Saw this new spot pop when I was at Auto wash (you get a 10% discount if you have the Auto wash app BGW) up and had to check it out--always down to support local BBQ. I grabbed the ribs since they were hot and ready, and they came through. Tender, juicy, legit flavor. Could've used a little more salt for my taste, but nothing major. The pull was perfect--meaty without falling apart in your hands. It's got that backyard smokehouse vibe, and you can tell they know what they're doing. Since this is a newer business I'm not going to completely shoot them down but it's not my type of bbq. I've had so much bbq and have made so much bbq that friends and family consider me a guru. Having had all regions of bbq including while living in Hawaii and Hawaiian bbq. Positives: Friendly when ordering and getting the order. Fast service Meat was smoked excellently Packaging was superb Negatives: Need some type of sauce. None was included and didn't see any available. Rice was plain Coleslaw needs sugar or some other sweetener. I expected there to be options like pulled pork or brisket. They did have ribs but didn't get any. Meat was great, I had the pork belly and it was great. Tender and very flavorful. Still need to have some type of sauce though. Glad I didn't get chicken since I'd would definitely need sauce for that. Rice is odd and boring for bbq. I'd rather not have rice at all but it came with the combo. Give me an option for something else like fries, tots or beans. Coleslaw needs sweetness to bring out the flavor. Tasted like mayo covered cabbage. The food truck looks newer and I completely appreciate they smoke all their meats. I also appreciate they had tables and seating right next to the truck. Overall, I would get more meat if there was an option for that, I wouldn't get the combo because I don't think white rice goes well with bbq unless it's Hawaiian or Korean bbq. read more

We frequent the car wash and have seen the big red bbq truck parked in front of the liquor store for some time. We finally saw that they were open and decided to give them a try today. We called in for the specials and offerings and decided to get two of each. The man who put in the order was very nice. The spicy chicken sandwich on homemade sourdough bread was delish! The chicken was moist and full of flavor. Sausage was great too. The coconut rice was good, love the subtle coconut flavor. Coleslaw was crunchy and full of flavor as well. I'm glad we live close because Big Red BBQ will definitely be in our rotation. read more

Willie and Team and putting out some great BBQ. The coconut rice combined with the meat was amazing (pork belly was amazing). Highly recommend everything they are making and can't go wrong with supporting local business with a passion for BBQ. The meats are really good!! 4+ star for sure. My concern though and the reason for the three-star rating is the fact that, if you want any barbecue meat, your only option is to get a combo. I really don't want to be forced to have to have rice (boring) that comes with a combo, or be forced to have coleslaw which is a 3 star, and be forced to have a soda every time you're in the mood for just a few ribs. Service is quick though and the location seems to be convenient to get in and out of. read more

This is the second week on a Thursday that we have stopped and got this awesome bbq. Last time we got the 3 meat and the meat was falling off the bone on the ribs, the pork belly was delicious and the chicken was so good and juicy (I'm not a big fan of chicken). This week (yes on a Thursday) we had to try their grilled cheese. We got the pesto grilled cheese, the spicy sausage grilled cheese and the 2 meat combo with the chicken (I requested this specifically) and the pork belly. When I say it's the best grilled cheese I'm not joking! The pesto grilled cheese was delicious with the tomato and not over powered with pesto. The spicy sausage has a kick but was so goood we couldn't stop chowing down! If you're around and need some good bbq (hard to find in Denver) check out this place. They are awesome here and we are glad to make this our new weekly grub spot! read more

Food is uniquely amazing for BBQ. Smoked chicken grilled cheese had Smokey chicken and tasty cheese. Fabulicious. Chicken was moist, pork belly melts in mouth, and spicy sausage is required eating. Can't wait for bigger menu when the restaurant opens. read more

I have driven by multiple times a week but they never looked open or whatever? I been wanting to try it. Anyway they just so happened to leave a flyer on my door yesterday and I live around the corner. So we had it tonight for dinner. The coconut rice... amazing! Best rice I wanted more! I had the chicken and bf had the pork belly. Beyond delicious and perfectly seasoned and so juicy. The waffles were so delicious. I didn't like the Cole slaw it was like it was missing something. But everything else was amazing! I lived in Tennessee for years and this is way better bbq than anything I've ever had in Memphis! Definitely try it, this will be a weekly regular dinner for us. read more

#fatkidapproved, I was literally craving barbecue. Driving down jordan road.I saw this sign that said big red barbecue yesterday, i drive up to the location and I see this curious food truck. But the smell dragged me right to the front. Spoke to a very nice ginger man. Told me about his food how he puts love into it. I ordered the combo platter came with a little bit of everything and water to drink. So I got the ribs.The pork belly and the hot sausage. OMFATKIDS GAWD. They need to have another word for succulent. Pork belly just pulled apart with my fingertips. It's super tender, very flavorful, nice clean. Spice rub on them beautiful smoke. Ribs extra tender, sausage a revelation. Coleslaw nice and tangy flavorful, barbecue sauce was not necessary. The spice rub was just glorious his mac and cheese is like a stuffed manicotti lasagne, really good ten out of ten would recommend. I will definitely be coming back.
