This is only for the driving range, but since this place is 75% driving range, I imagine you'd get a pretty good feel for it as a whole based on this review. (To be fair, they have mini golf, which was closed when I was there today, and ALLEGEDLY an indoor simulator, but when I called to inquire, they never picked up the phone and never called back.) Went there to hit a large bucket of balls today, along with every other single person in Deptford; or so it seemed. Large bucket is $13 and is about 100 balls, so the price isn't bad, even though everything else was. First, the mats are beat to shit. They are grooved, indented and just crappy. There are no tees. I even went to the shop to ask, and was told, "nah...we don't have any." So, you just have to hope to luck up and find an empty mat with a tee on it. I had to move from the upper deck to the lower, outside level to find a mat with a reasonable tee, as everything else was taken or without a tee. As bad as the mats are, the balls are 10x worse. I went to Ginos Driving Range in Mantua, and I thought THOSE balls were bad. The balls here are abysmal. Scuffed, cracked, bald; a mixture of range balls and found top flights, etc. Just terrible. (See the pics.) The range is a muddy mess with an old rusted out plane sitting on it. I guess to give duffers something to make noise at. No yard markers or anything constructive. AND, something I found weird/dangerous, is the the range kind of horseshoes, with people on the "sides" hitting off the actual grass, almost BACK INTO THE OTHER RANGE MATS. The grass crowd was basically perpendicular to the other hitters, AND to the LEFT, so a slice from them would send the balls straight at the people on the range. I didn't have that occur to me today, but a ball DID come passing behind us from the other direction. (No idea how....) There aren't many ranges in the area, and this one is maybe barely better than Ginos, balls not withstanding, but I'll still be in no rush to get back here. read more

It could be even better though; the range is a little run down with not many people working, and the mini golf course is also a little run down, but the design of it is great, and some of the holes on the course are so beautiful! We have been here several times to use the driving range as well as play mini golf. While we really want to like this place, we actually do, it needs some TLC. The course shows it's wear and tear. There is trash scattered throughout the mini golf course that could easily be cleaned up by staff or by having garbage cans on the course. The landscaping needs to be weeded and mulched properly. The batting cages in the back are flooded and need to be taken care of. Many of these things are eyesores which take away from the enjoyment of playing mini golf. The staff is extremely nice and your entrance fee does allow you to play both 18 hole courses. The driving range consists of a lower deck, upper deck and side ranges on the grass. There is an automated ball dispenser which takes a coin that is purchased at the front window. The do sell a few snacks and water at the front window also. read more

The $7 fee for up to 38 holes is probably the best value for mini golf you will find anywhere nowadays. The course was, despite what was said in some of the more critical reviews, above average quality. The layout was spread out in such a way that it was conducive to groups to mingle and have fun. Some holes were designed very easy to get it in the hole on shot 1 or 2, but some were even "par 4" which involved extra strategizing. This was a great way to keep all ages engaged. The one review even said the course was "not kid-friendly" but my kids would strongly disagree because they enjoyed the challenge. read more

So many bad reviews. I think this place is great. The INRANGE system works really well. It's like Top Golf with a much cheaper price and no where near as fancy. $13 is a very fair price for a bucket of balls considering the INRANGE system and all the games you can play on it. It takes the monotony out of the driving range. Staff is fine. Not overly friendly but I'm there to hit golf balls and work on my game. The mats are hit and miss as are the tees but I've always found a way to make it work. P.s. I like the airplane!! read more

Love this place mainly because of the value. There are two decent sized and challenging mini golf courses & it is awesome that they let you play unlimited mini golf games! Hit up Big Swing yesterday for some mini golf. Big Swing needs some serious renovations. The carpet on most holes was seriously worn out. Mulch, weeds, and tree debris pretty much on most holes. The driving range was fine. We didn't play mini golf so this review doesn't include the mini golf. We went mostly for the batting cages and they were in desperate need of repair. Only 3 cages were "operable" and I use that term loosely. The pitching machines required a kid to put the balls in, so we waited a lot for the balls. The fences and netting were ripped and the bats and helmets were unusable. Go for the golf, skip the batting cages. I'd say they are unsafe, especially with the wasps. read more

Came here last October on our last day before our Living Social voucher expired (we completely forgot we had it). It was cold and misty outside but they would not give us a coupon to come back another time. Ok, no big deal since it was our fault anyhow, but we would have really appreciated it. The mini golf course was okay, nothing to write home about. We came back today to use their batting cages for my 8 year old daughter. This is her 4th year playing ball and we thought it'd be a good time and she's at a good age to start using the batting cages. They did not have a cage for younger or less experienced players and their slowest cage was 35mph. After 40 attempts (one foul ball which after she hit it stung her hands because it was so fast) she was frustrated and gave up. We wound up going to Gino's in Mantua where they have a cage that lobs the softball and throws much slower. I will say that their batting cage prices were very cheap. $2.00 for 20 pitches, $3.00 for 40 pitches, and $5.00 for 60 pitches. read more

