspired interior, to the modern amenities (two dishwashers and a tv in every room for example), and the screened in porch that became our go-to hang out place (even in 90+ degree weather)...everything fit just the way we needed it to for this vacation/celebration. We pretty comfortably had 10 people sleeping in the home (2 people per bedroom plus an extra person in the master bedroom bc it was ENORMOUS and 1 person sleeping on the sectional in the TV room). Although we didn't get to explore Franklin as much as we would have liked (remember it was a bachelorette party)...it's a very historic town and really has its own great character as the icing on the cake to being so close to Nashville.

I was visiting my only high school friend in Franklin, and we were looking for something to do…read moredowntown that did not revolve around eating or drinking for once. She has lived there for years and had never done this tour, which made it feel like a bit of a discovery for both of us. We ended up at the Lotz House Museum, and it turned out to be one of those unexpectedly memorable experiences. On this particular day, we lucked out with Chuck as our guide. He is a former high school history professor, and you can tell immediately. He does not just recite facts, he brings everything to life with stories, details, and just the right amount of drama. The house itself is not large, but that almost works in its favor. Between the stories of the Lotz family and the vivid accounts of the Battle of Franklin happening right outside, you can practically see it all unfolding as you move from room to room. It is the kind of experience that sticks with you long after you leave, and at around seventeen dollars, it feels like an absolute steal. And do not skip the gift shop. Treat yourself to a peach Nehi soda on your way out. It is unexpectedly fantastic, and I am still thinking about how to get my hands on more.

Instead of calling off the tour, Alicia gave me a private one. She was a phenomenal guide--her passion for Franklin, its rich history, and its community was obvious from the start. The tour was fun, dynamic, and incredibly insightful. Alicia shared each encounter with such historical accuracy and animated storytelling that I literally felt chills, all while feeding my love of learning about history and culture. Her reputation in the community is undeniable. Before, during, and after the tour, so many people spoke highly of both the quality of her tours and of her as a person. I originally found Franklin Walking Tours online, but once I arrived in town, every local I asked pointed me straight to Alicia--often described as "the tours with the lanterns." While we walked, it was clear how well-known and well-loved she is. Watching her interact with the community made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming, almost like being at home. Later, when I went to dinner, everyone who asked about my day lit up when I mentioned her tour and immediately started raving about it. Franklin Walking Tours are hands down a must when visiting. I will definitely be back to try the other tours--and I'm hoping to bring my family and maybe even redo this one. :)
