7:30 am on a Thursday in Santa Rosa…read more.. My truck broke down on the way to make a delivery... AAA towed it (and me) to Coogler's on a recommendation from a friend who knows these guys. Stressed? You know it! Concerned about the work that would be done and how long it would take and what it would cost? Absolutely! Who isn't stressed out when their car breaks down, and they're going to a new auto mechanic??? Greeting me in the lobby were three of the nicest guys who just got into work and were in a better mood than I was... Things were looking up already... Jeff was my repair coordinator, and he immediately put me at ease and let me know that they would do everything they could to get me back up and running ASAP. I quickly booked a rental truck and Ubered to the rental location to get it and bring it back to swap the goods and get back on track. One of the technicians (Scott maybe?) helped me make the swap (above and beyond? Yup!) Quick communication on Coogler's part with some texts and emails told me they had found the problem and were on the case. Estimated time to repair? End of today or tomorrow at the latest. That's fast, I thought... Good news too because I've got more deliveries coming up. 'Tis the season... Fast forward ~4 hours and I'm getting a call from Jeff telling me my truck was ready to pick up (pun intended). What?!?!?! 4 hours and it's done!!! Got back to the rental shop, got one of their guys to take me back to Coogler's, and was back in my truck at 1:30 pm. Since then, a couple of genuinely concerned calls and emails asking if everything is still going well with the truck. Normally, when I do business with someone, they only call to ask if we can do more business. This was actual follow-up and quite refreshing. Will I work with Coogler's again? You bet I will! And if you've been looking for a dependable auto mechanic who's going to do a good job of both fixing your car AND being pleasant to work with, you should too!

I specifically asked if it would work, and Chris told me, "I don't see why not." Based on that conversation, I ordered the tires. I left my truck at the store all day, hoping to have them installed. Unfortunately, the tires arrived late, which I understand was outside the store's control. I made another appointment for the following day, drove back to the store, checked in, and waited about 25 minutes before being told the tires didn't meet the load requirements for my truck and they would not install them. To be fair, the staff did take the time to look into other tire sizes and brands and even contacted another store, but they were unable to find an acceptable alternative. My frustration isn't that they refused to install the tires if they didn't meet the proper specifications--that was the right decision. My frustration is that this should have been determined before the tires were ordered and before I made multiple trips to the store. A little more attention to detail on the front end would have saved everyone a lot of time and frustration. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and based on what I experienced, I can't recommend the Cleveland Ave location.

The next morning Dylan called me and let me know they would not have time to do the diagnostic that day but would try. They weren't able to but did get it taken care of early the next day and called me around 9:00 am. Total engine replacement!!!! Say it ain't so! However, Dylan went on to tell me that he had several customers take their Hyundai back to the dealer where it was covered under an extended warranty and gave me the information I would need to take it up with them. What a roller coaster. Luckily, I was still covered under the warranty, and it is in the dealers' hands now. Pray for me! Hopefully I won't have further vehicle issues, but I know where I want to go if I do! Thank you GG!

I had an inconsistent vibration while driving at freeway speeds. It would go away for a little…read morewhile and come back. My first thought was that it was a loose sound deadening pad in the tire because it was inconsistent. I went to a local small business tire shop in Novato and explained my problem. I asked them to dismount the tires and check the pad. Instead, they just balanced the tire and sent me on my way. Needless to say, the problem remained. Same story at another local tire shop. I made two visits and they still refused to dismount the tire and inspect it. Both places charged me for a balancing. Finally I took it to America's Tire. There, Kevin helped me out and immediately dismounted the tire and found the loose foam pad. He put it back together and balanced the tire. Problem solved! It was very frustrating not being heard by the other tire shops, but Kevin was familiar with the problem and helped me out. I truly appreciate a business that listens to their customers.

