Better Business Bureau Complaint Against Big O Tires - Vistancia Location (#4271)
Complaint Summary
I am filing this complaint because Big O Tires has refused to accept responsibility for damage that I believe occurred while servicing my vehicle and has failed to provide reasonable customer service or follow-up despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue.
On May 15, 2026, Big O Tires at the Vistancia location replaced two trailer tires and installed TPMS sensors on all eight tires between my truck and trailer. Prior to this service, I had experienced no problems with my truck's tires. The tires had been installed by Peoria Nissan 3/29/2025, had accumulated roughly 25,000 miles, and had undergone multiple documented tire rotations without any indication of damage or air leaks.
On 6/17/2026 after Big O performed the TPMS installation, I returned to my truck after it had been parked at Sky Harbor Airport and discovered the right front tire completely flat. Fortunately, my truck is equipped with an onboard air compressor, allowing me to inflate the tire enough to drive directly to Big O Tires.
Big O inspected the tire and stated they could not find a problem. At my request, they replaced the valve core to eliminate a simple potential cause. Unfortunately, the intermittent air loss continued.
On 6/23/2026 the tire again lost significant pressure. Because I had a business meeting and could not return to Big O, I took the truck to Pinnacle Nissan on 6/24/2026, where their technicians inspected the tire. They determined that the inside bead of the tire had been damaged, causing the intermittent leak. Due to the safety risk, they installed my spare tire and advised that the damaged tire should not be driven on.
On 6/24/2026 I returned to Big O Tires and spoke with store manager Steve Miller. Before conducting any meaningful investigation, he immediately denied responsibility. I explained that Big O was the last business to remove and reinstall the tire when installing the TPMS sensors and that I had experienced no tire problems prior to their service.
During our discussion, Mr. Miller attempted to locate my service records but claimed there was no record of my TPMS installation in their computer system. When I produced my original receipt, he acknowledged the work had been performed but still refused to accept responsibility or offer any assistance. Rather than investigating the damaged tire or working toward a resolution, I was simply told that Big O would not help.
On 6/25/2026 contacted Regional Manager Mike Williams, provided him with copies of my receipt and photographs of the damaged tire, and explained the entire situation. He indicated he would speak with the store manager and get back to me.
After several days passed without any response, I left multiple voice messages and text messages requesting an update on 6/29/2026. Those communications went unanswered. Only after I expressed my concern that this was a vehicle safety issue affecting my family did I receive a brief response stating that customer service would contact me. As of the date of this complaint, no one from Big O Tires has contacted me.
Because I could not safely continue driving on a spare tire indefinitely, on 6/30/2026 I had no choice but to purchase a replacement tire from Peoria Nissan at my own expense. Since replacing the damaged tire, the air leak has been completely eliminated. read more
