    Salmon bento box
    Desiree P.

I have been in several times over the years I have lived in the area. The service has always been friendly and the food good. I came in today and ordered the salmon bento box, as well as the Crispy Spicy Tuna Roll. I was skeptical about the quality of the sushi, but my concern was for nothing. You'll notice there is no photo of my sushi roll, that's because I inhaled it all during the four block drive home. While it wasn't very spicy, it was delicious. Each bite melted in my mouth. The salmon bento box was full of delicious food. There were two moist pieces of salmon, three gyoza, two crispy prawn tempura, an egg roll and rice. I wasn't able to much after enjoying the large portion of sushi. Absolutely delicious!

1st thing I have to say is this place is clean! Not fancy but someone dusts every corner of this place which I am a germaphobe so that was a amazing start and says a lot about their restaurant. The food was was really good other than the teriyaki had too much sauce. Recommend to ask for 1/2 the sauce with some on the side. Customer service was great and its conveniently just off the highway.

Teriyaki combo $11 and Yangnyum chicken $18
    Doris W.

Cody and I swung in here Friday night for a quick bite to eat. We saw that it had decent reviews and we both love a good teriyaki place! Upon walking up, Cody saw a sign outside promoting Yangnyum Chicken that looked delicious in the photo! So we ordered: - Yangnyum Chicken $17+ (comes with pickled daikon, shredded cabbage with dressing on side, rice, and large order of the chicken) - Teriyaki Chicken and General Tsao Chicken Combo $11.99 - side of egg rolls - bill was around $36 There was no price listed for the Yangnyum Chicken, just a description of the chicken itself. So when the total rang up hire than expected, we then asked how much the Yagnyum was, and the lady explained it was $17+ but it is a whole chicken. So we went with it and when it got served, it was way more than what we had originally expected! It's like a spicy sweet saucy Korean Fried Chicken dish. It was def tasty! But Cody said if he knew the price, he wouldn't have ordered it because we weren't looking to order that much food! Oh well, we tried something new. The teriyaki chicken was great here and I liked their teriyaki sauce! As for the General Tsao Chicken, it was soggy. Wish it was more crispy. We had so much food, we ended up taking home leftovers, and it fed us another meal! Overall, we enjoyed the food here and would come back.

There's getting to be quite a bit of teriyaki along this stretch of 99, and these guys are another solid addition to the mix. They have plenty of parking, a clean restaurant, and fair prices. They get the job done for sure. This is a busy strip mall at a busy intersection, but very easy to get to. And there's more parking most of the time than you might expect. They have a small, relatively narrow space in one of the units, and most of it is a big bustling grill and kitchen area, with a small register counter. There's free soup at the front of the counter, and a soda fountain (with more drinks in the cooler in the back). They have all different teriyakis, udon, a bunch of different stuff on the menu. Prices range from around $7-8 up to about $10. I had the chicken yakiudon, which was about $9 after tax. There's definitely more rice and noodle than there is protein and veg in this dish, but that's to be expected. The noodles are huge, but they have decent texture and flavor. A little salty for my liking, but as an occasional treat that's OK. The staff are super nice. I could definitely see coming back here again.

I love everything; perhaps the octopus could be cooked a little longer to tenderize more. I love the crunchiness from it, and the crunchiness from the black mushroom too. Maybe the chef can find a way to achieve just enough tenderness while still being crunchy, which would be perfect. Another thing, my bowl looks burned on the edges. Kudos to all staff! They can accommodate big groups, as they had 2 different large groups at the same time, but those took up a lot of tables because the restaurant isn't that spacious. The combos are a good option if you have people to share with and/or multiple people are hungry. The portions are enough for more than one meal, and the prices reflect that. We ordered boiled dumplings and the friends combo A with jajung, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk (M). The bowls of jajung and jjamppong are huge, but I didn't notice any meat in the jajung. The jajung was basically noodles, brown sauce, and onions. It was tasty, but disappointing that it looked and tasted vegetarian. The jjamppong was tasty because it was garlicky and slightly spicy. I was surprised to see the boiled dumplings were basically tiny wontons in clear broth. They need to update their menu description because I was expecting dry and regular sized dumplings. The tangsuyuk was very crispy, and I'm glad they served the goopy sauce separately.

I ordered the cabbage and pork potstickers, the Dandan noodles, a beef pancake roll, the veggie, egg and shrimp potstickers, and finally the lamb with onion potstickers and one coca-cola (yes, all of this was for me, don't judge). First, the beef pancake roll was AMAZING!!! It's a super simple item, the pancake was crispy and soft, wrapped around some lettuce and flavourful beef. This is a must order. The potstickers were all fantastic. Warm, pillowy pockets full of veggies and protein. The cabbage and pork were my favourites. Finally, the Dandan noodles. These noodles were covered with beef and sauce that had just a whisper of peanut butter. So simple but yummy! This place serves up some delicious food!

It is their specialty and they do it well, from the skin to the fillings. In my opinion, they are much better than dough zone. However, their pot stickers, steamed, and boiled ones, are all the same type, so be aware not to order too many dumplings, mix in some noodle or pancakes dishes to avoid one note. My only complaint to the menu is they don't offer much wide veggie dishes. The only thing is the cucumber salad, which is only a ok dish.

I've been aware of the Seattle location because of the cute name, like mountain bao, but never visited. Lynnwood (Mill Creek) area is a bit more convenient, so decided to stop by. Kind service, mainly taking orders and dropping off food, but was pleasant. Green Beans - solid green beans! No meat but stir fried well. A bit pricey but a solid shareable portion. I'd love a version with some meat but I can appreciate being vegetarian friendly. Pan Fried Pork Bao - sadly no soup in this pan fried bao. I think there was too much bread because everything was very doughy while the actual pork was tiny in comparison. If there was more meat then maybe the extra large dough would be okay. On the bright side I guess this is a filling item with the carbs. Xiaolongbao - Unfortunately, 2 out of 8 XLB were ripped and the soup spilled in the steamer. Those ones were extremely sad and disappointing. However, even the remaining 6 XLB didn't have that much soup. I would skip the XLB here which sucks because the place literally has bao in the name. Shu Mai - tasty, hearty, comfy, and satisfies the craving perfectly. Large and scrumptious, as delicious as any dim sum spot. Highly recommend because I was shocked, not expecting much.
