Fortunately, Sierra from corporate reached out after I raised concerns. They were very kind, professional, and apologetic, and helped us mediate the issue. That effort and understanding meant a lot and helped turn the situation around. I hope the company can kind John a different role that does not require him to interact with customers.

He then agrees to a pay and vacate so I had to have my belongings all out by 5 next day. I almost had everything out asked for a lil more time he calls cops on me and now I keep trying to get a hold of him to please let me pay to get rest of my stuff out but won't respond. Also nobody should be living there and I pointed out to him people living in there motor homes on property he acted surprised he's probably making side $.

I almost don't know how to write this review, and the biggest reason why is that I feel like I…read morewould not be able to do my experience with Sierra College Self Storage any justice. Here it goes... Let's start with the fact that I had called SCSS on New Years Eve at approximately 12:30 pm, and I had come to discover that the office had closed about 30 minutes prior for the holiday. They offered to stay and wait for me to show me around. I had declined, but the offer itself was very generous! I had told them I would be back that week... Later that week, we had stopped by to take a tour of the place. Very, very, very, very clean! It was like it was a brand new facility. I had known about this facility for some time and remember when it had opened what seems like a decade ago and it still looks like it had just opened. The security features of the facility are top notch for its price level! I loved how each unit has fire sprinklers... you may say "Well what if your stuff gets wet?" I would rather it get wet than get burned, at least you can still tell what it was! The facility is well laid out, and they even make sure that plastic mats are laid down in each unit to minimize moisture! That's huge! In my opinion, the most important aspect of a storage unit is the management. I have yet to meet his wife, but Sonny is on another level of service. He is so nice, super accommodating, easy to talk to, and he runs a tight ship! When we signed for the storage unit, it was raining A LOT and was gusty, yet Sonny jumped into his cart and immediately cleaned out our unit and dried it off and left towels for us so that we could dry anything we needed. He really made us feel right at home from the very beginning. I can't say enough good things about this man. I have opted to bring in a check for all of my payments rather than opting for automatic payments so that I can catch up with Sonny and the rest of his staff.

If you want your personal items to be safe, DO NOT RENT A UNIT AT THIS FACILITY!!!…read moreThere have been at least 5 burglaries since October 2024, you can verify this at https://communitycrimemap.com/ The advertised individual unit alarms do not appear to be functional (they are supposed to sound if someone accesses your unit and you are not keyed onto the premises...). Furthermore, there are NO cameras in the halls of the non-climate controlled area, making it extremely easy for thieves to conceal their actions. In the case of the burglary to my unit, Management and Police have been unhelpful so far. Avoid all of the time and money spent getting your stuff back and rent elsewhere, at least at a place with cameras inside the facility.

Upon moving out of my unit, I was informed they "do not prorate the bill on the way out, just on…read morethe way in." So in other words, they are charging for a period of 23 days of this month without providing any services. That is theft and it's disgusting. It's my money for 23 days in exchange for nothing. It's also a conscious, calculated business choice. Their calculation can factor in 1-star reviews, then. I urge all Trojan storage users to give 1-star reviews for this this reason. The employee that informed me of this theft asked "is that ok?" lol. No, it's very not ok. But of course, her hands are tied and she can't do anything about it, because it's an on-purpose, calculated, anti-consumer policy. A remedy would be as follows: 1) refund the money stolen from me for these 23 days, 2) change the policy for all Trojan Storage users so that you no longer charge for services that aren't even rendered (in other words, you need to pro-rate on the way out), and 3) issue a public apology for this embarrassingly grotesque, greedy behavior.
