I've come here 3 times since my initial review. Can't get enough of bear loop. My first time was around 58 min or so with stopping to take pics. My most recent is 33 min round trip with no stopping. Everyone is friendly and you get such great views no matter what part of the trail you're on.

Going for a hike to thr Bridge is always a good time, but this time it was a little extra fun to see some lizards and fresh spring flowers in bloom! With lizards comes the birds, It was quite magical to see nature in full bloom. The hike was great. Parts of the trail are starting to need some work but overall very doable. The trails can be confusing so I recommend downloading the trail guide until you are familiar with your path. There are two starting points to get to the bridge a northern park and a southern trailhead. Both are fun and have restrooms! Check them both out!

It's a good hike, for what it is. Certainly very unique and the insta-kids love it for the pics. We're pretty spoiled when it comes to hikes in Utah, so this won't stack up against a Cottonwood Canyon hike, and deeffffffinitely not against a national park hike (ha!) but for a hike that takes off from just above a neighborhood and gives you valley views, it's just right. You can park at the park and take either a clockwise or counter-clockwise loop once you hit the main service road/trail. I like clockwise, but most people do it the other way. The bridge itself is kinda cool, I don't know of too many other suspension bridges in the state (but randomly hike two of them on the same day a few months ago) so that's a bonus. Sunset is killer up here and highly recommended. You won't have it to yourself due to its popularity with the kids and proximity to civilization, but if you want a quick jaunt with views dial this one up.

There are a few names for this hike-I heard it referred to as the Draper Suspension Bridge. Whatever you call it, it's gorgeous and a terrific hike. There's plenty of parking at Orson Park, right where the trailhead is, and it's clearly marked to identify where the path is. I saw several signs warning of rattlesnakes, although I never saw a snake myself. (Thank goodness!) The hike is around 3 miles round trip, has a light incline and some areas have slightly loose rocks and sand. But it's a relatively easy hike that most everyone would probably enjoy. As others have noted, there's no shade so early morning or evening might be the best time to come. I was here at sunset and adored the beautiful changing sky. The bridge itself is fairly long and a bit wobbly-as to be expected from a suspension bridge. If you're afraid of heights or unstable footing, you might want to skip this one. But if you're cool with it, take the hike-you won't regret it!

I found this suspension brindle on a list of hikes to do while in Salt Lake City. This trail is easy to locate. The start of the trail is located within a neighborhood. After talking with a few other hikers we determined that the path with a smaller incline would be to continue going left. If you would like to follow this same path, when you see a sign pointing up and going straight- go straight. While walking this trail it is important to ensure that you have on sunblock and are hydrated. There is no shade for the majority of the hike to the bridge. We stopped at a beautiful waterfall while in route to the bridge which was a pleasant surprise. When we made it to the bridge we snapped a few pics and walked across. This is a suspension bridge so be prepared for it to wobble as you walk across it. If you are seeking a leisure hike with beautiful views I would highly recommend the hike to this bridge!

Easy to moderate trail. All snow on trail is gone. This does cross the Bonneville Shoreline trail...so what for bikers. Trail i well marked to get you to the bridge. Great view of the valley from the bridge.

This is an easily accessed trail located in Draper. It's just long and challenging enough to make it worth it. There are great views of the Salt Lake Valley. Depending on the direction you head, there can be a lot of mountain bikers on the trail where things are narrow, so be aware. However, making the suspension bridge trail loop, you should be able to avoid them on the route. The suspension bridge is pretty cool and can make for some great picture ops.

We are from out of town and this was a great trail for a moderate uphills hike with beautiful views of the whole valley.

I've mountain biked several times from Corner Canyon along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail to the Bear Canyon Suspension Bridge.

We…read moredo live in a beautiful state and it's appropriate for us to step outside, take a look around and appreciate when nature shows off. I joined a group of hikers and hit the trails this past week, in search of some great fall colors. Bell Canyon did not disappoint. There is plenty of parking at the trailhead, including clean bathrooms. The first part of the trail is pretty rocky and has a decent elevation gain-poles are helpful, but at the least, have good shoes with some traction. Once you get to the reservoir, it's pretty flat and there are lots of places you can get amazing pictures. Be sure to take some time down by the water-it's so calming and just beautiful. There were some detour signs on the trail, so we didn't get the full experience (not sure why it was closed, but we tried to follow signs until they suddenly stopped. So we turned around and came the way we went.) Overall, it's a beautiful hike and I'd love to come try it again when the trail is open.

It took us about 4 hours to hike approx. 6 miles with short breaks in between for water. It's a mixer of flat, incline, rocky, slippery (snow still out towards end of hike), upward steps, and mini bridges to cross over small water streams. There are surrounding plants and trees, but most are barely blooming. Didn't see any wildlife animals, but saw a few squirrels crossing our paths lol. The hike itself wasn't too hard. I'd rate it intermediate. It was only challenging because the paths towards the end were slippery due to snow still out and melting. It was fun with some close calls. Luckily I found a stick on the way to use. We passed by the lake at the beginning of the hike, which was nice. Once we reached the waterfall, we took a refreshing break; snacked a bit; embraced the beautiful nature; and then, headed back where we started. It was harder to hike down the slippery snow than it was to hike to the waterfall. I'd come back to hike this place during fall to see the vibrant color of the trees.

I think I brought part of 7-Eleven with me after a quick pit stop there before the hike…read more This was one of the most interesting, fun, and confusing hikes I've done (early May). I didn't realize there'd still be so much snow, so I forgot long socks. It was sunny and in the high 70s, but I saw people hiking shirtless, in flip-flops with socks, shorts, snow gear, and even snowshoes. At that point, I gave up trying to figure out if I was doing it right and just went with it. Every step felt like a gamble. I had no clue what was under the snow or how deep it went. The trail is hard to follow with all the snow, so I recommend using the AllTrails app. My feet sank into snow that felt like a 7-Eleven slushy. I slipped on icy snow and even fell into a hole, but it was worth it, lol. Without snow, it's an easy hike. With snow, I'd consider it intermediate. It's -2 mi RT (3 hours with 1 hr break). You'll cross two small bridges (one with rails & one without). When you see the "Welcome to the Wasatch-Cache National Forest" sign, follow the water stream. It'll take you to Gloria Falls (~0.25 miles left). There's a parking lot and one restroom (separate stalls). parking was almost full when I got there late morning on a Thursday. I'd def come back when there's no snow to experience it differently.

Around 595 ft. elevation gain throughout the hike :) The falls were stunning! We went in the afternoon and there were a lot of families on the trail but not too overly crowded.
