I always have such a pleasant experience at Big O Tires off Fourth Street in Santa Rosa. Chris and his team are always so professional, friendly, and helpful. I bought my tires here about two years ago, and recently my back driver's side tire kept losing pressure. I filled it with air at Chevron, but my car continued sending an error message to my dashboard. Then this morning, while I was driving to work, a few more warning lights came on. I decided to risk driving straight over to Big O without an appointment. They were so nice about it -- they grabbed my keys, told me they would take care of it, and sent me on my way. About an hour later, my car was ready! They repaired the tire, filled everything with the proper air pressure, and handed me a $0 invoice. That kind of service is exactly why I keep coming back. No hassle, no trying to sell me something I didn't need -- just genuinely great customer service. Chris and his team have earned my trust, and I'll definitely continue bringing my car here. Tony is the newish manager at front desk. He needs customer service training, real bad. Had a 3pm appt. Trying to check in, I stood in front of him at desk until 340pm because he kept answering phone calls and helping said customers instead of putting them on hold and finishing with me first. Made me feel very unimportant and ignored. Then he came to the waiting room and said, nope you have major problems, oil leaking all under the engine, its everywhere, dent in oil can (which was confirmed misinformation)...Can't do an oil change, bye, here your keys, it's in parking lot. No help to me whatsoever! Didn't even want to help me one bit! Um, huh??? I asked for an explanation and to see what he is talking about. I was not aware of this. I asked that it be put back up so I can see it. He asked back tech mechanic to put it back up so I can see the "way messed up" issue. And with attitude. Now the good part.... I would recommend back mechanical techs Luis and Steve, they were so very kind and so very helpful. After I got back into the work area to see my car, luis was awesome. Explaining everything, showing me, giving advice....steve was awesome as well. They gave me advice and filled up my oil so I could drive away and figure out plan b. Was asked to report my experience with bad part to corporate because its not a good fit. Will Def do that for them. One star because of Tony. 5 stars for Luis and steve! read more

Im not one to write reviews, but my experience at Big O Tires was so positive that I had to! I usually drag my feet to do my oil changes or any car stuff. Tony was so kind, patient and friendly. He was honest and sincere, and when things weren't looking right with my car he took the time to take me under and show me what was going on and what I had to do about it. SENIORS STAY AWAY FROM BIG -O-TIRES My wife took her truck into Big O Tires in Santa Rosa for an oil change. She called me from the store and told me the service guy said the truck needs new tires. I immediately went to the store expecting to see a tire that was badly worn or damage. When I got there I checked the tires on my wife's truck. They were evenly worn with more than 4/32 of inch of tread with no cracking or buldges. I went into the store, found my wife and asked her "who says you need new tires ?" The guy behind the service desk said "me." When I asked him why he said they were almost 9 years old and the side walls are cracking. I told him that I just looked at the tires and there was no cracking. I invited him to show Me the cracking. He said "I don't need to because they are 9 years old and we won't work on them." (We were not there for tires.) I told him he was full of s#*t. He said fine. Now we're not gonna change your oil. We took my wife's truck and had the oil changed elsewhere (and paid less). We then took her truck to another tire shop and they told us the tires were fine and did not need to be changed The service guy at Big O Tires saw an elderly woman and believed he could scare her into buying new tires. When he was called on it he lied about the age of the tires. Shame on Big O Tire. Sad because we have been taking our cars to Big O Tres for over 20 years and have bought no less than 6 sets of premium tires from them. We will never spend another nickel at Big-O-Tires. read more

I can't say enough positive things about my experience. We were from out of town and blew a hard to find radiator hose. Chris and Tony spent hours trying to get my car repaired and back on the road to get me home. They really bent over backwards to help and seemed genuinely concerned about my somewhat desperate situation, although they were busy and I didn't have an appointment. I am doubtful they even did an alignment my girlfriend just got an alignment at another shop and they said that on top of not fixing the alignment a lot of the bolts in the tires that big Os installed weren't tightened. I went and asked for a refund because I don't trust that they'll fix it right the second time since they couldn't the first time. read more

