The price was great for a short rental. Shortly after reserving my time on the Dig Paddlesports website I received a call about the reservation. Originally booked for an AM rental, the associate let me know of the best time to be out on the water that day was mid morning and offered to move my time if I wanted. It was a nice to have insights from a local professional. On the day of the rental I met the owner Bill and learned more about his business and his passion for outdoor adventures. He was friendly and personable which was helpful for someone passing through. I went out on the water and had a great time. The natural beauty of Southern Utah combined with support from DIG made may trip eventful. I would recommend to stop by Quail Creek state park and ask Dig about different rental options, you will not regret looking into this place.

We waited a full ten minutes before walking down to the water to look for someone and finally found two employees, evidently they did not hear the radio with them. They were not ready for our reservation of 3 so we had to wait for them to get a paddle board ready. One of the oars we had was broken and kept coming apart. They were very aloof/quiet and did not explain rules, where to go, how to use the boards, etc. We kind of just sat there until one of them said we could go. Our reservation was at 12 and we did not get onto the water until 12:30. We came back to the booth halfway through our reservation to get water and there were no employees around, so we just left our paddle boards on the shore. They did let us be late back because they said they "didn't care" so we stayed out until 4:20. The new employee on shift was more friendly and took our paddle boards for us. The lake itself was beautiful and there was plenty to see, but the business wasn't very professional.

First off, if you're on the fence about going, DO IT! This is a beautiful summer campground, we went June 8-10, 2018 and the weather was perfect. It did get a little cold at night, but nothing that our sleeping bags couldn't handle. The campgrounds here aren't too close together which I really appreciated, but some campsites are more shaded than others. I stayed in B loop, site #48 and it was conveniently located close to the restrooms (which are kept very clean) and the campground host, who sell firewood. People here were very respectful of the quiet hours which start at 10. Keep in mind that there are no showers at this campsite. Also, the picnic table and fire ring are on concrete which I loved SO much and it even comes with a stand for your portable stove and a place to hang your lantern. The campsite also has tent pads that they have leveled out which made sleeping very comfortable. However, the one thing I do regret is not bringing a hammock!! There are lots of trees here. This place is also walking distance to a small lake where you can go fishing and a short 4 mike drive to Duck Creek Village, which has a convenience store, small restaurants, and souvenir shops.

The wildlife in the park is always fun to watch. Hummingbirds, geese, rabbits and an occasional fancy peacock provide morning and late afternoon entertainment. But the best amenity is the close access to the famous Utah Paiute ATV trail system or the Old Spanish Trail bike path. Great campground, perfect amount of space, well attended and well maintained!…read more This was one of many stops along a 14-day cross country and we could not be happier that we wound up here! This was actually our 1st time in a KOA and so happy we chose this one and this town! The town is a 1 traffic light town, small and down-home, the campground is just a few blocks from the downtown center and the entire campground was ready for tents, trailers, diesel pushers and even cabins that they rent. Pool and dog park were our 2 main choices for the stop, an awesome lake about 10 minutes outside of town for fishing, a great small town restaurant "Cowboy's Smokehouse" a couple of minutes away, antique shopping for those into that, just an overall perfect location in the heart of Americana! Sites are interesting in that they are "buddy sites" they door to door your campsite side to the next trailer, we loved it because we met the people next door much quicker that way. Also met everyone around us who were having a major cornhole tournament while we were there, they were fun, very open and great neighbors. I honestly was a little worried about the noise but that squad shut it down at 9pm and were quiet as a mouse, not that we really cared but their game was pretty intense for a while! Walked around and met a lot of the other people in the camp, a few full-timers and a few nightly space renters like us, really great ownership in a clean and nicely run camp.
