This place was seriously a getaway dream come true! Up in the beautiful unique mountains of southern Utah, with so many outdoor adventures to choose from, very friendly and kind staff, and no cell service so it's a really good disconnect from the world. The stars were amazing at night, all accommodations were there for us--we even asked the staff if they had any card games for us to play at night and they did!! River rafting was probably the highlight. Our river guide, Nate, was really personable, funny, and had some great facts about the river and area and some fun shapes that he pointed out that the rocks and trees formed along the way. There were some bumpy rapids that we got splashed from, one girl fell off briefly, and Nate quickly scooped her back in, but other than that I'd say it's a very family friendly rafting ride. The river had some nice calmer spots and was quite long! Nate was a very good guide and kept us safe. It was my first time rafting and I felt very confident in his ability to navigate us and the overview/safety training at the beginning also gave me confidence. The river itself was pretty, was full, and the water felt nice and refreshing in the hot July weather. I wish we would've done the zip line and ropes course because it looked really cool! But we filled our time with a hike to a nearby cave, doing the lazy river float, and going to some nearby hotpots (red hills hot springs) at night. Such a fun weekend! 4 of us "seniors" decided to go whitewater rafting and we had a blast! It was my first time and something I've always wanted to do. Checked in directly across from The Rock Candy Mountain Resort at a little shed building south of the gas station, signed some papers and then drove down the hill to where the rafts are (there is a bathroom at the top of the hill to change clothes) but we were already suited up with bathing suits, T-shirts, shorts AND WATER SHOES!! Don't wear sneakers and socks. You will be walking in soggy shoes. Also no sunglasses, phones, cameras or any hat you don't want to lose. Joshua our guide has been with the company 3 years and had a laid back surfer style about him. He was polite, well mannered and a great person. He also knew every curve and drop in that river! We had mild areas of the river to admire the rocks and view with Joshua giving us a lot of history about the area and he was great at calling our commands as to when to paddle and when not to. We did many scream worthy drops with water in our faces and inside the raft! The ride took about 1 hour, 45 minutes and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!! We did the 5-7 pm time slot so we wouldn't get too sunburnt. It was perfect. Would do it again in a heartbeat! The rafts hold 4-6 people plus the guide. Joshua was fabulous and he made this a 5 star trip!!! read more

We had a blast at Big Rock Adventure! The lazy river was a great balance between exciting and relaxing. The rafting is not to be missed! Our guide did a fantastic job of not only navigating the river in a safe but exciting way, but making us laugh, giving a tour of the canyon, and throwing in extras like tea cups and cliff jumping and a swim party. We had kids from 6years old and up and they were empowered feeling like they had accomplished a hard thing (even though it was mostly our guide;) ). They also took pictures for us so we didn't have to worry about trying to capture the memories ourselves! We also did some of the ropes and adventure courses. Again, I was thrilled at how they accommodated younger children, giving them opportunities to be brave and feel accomplished. The different activities were challenging but doable enough to feel stretched, but not frustrated. Perfect balance. Definitely recommend! We will be back! read more

If you are traveling north or southbound on I-15, this is a MUST DO activity! Stopped in with my 4 brothers while driving from Las Vegas back to Salt Lake and had an incredible time. The entire staff were kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our river guide was an expert and pointed things out all along the way. Great activity for adventure seekers or families just looking to experience the outdoors. After the rafting we went and did the ropes course and zip lines. Highly recommend!! They also took pictures of our group at multiple points along the river so we can hold onto the memory and experience forever. read more

Loved everything about my experience at Big Rock Adventure! We went river rafting and the guided were the best! They made me feel safe, especially when I fell out of the raft. They are very knowledgeable and shared lots of fun facts and stories that made the ride so much more fun. The length is wonderful, a 2 hour long ride and we even got to stop and go cliff jumping! Also, the tubing was very fun. And the guides recommended some very fun hikes to do. I went for the weekend with some friends and it was AMAZING! We started out at the hot springs Friday night, slept the night in a cabin, then went rafting in the morning, then the adventure course, then tubing, then zip lining. The fun never stopped. The zip lining was cool because I was involved in it myself, it was a lot more interactive than other zip lines I've been on and that made it for fun. We had a group of about 11 friends that went to Big Rock Adventure. We did the Zip Tour first. I am personally terrified of heights. I let them know and all of the staff were very helpful in making me feel comfortable going. They let me go at my own pace and have fun with my friends. We also went white water rafting. It was my first time, and I would definitely go again! Our guide was so fun! He told great stories and talked about our surroundings. I went here with my friends this last weekend and it was the most fun! We did ziplining and whitewater rafting but there were also other options on their website. The staff were some of the most involved and relaxed and really cultivated a relaxed but exciting environment. It's great for church or club groups or even just family and friends. Went with a large group of girls and everyone had a blast friendly staff, very accommodating, and helpful. Explained what you needed to do and made it fun even though a few of the girls and leaders were a little scared. Have you time to swim and showed you how to help people back into the boat!!! We took a youth group of 29 kids and 5 leaders and they did an amazing job accommodating our large group! The boys had a blast and the owner and guides were friendly and fun and obviously love their jobs.