18 holes of awesome, one hole of mild terror!* My most favoritest men, the Fella and That Blonde Kid, escorted me for every girl's Saturday night dream date: an evening of hardcore mini-golf. Fun with clubs! Big Swing offers two courses of 18 holes each for a modest $6 per person to putt both. The red course, where your ball-whacking begins, leads you over mildly-challenging, slightly-mountainous terrain. Clubs were aflyin' as we putted our way around the first 18 holes, culminating in a swift thwack of dimpled ball down a dark tunnel while Temple of Doom music and fog poured from a giant tiki hut. Fortune and glory, kid. Despite being fairly busy, the red course is laid out nicely in such a way that you don't really notice the other patrons - unless, as we experienced, one comes sliding down a hill directly on to your green. Which brings up something you might need to note: aim carefully! Sometimes when ambition and skill do not connect, but your putter and the ball do, you may find yourself ambling goat-like over rocks, through bushes, and into the tall, tall grass (If you hit the swamp, you've gone too far! Turn back, my friend!) to find your loose ball. There's just enough twists and turns to make designating an off-roading caddy a necessity. (Tip: choose the most limber of your party.) And the blue course? No clue. As the sun dipped below the horizon and That Blonde Kid started rubbing his eyes, we called it a night. An hour and $18 well-spent. *But what of the aforementioned hole of mild terror? That'd be the ladies' room. It's located in a deep, dark (at 8:45 pm) building down past the driving range. Once inside, I caution you: perch gently! The toilet in the lady loo has more wobble than V.I.C. Is it even attached to the floor?? All in all: great night of family fun on a course stimulating enough to keep the whole family engaged. Just know that you ladies may have to work a little harder for the hole in one on the 19th. read more

Legit mini-golf close by! I was surprised that this place was not busier than it was on a warm Saturday evening in May - but the rest of South Jersey's loss was my gain as we were able to breeze through about 30 holes of mini-golf in short order. This spot features not one, but two mini-golf courses for a single $6 admission price. You get to choose whether you want to do the red course or the blue course first, but this was not as hard a choice as the red pill blue pill choice in The Matrix because both courses were very nice. I do want to warn you, however, that this is not a course to bring the small kids to because the holes are pretty challenging. I like to think of myself as a pretty good mini-golfer and I took my lumps on multiple holes and picked the ball up with a 5 without even getting close to the hole. There were lots of waves to the fairways, multi-level holes, holes that had very little margin for error with long uphill putts, paver side walls that created weird rebounds, and lots of steps. One of the reasons this course got 4 stars instead of 5 was because many of the holes on the red course featured mossy, spongy, muddy stuff growing in the bottom of the holes and most of the holes had lots of debris on the fairways, but that was a small thing to overlook for such a great value and challenging course. Big Swing also features batting cages, which were not being used at all while we were there. There is also a large driving range, which featured a two level range house (covered tees on the first level) as well as grassy tees on the side. The other reason that I only gave 4 stars was because the snack bar was closed and there were no refreshments available at all. The bathrooms are located in the snack bar, which makes it kinda creepy to go through this empty, dark building to use the bathroom - I have seen enough horror movies to know that could easily not turn out well! But this place is no horror movie - it's a fun place to take the family for a challenging round (or two) of mini-golf. read more

Big Swing Golf Center is a pretty nice place that doesn't seem to be known too well. They have two 18 hole mini golf cources, a driving range and batting cages. My girlfriend and I had a groupon which included a round of golf for 2 at both of their courses, so 72 holes total, and a round for each of us in the batting cages. The golf courses were ok, most of the holes were fairly simple but some of them were challenging. They were also redoing the "greens" on all the holes. We didn't get a chance to play the batting cages as we got done glf too late, but we kept our tokens for the next time we are there. Great place for practicing irons and drivers. Chipping and pitching areas need improvement and the practice putting green is worn out (not worth the effort to restore). Reasonably priced buckets (S-M-L) of golf balls. Covered and open mat stalls are available, as well as large natural grass areas for serious golfers. Visited this past weekend and used the simulator on site. It's a great way to get in a round of golf on less than ideal weather days. The owner is a great guy who continued to make sure we were having a good experience. He was very accommodating to us the entire time and made sure that we were setup with everything we needed. I want to give this place more stars because it has great potential and is located in a great location from where I live However, the driving range has such a dull view with dull hard to see cardboard yardage markers. Also, being left handed the place had only one left handed 3 wood driver so had to wait a long time. I have since bought my own because I enjoy the driving range. Couldn't find a vending machine anywhere. The mini golf is so plain and simple too with mostly straight away puts. I really hope the owners overhaul this place one day because the potential is really there just needs more flare!!! read more