When I arrived, they took my car right away since I had already prepaid and scheduled my appointment. Everything was done super fast, about 45 minutes total. Kevin was very helpful, and George at the front desk was especially kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. You could tell he really knew his stuff and was happy to help. I drive a German car, and while I'm happy with the new tires and feel much safer driving now, the reason I'm not giving five stars is because when I left, one of my sensors was going off. Their system showed that I needed to drive for about 20 minutes for it to reset. I ended up setting a timer on my phone and driving around until it cleared, which it eventually did, but I was also running low on gas, so the whole thing was a bit stressful. Before leaving, I wanted to make sure the sensor was accurate, but it ended up being something I had to follow up on over the phone with Kevin later, which was fine, but when you're spending over $1,000, that's the kind of thing that would be nice to have double-checked before sending someone on their way. Especially with more particular cars like German vehicles that have lots of sensors. That said, I really appreciate that they offer free tire rotations every 5,000-7,000 miles, and the team works fast and efficiently. Overall, I'm happy with my tires and would come back. One small recommendation: one of the bathrooms had a broken sink, and there wasn't any hand sanitizer available. With so many people using the restroom, it would be great to have that fixed. All in all, a solid place with good pricing, friendly staff, and efficient service -- just a couple of details that could be improved.

The workers are always friendly and helpful like I said I never wait in line cause I normally go in at 9 AM. The store is clean and well cut like I said it just seems smaller and like in a weird order I can't explain. I do prefer the Santa Rosa one it's just busier and further away. I come here a lot to get pizzas for parties and for my daughter's school celebrations. The pizzas can't be beat for the price. Everyone in the food court is always nice and helpful only one time my pizzas weren't ready on time but it seemed like they were having some sort of difficulty that day in general all the other times have been a great experience.

On our way to the cashier, I connected with my other half, and she found a couple of Levi's pants she liked. Between the sale items and a few unexpected finds, it turned out to be a productive stop.

Miguel was very responsive to all of my questions, even on the weekend and evenings. He was incredibly helpful with helping me decide on the options I was considering. In the end, I went with his suggestion. I also had him replace my horn that was dying (he founds lots of corrosion probably due to me living next to the coast) and hardwire my front and rear cameras. All the work was done quickly and at super reasonable pricing! FYI Miguel only does installation and doesn't provide any products, but will suggest products for you to get. Highly recommend him!

I have been dealing with Big O for several decades. Tires for a number of my vehicles. Most recently have been bringing my car for mechanical repairs. They are competitive with a number of mechanics I employ. Importantly the can get your vehicle right in, and have it done by the end of the day. I tell all my friends about their service. Erik the face of the operation is a "scholar and a gentleman ". Terrific place! Well it's been a year and I have had a new and terrible experience at crap O tires. No one should ever go to these crazy new owners. My son Jaime took his car in for a charging problem. The put in an alternator,belt and battery in wanted an outrageous $900. Dropped $250. And then the fun began. My son paid them and they would not release the car. In fact they put it up on a lift and parked a customer's non functional truck in front of the bay. They said one tire was showing cords. And needed some bushing work. They would not release the car for safety reasons. They would if I paid $3000 for new tires and mechanical work. I have never heard of such a thing. After I took the paint off the walls they threatened to call the cops. I said go ahead. They then threatened to tell the police that a back tire was showing cord and he would be red flagged and pulled over and they would not let him drive. I had to have his car towed away. The troll behind the counter who dipped snuff and spit into a cup. ran out when we were trying to get the truck out of the way. He yelled we don't need your shit business and was threatening. I asked what the f..k he was going to do about it and he backed off. The tuck had to be jacked up and rolled out of the way. That was pretty funny. It took about twenty minutes to figure it out and get it out of the way. Stay away from this place and JP the new owner. The parts were outrageously inflated. JP offered a hundred dollars off the next job. AS IF. These jerks will not make in Sebastopol with these business practices. Even the tow truck operator said warns people not to go there. read more

I cannot recommend Big O Tires highly enough! My daughter's Subaru AC stopped working while she was living out of town, and she had no idea where to take it. We were bracing ourselves for a major expense, fully expecting the compressor had gone out. Edward, the owner, and his crew were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They thoroughly diagnosed the problem and discovered it was only a compressor gasket - not the expensive compressor replacement we feared. Their honesty alone speaks volumes. Many shops would have seen an opportunity to oversell unnecessary repairs to an out-of-town customer, but not Big O Tires. The professionalism and expertise displayed by Edward and his team were exceptional. They took the time to explain everything clearly, completed the repair efficiently, and charged a fair price. It's so reassuring to find a mechanic you can trust, especially when your child is depending on them. If you're looking for honest, skilled, and professional auto service, Big O Tires is the place to go. Edward and his crew are top notch - they've earned a customer for life! read more

