We were sat near the window and our server was Penny who was excellent. Penny constantly checked in with us and we were never left wait for service. When it came to ordering wine/cocktails, we were immediately put off by the price of wine. The bottles have an approximate 75% mark up on retail. Way overpriced. You don't see these prices even in the most expensive of steakhouses in my opinion. A glass of wine was the price of a bottle at retail. We elected to go with cocktails. For appetizers, we ordered the Wild Mushroom Brie & Ciabatta. $19 Seared Brie Cheese, brandy glazed belle mushrooms, balsamic reduction, fig chutney; served with Ciabatta toast points. This was good. Cowboy Calamari. $19 Breaded Flat iron sirloin steak bites, fried; served with gravy. I was so looking forward to these but I couldn't even taste the meat.....at all! They were so overly breaded and the steak cut so thin that we felt we were just eating the breading. The gravy was tasty but we couldn't finish the steak bites as we just didn't taste any steak. We split a Cedar Room Wedge. $16 Iceberg, bacon bits, tomatoes, cucumbers, blue cheese crumbles; served with dressing of choice. They split it on two plates and basically did a deconstructed salad. It was fine. After not having a great experience with the food and prices of their wine, we elected to leave and skip the dinner. I must admit I have never been served a bad burger. I will say however that the wings went from great at opening and have gone up and down ever since and the appetizers are very pricey for poor quality appetizers. A few nights ago we asked for chili garlic wings on the menu. We were told by the waiting staff that they were frustrated with the back end staff because they kept removing flavors that no one was ordering and not telling the waiting staff. They would typically have to take the order back and THEN be informed by the cook staff that the flavor had been taken off the menu. The chili garlic flavor was apparently one of the casualties. We also heard an excuse that someone didn't put the flavors in the "new pos" and that new menus should be there any day now. The special for the night was an all-you-can-eat boneless wing buffet for $12.99. I was excited to see what they had to offer but immediately let down when I found out that it was basically a glorified chicken nugget buffet with different sauces. It didn't look appetizing at all. When we received our wings the mild buffalo wings had sauce on them but the garlic parmesan wings had no sauce and looked like they had been under a warming lamp for at least 30 minutes. They were not cooked well at all and I was really disappointed. We ended up having to ask for garlic parmesan sauce because we couldn't taste the garlic or parmesan at all on our wings. When my father-in-law arrived late he also ordered the mild buffalo wings but these were bone-in. Once again the presentation was quite terrible and there was almost no sauce slathered over them. He also had to get extra sauce from the waiting staff to make things right. The waiting staff for our table disappeared for a good 20 minutes and we couldn't get any other waiter/waitress' attention until our waiting staff returned. By the time they got the extra sauce my father-in-law had 2 wings left of the 8 he originally ordered and by that time they were cold. To top things off the waitress did not include any of our drinks on our ticket. Previous experiences that sway my opinion include being completely forgotten about after we were seated for 20-30 minutes with no wait staff in sight until we finally got up to find someone to ask us what we wanted to drink as well as disagreeing with waiting and management staff about what a "dry rub" actually is only to realize after 3 different staff looked at our wings that what we were delivered was wrong and wasn't a dry rub. I'm not sure what it takes to deliver a consistent food service in North Platte but ever since the very beginning Wild Bills seems to have not gotten the formula right. I want to be proven wrong because I would love to have a really good wing joint with a lot of tv's and a bar in North Platte but I have never been able to consistently recommend Wild Bills. Hopefully one of these days they will get the recipe for consistent service and food figured out.

A large event space sits just off of the tasting room, and would be a lovely setting for a wedding reception - the windows face out to their vineyard! There is also a gazebo north of the building, I assume for outdoor weddings when the weather permits it. Is it ultra-luxurious? Well, no...but it doesn't have to be out here. It's modern and clean, and an oasis in an area that is grossly underserved in the craft beer and wine market. I applaud them for trying to bring something different to the community and surrounding areas! We tried a flight of their beers, and a selection of their wines. While none of their beers were home runs for me, I'd definitely go back to see what else they come up with. The Oktoberfest Märzen was probably my favorite. Their wine on the other hand? Terrific!