Awful customer service by the older guy in the front who checks you in. I called the day before, asking if they had availability for an oil change, tire rotation and told them I needed my alignment checked. They told me to come the next day at 3pm. I assumed this would be plenty of time for them to do an alignment, if it was needed. I check in, they check the maintenance code on my dash and told me I was due for oil change and spark plug replacement. I told the guy I had my spark plugs replaced already, so I just needed the oil change, tire rotation and alignment checked (and done if it was needed). He proceeded to tell me he was not going to do any of what I was requesting, without the code being cleared on the dash first by the person who replaced the spark plugs. I proceeded to tell him I really needed my oil changed and tire rotation at the minimum, because I had to drive to sac the next day and commute Mon-Fri. He refused to do it because they are a "repair shop" and "not how they operate" and apparently didn't have time do an alignment check/tire rotation, even if I went elsewhere for the oil change. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed in my experience, as this was my first time at this location. I used to work in an automotive shop and I know we never treated customers in that manner. 0/5 stars. Needless to say, I took my car to Firestone at coddingtown and had the best experience! This App needs a no Star option. To hell with these guys. Particularly the counter staff on this past Labor Day weekend. Blew a tire in Anchor Bay. That two hours from this location. We called to confirm they had the tire in stock. They claimed they did and come down anytime no appointment needed. We booked on online regardless for 1PM. Arrived twenty minutes early and was met by said counter person who rather than help, pretty much told us to split until his lunch was over at 1. No, let me set the tire over here. Just go, you need a work order first. Returned later and the ass decided he does have that tire suddenly. So all that way for nothing. No worries as America Tire hooked us up and out the door in less than 30 minutes. There is so much more to say about our experience but you get the idea! read more

The service is great. I stop in to get my tires pumped up every couple of months and they get on it right away and with a smile.

I asked for a tire replacement or patch, but the service was denied 40 minutes before closing. I understand we all want to go home, but a job is a job. I then went to Tire and Wheel Zone off of west college and got the issue handled within 10 minutes. I been with big o tires for the half of my lifetime, hopefully they get new employment soon. read more

Chris took care of my car with brand new tires, and redeemed my Yelp deal $50 for $100 off. The voucher went towards the wheel alignment. Before the rain, hubby advised to "get 'er done", so I drove up to Santa Rosa, hung out at the mall, which was more damage than Big O Tires. I had to get outta Macy's before I started shopping for furniture and makeup. This location is way bigger than the Marin one. Competent techs were on standby to get me back on the road again. All this took less than two hours! They are open on Saturdays, walk-ins are welcome, but make an appointment to make their lives easier. Made an appointment to get an alignment on my 25 ford maverick after noticing tire wear issues while rotating the tires myself.I had lowered my truck 10k miles ago and realized I needed adjustable camber bolts to aid in alignment.... I mentioned all this to the man at the desk as I dropped it off.I paid and took the truck around the block to see how it was and I noticed that if I held the wheel straight that the truck would drift to the right.... I walk back to the counter and I tell him my experience... he didn't offer to fix it on the spot so I assumed he didn't have time or didn't care... I set up an appointment for the following Saturday and showed up at 10 am because that's when the alignment guy showes up .... They open at 8 and didn't tell me the alignment guy was sick so I learned that at 10 ... it wasn't going to happen this Saturday... he told me to call on Monday to see if that works...... I decided to try a different local shop and he handled it in 40 minutes... it turned out perfect..... big o santa Rosa has no quality control and bad customer service... I own a business and if someone has to bring something back I drop what I'm doing and handle it.... I've been to every Big O in Sonoma County, and this one is hands down the best. The mechanics here are competent and thorough--I've never had a single issue after bringing my car in. But what really sets this place apart is Erik. The man is incredibly generous. I watched him help an elderly woman in her 80s who came in with repeated car troubles, and he didn't even charge her. He was patient, kind, and truly went above and beyond. Erik has also been more than fair with me over the years, and I trust him completely. I just stopped by Big O in Petaluma to get an estimate on getting an alignment on my Toyota. There estimate was $119.99 w/tax out the door. I said yes can you do it today they said yes. I was surprised because it was around lunch time. A couple of months ago I went to the Toyota Dealership because of a dealer recall. When they were done they handed me an estimate to get other things they followed wrong with my car. Most of the stuff were small things BUT they said I needed alignment on all 4 wheels and the estimate was for $2,507.00 w/tax. Now I find the difference between these two estimates pretty surprising. Being a woman i had been warned that many dealerships and private owned repair shops take advantage of women. Now I am a believer of that statement. So I am a very happy customer. Tried a bait and switch by telling my 21-year-old daughter that they had to replace all four tires instead of the one flat one, costing about seven times more than the original quote. I called 10 days prior to today to see if they install tires ordered from TireRack.com and they said they will. Called today to schedule a tire installation and they say they have now changed there policy and the tires have to be delivered directly to them. Now IU have 4 tires and have to go to a different tire instalation company. I will now take my business to a different tire company after doing business here for over 20 years. Got my truck alignment here 3 months ago. The guys giggled at the alignment I had on there before, so I figured they knew what they were doing. Within a month driving driving around town i got on the freeway at 60mph and I had a small amount of wheel wiggle, didnt think anything of it. Come 2 months later from that (today) the wheel alignment is totally out. I cant say anything about the tire install here, but I would go elsewhere for a wheel alignment. read more