just writing a follow up to my service at Big O Tires! I had some new tires put on a year or so ago and went in for the regular maintence package, rotate, balance, and alignment, car was pulling a little right. Chris helped me out and he was great. They found that the right front tire was low on air hence my pull to the right, but had them check the alignment anyway....Alignment was ok and they didn't even charge me for it......saved 115 bucks.....alignment price for BMW....Can't say enough about the great service I received at this shop since it has been re-opened...I do recommend to see CHRIS he has been there for a while and is always there when I come in....dont even know if he has a day off. Raise your hand if you don't like going to tire stores. Usually, when you go in for a couple of Firestones, they have a bag full of tricks that cause you to spend around twice what you had in mind for the House Brand. And the guys are grumpy to boot. The cure for all this is to try Big O Tires on the 116 in Sebastopol. It's a laid back place where the crew is friendly as can be. Ive been in there more than a few times over the years and they've always treated me well. No high pressure here. And how about this one? The other morning, I woke up with a big, ol' nail in my front tire. So I took it down to Big O. An hour later I went back (I cant stand ANY tire waiting rooms with bad coffee and nothing to read except Car and Driver) and picked it up. When I went to pay for it they said, "It's on the house." "Say, what?" When I asked "how come" the boss said, "Its Memorial Day". That works for me! Seriously, try Big O. read more

Thank you so much big o Sebastopol, you're a real life saver! Woke up this morning and found that I had a flat tire on my car. After panicking I remembered that I had gone to see these guys a few months ago for an air pressure check, and they were very kind and accommodating, so I figured I'd call them today. They provided me with the number to a local tow company, who was also very good, to come and help put the spare on. Once I got to the shop, I found that they were really busy. They reassured me that everything would be ok, and they would get it done promptly. They offered coffee, wi-fi, and I took a seat in the lovely waiting area. About 45 minutes later, they called my name and said I was all set to go, wow 45 minutes on a busy day like that was remarkable! I paid and drove off feeling great. So I went in on a Friday evening and needed a tire. The guys were super nice and got right on it. As they were changing the tire I explained to one of the techs that the alignment was off and that's why the tire had balded. I asked whether he thought the tire was going to last until the week following for me to fix the alignment or if I needed to do it now. He was really honest and said that if I waited that long and put that many more miles on the tire I was probably going to end up buying a new one anyway! So at 5.30PM on a Friday I asked them to repair my alignment. Then I asked if they could tack on a oil change. Long story short: I was out of there in just over an hour and I got loved up by a big sweet dog! Way to go guys! read more

I have been taking both of my vehicles there for a couple of years now, and I have always received awesome service! The managers, Jon, and Blake especially, have gone out of their way for me, over and over again. I'm a local business owner in Sebastopol, and they know how dependent I am on my vehicles! They always do their best to keep the price reasonable, and do great work. Just last week, both of my cars broke down, back to back and I was in a panic! Jon and Blake worked hard to make sure that all the repairs got done fast, and worked with me on the cost too. I couldn't be more grateful! Thank you so much to all the guys at Big O! I never write reviews for anything but I just felt compelled to do so after Eric, Troy, and Daniel created one the best customer service experience ever, with an auto repair shop. They were on time with both my appointments, fast, and efficient. They took the time to answer all my questions which were many, as I had brought in an old car which I had just bought. They thoroughly checked out the car free of charge, and gave me a prioritised list of items needing attention. However, I never felt pressured in any way, just excellent professional information. And with the Groupons specials they applied to the cost, I got a super deal as well ! What more is there to say ?!!! read more

Was in over the weekend to get a new set of tires for my Lexus, and had a wonderful experience. Blake sold me the set of tires, but I also dealt with Billy and team. These guys really know their stuff. Everyone is very sweet, and accommodating. Ordered the tires Friday, they said they would be in Saturday, and sure enough I got a phone call early Saturday morning saying they had arrived. As soon as i got in, they were right on it. I've never done business with Big O before, ever! I knew the tires I wanted and they could get them, they were competitive and beat the lowest price I had. They ordered them without a deposit and a few days later when I was ready I made an appointment and they got me in for a custom 4 wheel alignment on my 2016 Z51 Corvette. They worked with me to get the right alignment and allowed me to watch and track their progress. I'd highly recommend using them as they were service oriented and very accommodating not to mention competitive pricing and I'll do business with them again! read more

