I returned to the store ($40.00 it should last longer than a few hour!) Employee argued with me why it's normal but finally replaced it. Now less than 3 weeks after the repair the screen has cracked in half. Haven't dropped or bumped my phone. No damage to phone anywhere except the magic crack! Same employee was extremely rude and degrading. Won't stand up to their overpriced product. Won't recommend this place to anyone. Found a place cheeper and half the price! And they have warranty on the product.

He said he could fix it and then handed me back a phone that granted the adds had been stopped but the actual phone no longer functioned properly because he had transferred the phones the e-sim to another phone and could not recover it, He deleted my entire email history for one of the two email accounts. I had to go to the Telus store down the street and have a new sim installed and they helped me recover my e-mail account and e-mail history. The kicker.... this guy charged me $150.00 for this debacle!! I went back after going down the street to the TELUS store to have them fix his mistakes and they were kind enough to help me out. I then went back to Josh to tell him I wasn't happy and he blew me off and would not refund any money. Do your self a favor and avoid this company.

I solved the problem with a quick Yelp message to Ty the iPhone Guy! Well, rather they solved the problem. Within only a few minutes I received a text back at the number I provided. They told me a broken Lightning port would take about 20 minutes to fix and they'd be able to have it done today! Perfect! I dropped it off at their shop, well, their house, near Fish Creek Park. Note: this is a tiny mom & pop business run out of their house. I'm not sure if they always do drop-offs... They've got a branded car with their phone number on it. Maybe they do mail? Pickup? Not sure. While a house isn't the most convenient for a person to go to, it sure is nice to support a small business where they can look after their kids while working in the home-based shop. I came back a 20 minutes later and my iPhone was fixed... and it was FREE! Turns out the lightning ports are really bad at getting compacted pocket lint stuck down inside them, but you can clean it out with a knitting needle or something similar. Ty has a special tool for this, but a little bit of scraping and tapping got the job done. I'm both impressed and embarrassed with this discovery. I kind of feel like he should have charged me something for being a dumb-ass, but he didn't and that makes me really happy. It would have been simple to tell me that it was broken, replace the part and charge me the $50. Instead, they did it for free and made me a total fan! While I'm not sure how the pickoff/dropoff system usually works with the fixin' shop run out of the house, the process was very simple for me and got done right away. Not only did they do a fast and efficient job of fixing my broken (dirty) phone, they're the kind of honest people you feel good about giving your money to. Call them.

I am very disappointed in what transpired here…read more For those who have read my reviews, you will know that it is a very rare occassion that I rate a business poorly. Therefore, I am certain you will understand why I was frustrated enough to tell the world what happened last week when I walked into Deer Point Alterations and Repairs. I walked into the business and it was a busy place, which is always a good sign that you are in a reputable business in my mind. I walked in with three items of clothing. Two coats and a costume. I ask her if she can help me with the first coat. A few of the buttons disappeared over time. She was pretty deadpan and said that she doesn't have any buttons, so if I want them, I have to go and buy them across the street at Zellers and she can put them on. Then I pull out the costume. Its a white roman costume that I wore for Halloween. A few of the seams didn't last, and I was hoping to have it repaired, so that I could wear it to the Taboo show for their toga night. The lady tells me in her deadpan voice that she only does alterations, not repairs. I didn't show her the third coat. I thanked her and left. I can understand that she is running a busy place, and I can see the buttons.... If she doesn't have any, she offered an alternative - for me to buy my own and come back. That gave her two stars instead of 1. However, the roman dress comment upset me. Simply because I went out of my way to go there, because it is one of the few seamstresses that are open outside of regular business hours. From her expression, tone of voice, and barriers, I felt like she simply didn't want to do business with me. No problem, Deer Point Alterations & Repairs. No problem. 13/30