Recently had my tires replaced (almost $2k) and the tech snapped a prong off my Audi center rim tire cap, haphazardly glued it back together, so it now looks like a child did it, but the kicker is they never informed me. Time for an update. I had tires put on my highlander about a year ago from here. It started out rocky but the mgr made it right. So I thought give them a good review. Well here is the problem. You buy a tire warranty that only they can service. But the problem is they don't have time to honor or service your warranty. So you can't use it. Then today I had to replace my back tires. Being an awd vehicle I had to replace all 4 tires. So I called big o and said that there tires are about a year old and still in great shape. I asked if they would discount the tires if I get 4 tires. I'm told nope. So I went to the old mcLea's tire shop (now aaa). I had great service A+. Will not be coming back to big-o. Ohh and for the Manager don't waste your time contacting me trying to get to make this right. I'm done with this company. read more

Big O Tires 872 4th St., Santa Rosa, CA My son had his oil changed approximately three weeks ago. He came home that evening and parked in the driveway. The next morning he went outside and to our dismay there was a huge oil leak approximately 2' x 5' - not good. My son called and explained what had happened. They said come on by and they would check it out. They mentioned to him that something was loose and needed tightening up which they did and the leak was fixed. We cleaned up the oil stain the best we could. Cat litter, degreaser, power wash, more degreaser, another round of power washing - no luck. Stain was still there. We spent 3+ hours cleaning up their mistake. I called and they said they would send somebody out the next day which they did. I was happy with their quick response. They used a degreaser with no luck. I have gotten the runaround ever since. Have been told numerous times the manager would call me back. Waited and waited. I called back several days later. Harmony, who is one of the employees there had been the primary contact person who has been great through this process, but said she didn't know why I'm not getting a phone call back by management? Not sure what to say to that? She mentioned that the managers told her to no longer get involved and that they would handle it. I wrote to customer service explaining the situation hoping that that would get a response. Nope! Last Friday I called and it was my lucky day... A gentleman by the name of Eric was in the shop who is apparently the district manager. He mentioned he knew what was going on with the oil stain and said he would stop by the next day after 1 PM or so but would call or text me when on the way... No calls, nada. That was a week ago. Last resort...It pains me to write a Yelp review that is not flattering, but I have exhausted all resources and am at my wits end. Big O? Can you hear me? Still waiting... In the meantime, every time I drive home and pull into my driveway, I am reminded that Big O tire has dropped the ball. Hoping that Big O tire will step up to the plate and make this situation right. The service here has become terrible in the last 2 years. Most of the associates will lie to you and say there are mechanical issues with your car. Every time they have, I have our family mechanic look at our car. Our mechanic could not find anything wrong with my car each time. It is just big o tires lying to you. They are trying to have you get work done with them that is not even needed. Just so they can make a quick $. Avoid this place unless you want to be scammed. read more

My husband brought my car into Big O the other day for a break check They tried to relieved us of $1250. He simply brought our car in for a front end alignment check and a brake check. Both are advertised as free and posted on the front glass door. Our car is a Lexus SUV 2016. It has 65K on her odometer. This is all part of her 60K mileage service. After waiting in their lobby for maybe twenty five minutes here comes the store clerk with the mechanic's recommendation. I need to replace all the brake rotors, new pads, my lines bled and new fluid added $1250 was the estimate he handed to me. I was suspicious about needing rotors at her mileage (she is a Lexus for heaven's sake) So, I got a second opinion from Les Schwab at Summerfield. Our brake pads had worn down 50% of their initial thickness to date and I should ckeck em next year. As it turns out, those rotors are designed to go all the way to 100K if treated right with scheduled maintenance. So, in this instance it was the simple math that exposed this attempted scam. When the man gets off the phone, he says no service for late customers. What a clown-- I will recommend any place over BIG O. Thieves - stolen designer glasses I brought by Escalade in for an oil change and put my CELINE SUNGLASSES in their case in the center counsel. I walked downtown to pass the time of the oil change. I waited over 2 hours for them to complete the job. I drove home and the next time I went to grab my sunglasses I opened the case to find them STOLEN. Called and spoke to the manager Eric who said he would watch back their cameras. He called and said he saw nothing (duh, camera's can't catch everything) and gave an email to contact the regional manager. Waited a week and have yet to hear back with any response. Sharing this story so this won't happen to you and hoping that the thief at their shop gets a wake up call that your unkindness is ugly. read more
