Not only do you get balancing and alignment in the rotation of the tires every six months, but also, the warranty on the tires is unmatched. After about 2 1/2 years, I miss, judged a curb and sliced The side of the front tire. I knew they had a no-fault "road hazard" warranty, but I was still surprised when it covered my own stupidity. They replace the damaged tire, No questions asked. And now two years later the replaced tire was damaged on its side, by my hitting another curb, and again, they replaced the tire with a brand new one. I certainly wasn't expecting them to replace the replacement tire. That was two years old, Since the original set of tires was bought outside of the warranty. My wife's 300 Series Mercedes has been driven infrequently during the past 3 years due to COVID19 and the nature of her business. It has about 6,000 miles to date and the tires are barely "broken in". Well this Wednesday in early December 2022 she was at a client's office and discovered she had a "flat tire" due to a huge screw embedded into the tire. She called me from Foster City to share the news and called AAA & Mercedes. She also discovered she didn't have a spare tire but her Pirelli tires were No flat type which ment she could drive slowly on them to our home in San Francisco. The next morning and called three well know tire merchants in close proximity to our home for best service and value. BIG O Tires costumer service representative Steven promptly took down the tire type, size and other information and he expected to have the tire ready for replacement later that day. At around 1:30 pm Steven called and said the tire was ready and too bring the car to the shop. I arrived and Steven promptly had my car in the rack. He then shared that they had ordered the wrong tire. Needless to say I wasn't thrilled. Steven reordered the tire and said it would be available the next day. Lawrence called around noon and said the new tire had arrived. I asked when they would be able to get me in? He said come by at 4 pm. I arrived promptly at 4:30 am and Lawrence had the car up on the rack. The Store Manager Francisco took very good care of me realizing the mistake and I was out the door in 31 minutes! Nice job! Called a day before and I spoke with Lawrence. I needed to get my tires changed and they were able to order it pretty quickly. I came in a day later around 8am on a Friday and they were able to take me in immediately. They said it will be done within 2 hours. They weren't lying about when it would be ready cause they called me a little before 2 hours to tell me it was ready for pickup! I changed all 4 tires, they checked my brakes, and aligned my wheels. It all came out to be around $1300. They also put in a new right sensor for free because their tech broke mine by accident. I'm glad they were forward with that info and did the right thing. I requested the oil change. I made an appointment and everything was on scheduled. Service very professional and quick/on time. After the complementary inspection Ury Lopez explained to me in details few things found by the mechanic. I needed to get new tire, take care of the front brakes and replaced cabin air filter. Ury presented to me the choices, recommendations and prices, without annoying pushing (like other places when they want you to buy something) also he told me about the discount coupons and offers from their website and at the end I used a $20 discount as well. Called a third time and luckily someone else answered, confirmed the car was in fact there, and it would be ready in an hour. I went in needing an alignment check and general car once over. The Big O worker said it would be $200. As I was sitting at the shop waiting for the check to start in my car I got to thinking that sounded a bit expensive. I asked the guy and he said the alignment check was actually free, but the general check would be more expensive. I could have accepted that, but he went on to say something along the lines of, "yeah, my employees need to eat and aren't you, as a woman, scared about the sounds your engine is making?". At that point I was about ready to take my car elsewhere. Icing on the cake was when I found out FireStone down the road would do a complete car check for less than $10. I got my keys and got away. I do not recommend this Big O shop. read more

So far, two of the four tires I purchased failed within the first six months of purchase. They were obviously defective tires and the corporate drones refused to help because that's the policy. It's fairly obvious these guys know they are selling an inferior and defective product that could kill or main their customers and are oh so polite. Kept me updated on my car and let me know the reason for the check engine light. Hate to leave a bad review for a local business but these guys refused to honor their warranty and repeatedly gave us incorrect information about claiming a Continental manufacturer's warranty on our tires. After 4 tries to get them to uphold either their Big O warranty or the manufacturer's, we called the manufacturer who sent us down to America's Tire down in Millbrae and we had no problem at all claiming the warranty and getting our tires replaced. Way better experience, beginning to end. Hard to know if this Big O location is intentionally dishonest or just don't know what they're doing, but given some of the other negative reviews on here I think it might be the former. I think I got taken for a little bit of a ride because I had from my count 1 bubbled tire and I walked out with 3. Also due to a slight confusion over my insurance deductible which I thought was $500, but ended up being $1000. So I paid $850 out of pocket for 3 new tires when honestly I could only see a bubble on one of them (the other was totally flat). Anyway lesson learned: drive better and know my insurance. read more

Way too long for basic things. Day 1: Took 2 hr wait to just look at a flat tire. They are able to show me where tire slashed in middle. Day 2: 11:30 drop off.. Told they are going to start immediately.. est. 1.5- 2 hr, Had a free tech. Twice as many people (techs, mechanics, svc people,) in shop. A bit after 4p got a text car finished. I appreciate the work done, but everything is extremely slow at this location. Also, paperwork sometimes incomplete or inaccurate. I've paid for a replacement plan they have... Bring in my paperwork and they can't see I've paid for the tire insurance. Thankfully the system did show that I had paid for insurance. I'm then told need an alignment, which is fine... (but $245 cost seems a bit high for an alignment). I guess nice cars... Have a way of continually costing MORE. read more

Very rude team and manager, after racing in Sonoma Raceway, I burned my front tires and needed set of new tires, Ferrari gave me a 2 week appointment so I found tire rack has same day delivery (which took them 2days). I happily chose big o tires to to change my tires and called them before head, they never asked me my car brand and just asked me tire size. I purchased a full set of tires in May of last year - while that wasn't an ideal, a bit of a bait and switch (they said they had the tires - which were on-sale - only to be advised subsequently that they weren't available and what was available wasn't on-sale. Ok, so as I had the appointment, we decided to proceed with their recommendations and got Perelli tires - which are a decent brand. Fast forward eight months, and we have a blow-out in one of our brand new tires - we only drive occasionally as we live in downtown San Francisco and driving tends to be more of a complication for most things. We had been advised when we purchased the tire of their Big-O Warranty. They talk a big talk - but when it comes down to it - they find any way out of it they can. When we called them, when the blow-out occurred (-side wall opposite the exterior of the car - which points to a flaw in the tire), they provided no support, didn't reference any of their roadside assistance, and any responsibility for repair. They said there was no replacement tire available and we would have to buy a different brand. This was not the level of service they promised in their Guarantee. I should point out most of the guarantee covers 3-years. With a simple google search we found the exact replacement tire and ordered it. A Big O team member said the cost to replace it would come at no charge - but when we arrived they said it was going now cost $50. So not only did Big-O make no reasonable effort to find a replacement - and we paid $180 for that, and then don't stand behind a replacement that THEY said was impossible to locate and paid then $50 to install it. I would say this bait and switch tactic is not good business bordering on fraud - and the Guarantee is a joke. They have no intention of meeting any of their obligations. STEER CLEAR. read more

I had my tires replaced here a few months ago. The service was efficient and fast. They had to order my tires as they didn't have the them in stock, it took one day to get them in. The whole replacement process took a couple of hours. Have no problems with the tires since I did not order the cheapest ones. read more

They told me I had to buy a new tire because there was a nail in it that was not repairable. I talked them into airing up my tire and I risked the 10 mile drive to America's tire in Millbrae given this would be a free replacement. Fortunately I made it safely with no issues. Someone from the store called me maybe around 5 pm and said the brand of tire I selected was on back order and he recommended another brand, so I asked him to send me a new quotation as I was walking on the street and hard to decide about an issue while crossing the road.