Called in to make an appointment, and the man who answered the phone was very helpful. I could not come in that day, so I made it for the next day early in the morning. Showed up 30 minutes early, hoping I could get in and boy was I surprised. Not only was I able to get in early, they had my car done so quickly! Blake was the gentleman that helped me, and I could not thank him enough. This was my first visit here, I've been to the Santa Rosa location before, and I will never go back. I received fast and fantastic service on my Volvo from Ron Jensen. Service Advisor. He was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to fix my front headlight as soon I as I showed up, even though it took some doing on his part to change the bulb because Volvo's car design makes it difficult! Was here a couple days ago, and had a great experience! Very friendly and knowledgable. I have been to Mcleas in Santa Rosa a couple of times, and after giving big o Sebastopol a try, I will not be going anywhere else. The store manager Blake was up front with me, and even took me out to check out my car while it was up on the hoist. He is very honest and nice. I recently went to big o tires in Sebastopol for a basic oil change, i have been here in the past and delt with Billy he was great super helpful! This time i went and Blake helped me, i felt he was taking advantage of me and was talking down to me. he was very unprofessional and rude. he tried to sell me 1400$ in stuff! which i do not believe because the car only has 56,000 miles! Been there a few times with 2 different vehicles and I guess I'm having a hard time recommending them for a couple of reasons. For one I believe they try a little too hard to make money. And for another, I recently went in for an oil change and tire rotation. While watching from inside the store, the tires were never touched. You don't always get what you pay for. I think their shop in Petaluma might be better. read more

If you want to get jerked around with prices and don't care about being treated like a piece of road junk, this is the place to take your car! They quoted me one price and then a higher price when I was ready to pay. In my opinion, this is the worse place to take your care in Sonoma County. I had a better experience with my root canal. Don't waste your time with these guys. They simply don't give a damn. read more

I came here for an oil change a tire rotation and to have a nail removed from a tire…read more So the very next day my tire sensor reads 25 psi (this was the tire that they removed the nail from !!!) the rest of the tires were 35 psi like they should be So I take my truck back in today to ask him if they can check sensor and they said the sensor is no good. They said it was a coincidence that it just happened to happen !!!????? do you fall for that one? I don't think anybody would !!!These sensors have batteries and they go out, but the day after the service was done just too coincidence for me took over an hour and a half and $120 to replace the sensor Have you ever felt ripped off??!! That's how I'm feeling right now! I'm thinking they could at least not charge me the $50 labor? I mean I get it. It takes them five minutes to takeoff the tire and put the sensor in and put it back together, but I was there for well over an hour Also the guy that I talked to when I first walked in there said they didn't have any sensors and then the manager came out and said that they did so I'm just not filling the honesty here Guess I'm looking for a new local tire services for our four vehicles

They use good oil filters and good quality oil. You can walk over to the Costco complex nearby to pass the time. The guy in the office was very friendly and knowledgeable. Seemed like they were doing quite a few larger repairs on older cars: things like brakes and rotors; replacing worn suspension parts; repairing leaks, etc. Thankfully I don't need any of those repairs yet, but I will keep this shop in mind when the time comes for bigger repairs. One thing is that they don't do tire installation, I think because it's a smaller space.

I had booked an appointment for an oil change and thought it made sense to have it towed there. I was told that the battery needed replaced as well as the alternator. I was surprised that my bill was $2100.00 but not having experience in this kind of work paid it. In checking with several people in the business , all thought this was excessive. I had a problem a few days later with the oxygen sensor and took my car towed Bill and Jays in Petaluma . I was afraid of what my cost might be and since I am on a fixed income I had to shop around. Bill and Jays was very responsible and they were able to repair it the next day. I am sorry that I had to opt out of aaa repair but they aren't in my budget anymore.

Aren't they the owner & operator of the buiness. AAA took over the business of Mcleas Tire Automotive on Piner Rd Santa Rosa CA, because they were near bankruptsy during the covid pandemic. And that the employees were AAA members. Well these other auto repair businesses (coogler's,wayne &sons,local heroes auto repair,firestone) are also AAA members. Perhaps, AAA should take over there businesses as well. For future auto repairs that my mobile mechanic(NorthCal Auto Mechanic) can't do, I will take my car to Coogler's on Piner Rd. Atleast they have a contact page on there website and Facebook page. Whereas, AAA Tire&Automotive does not.
