Italy with Bella nailed every detail of our 5-city Italian adventure from beginning to end. When we were exploring the idea of an Italy vacay, I certainly didn't intend to use a travel service. But once we started uncovering all of the destinations we wanted to include and all the logistical details needed to organize the transfers of planes, to drivers, to trains, to ferries, to accommodations, to the 'right' activities and restaurants for 14 jam-packed days, we quickly realized that enlisting the help of someone familiar with Italy would be beneficial. On an outside recommendation, I reached out to Denise (co-owner) and it's absolutely the best decision in our entire trip. Here's just a highlight of that experience: When we initially met with Denise and Anthony, they asked us to explain what Italy evoked for us. What did we envision? What did our mind see when we heard the words. Then they took that and crafted a few trip options based on what hubby and I both communicated back to them (spoiler alert: it was different for each of us). Once we landed on destinations, they then worked on our activity preferences and presented us with a stunning itinerary that allowed us to experience everything we could possibly fit in, but also some down days for resting in the most serene spots. I have never traveled internationally so certainly had questions about expectations and how to operate (especially with COVID mandates in another country). Denise and Anthony met with us several times to help us pre-plan for cultural expectations. *Where to tip, where not *Drinking and eating appropriations like coffee isn't a to-go drink. Italians order it at a table or drink it at a bar. *Areas of each city to steer clear of buying items. "Don't buy the olive oil from this market...they leave it sitting out in the sun all day which ruins the quality." *How to pack to avoid luggage delays/lugging too much around since we transitioned about every 3 days And so much more that was critical to us having knowledge that helped us navigate. A travel app that had each day's itinerary with any applicable tickets uploaded, contact info for drivers or destinations, eating recommendations for each area we would be in that day and all dinner reservations. They would pre-load background info like "Shoulders and Knees must be covered for the Vatican tour so wear or bring a sweater this morning when you leave your apartment." Super helpful to have in one spot when so much packed in. Pro-active travel assistance 24 hours a day. EX: on our train from Rome to Naples, our train got delayed mid-ride. That delay would cause us to miss our ferry to Capri where a driver was waiting for check in. He needed to leave for another client so our train delay rolled everything downhill, which I was panicking to figure out stuck on a train with no WiFi. It was 2 am U.S. time and I didn't even think to call Denise. Just started to try and find new ferry times. Not 5 minutes into my attempts. I received a text from Denise and she told me she was watching our train time, already made adjustments to both the ferry tickets, the drivers, and notified our Capri hotel. POOF! All solved. And as I write this, we are on our 3rd plane reservation of the day because the first two flights have been cancelled all within a 12-hour window. Denise and Anthony quickly located us alternatives to jump on a train and get us out of another airport and into the U.S as quickly as possible to avoid future delays (airline strike in Amsterdam). Anthony, Denise, and their team coordinated an unforgettable two-and-a-half week trip for our family of four (as part of a larger group of twelve) that included visits to Venice, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Taormina, and Sorrento. What comes to mind when you think of the PERFECT vacation? I now can say that through experience, Italy with Bella and PERFECT VACATION go hand in hand! Where do I begin? Was it because their owner, Anthony Campopiano, checked in several times with us during our vacation to Italy to make sure our expectations were being met? He was by no means a nuisance, but he checked in to make sure we were content, satisfied, safe, and curious if we had anything on our to do list that we forgot to mention, now that we were finally in Italy. Was it the fact that owners of restaurants, vineyards, olive oil suppliers, and boutiques treated me with white glove service as soon as I mentioned, "Italy with Bella referred me here"? Was it because Italy with Bella arranged for private wine tastings, viewing olive oil being pressed, and watching the most breathtaking sunset my eyes have ever seen? Could it be the fact that Italy with Bella delivered on giving us the most authentic Italian experiences, as opposed to the typical and predictable travel agent recommendations? Could it be the friends we made from these connections, that I am still in contact with through social media? I rarely post reviews but feel compelled to leave a review for Anthony at Italy with Bella. My husband and I are feeling so much better about our plans for our first trip to Italy and Southern Italy. We had not been on a vacation in four years since the pandemic and while we have been talking about planning a trip to Italy for over a year, health challenges got in the way of me doing the real kind of planning I ordinarily do. Once out of the woods, I didn't realize how daunting this task would be. I started to search online for information and discovered the Italy with Bella podcast which really resonated with the way we like to travel- going off the beaten path to experience what it is to live in the place we are visiting but also being sure to see those things that are popular for a reason. Where do I begin? This was our dream vacation and Anthony and Denise did not disappoint. I talked my husband into using a travel agent as he loves to book his own trips. We are both so very happy that we did this. They met with us and went over our wish list and allowed us to express our wants, needs and concerns. They love food as much as we do so we even felt comfortable allowing them to steer us with restaurants which is something my husband never does. Best vacation of our lives! My wife and I are experienced travelers and have visited Italy on self planned trips over the years. Having Italy with Bella help plan the trip made it feel as if we were seasoned Italian travelers rather than our first time visiting. We hit all the Tourist spots but knew the things not to do and a few time saving tricks for sure.
