The wide open grassy areas, the picnic tables, the trees - it was a veritable emerald hidden away from the rest of the craziness along a busy canyon. Those days are gone. South Fork Park is still there. But gone are the days when you could escape the crowds. They've found South Fork. And they're packed in up there every weekend. The facilities are okay. Two pavilions, a big field, lots of picnic tables, a few grills. The bathrooms today were in horrendous shape, and there was more litter than I'm comfortable with. Parking was tough with so many people there, and there were kids crawling out of every corner you could find. The respite comes when you cross the bridge. There are a few tables with fire pits along the trail, and it was there that we found our area and camped out for the afternoon. Some weenies, some s'mores, some beverages. It was a hot day, but the trees provided lots and lots of shade. There are plenty of amenities. In addition to the restrooms and rentable powered pavilion, you've got a volleyball court, water at several spigots throughout, and great access to a little stretch of river. It's not nearly as high and mighty as the Provo proper, so it's a good choice for parents worried about kids near the raging rapids. Truthfully, I'm disappointed to see that the masses have now converged on South Fork Park. There are days when you can still find some peace, but not weekends. And when it's crowded like that it takes its toll on every part of a park that seems to bend a bit under that kind of stress. If you go, take care of it. It's in a gorgeous setting and should be treated well so it stays gorgeous for everyone who enjoys it in the future. And that seems to be a lot of people.

There were several picnic tables under a protective roof. The wind was horrible however that day. It was a bit chilly even though it was 75 degrees. The park has restrooms, a water fountain, and several things you can do, riding bikes, running, walking g, and floating the water as well as other things. It's a really pretty area with lots of trees and water that runs along the park. We had a great time and would highly recommend this park for a nice family time

If you want to come and take a breather and let some steam out, this is the place. There is a five-mile hike if you want to bike, skateboard, walk or run. The hike is amazing. Beautiful scenery. As we were walking we found this really awesome cave! Too scared to go inside though. As you are walking there is a nice creek on the side and picnic benches. Nice spot to chillax. There are bathrooms and also a playground for the kids. They have this cool train you can play on as well. The only thing I didn't see is a fire pit or grill to BBQ. There are a few other spots nearby that have these if you want.

We had a "Karen" who decided to yell at us for temporarily parking closer to the Pavillion to unload some heavy items. We had reserved the Pavillion. We were parked with hazards on for less the 10 minutes. but due to her yelling at us and getting mad because we were ignoring her. So my advice Stay away. Or find a time that's less busy to enjoy the Park. it Would be nice to have Pavillion Parking specifically for those who have reserved a Pavillion for a party. Some people just walked through the Pavillion which that's on them no manners. There was lots of litter. The bathrooms were nasty. Then a HUGE Yellowjacket problem. Swarming the food and around people. There was construction project and piles of dirt were not covered so a wind gust would kick up dirt and roll it through the area. the breeze was nice kept the temp low. but the dust was unpleasant. Vivian Park is a historic place. But due to so much over usage it's losing its charm. We won't be returning and I don't recommend it. Utah do better your Forest and the Charm of the Parks are lost. Not to mention with the amount of people floating down the River your World Famous Fishing.. not the best the River is just too contaminated. You can Do better.
