While the owner, Dave, is still there, I don't think he really runs the place anymore and lets all these new people he hired run it. And it's so obvious that they're not doing a good job. It's like a different mechanic shop now, same name. They don't communicate amongst eachother and the new guy behind the counter has lousy bedside manner. When I brought it in recently, they broke the driver's seat and was hoping I wouldn't notice, I guess. I've also noticed lately that there's new scratch marks in certain areas inside my car and the bottom part of my leather steering wheel is frayed and peeling. How does that even happen on the bottom part? I've noticed other things too over the last few months or year or so since Dave let Irvy run the show. I also have to repeat myself over and over again. I told Irvy probably five times that the inside of my trunk is coming loose. And they keep forgetting about it and I got the deer in the headlights look from the guy behind the counter when I mentioned it again this morning! Anyway, I brought my car back in today so they could fix the seat they broke and another issue that they were waiting on parts for. Irvy told me to bring it in this morning and that someone would give me a ride home, no problem. I was supposed to be working in the office today and my manager let me work from home so I could get my vehicle taken care of since Bell Tire is no longer open on Saturdays. And I get there and am sitting there for over an hour while I'm supposed to be on the clock at work. And when I asked the guy at the front desk what's going on, all he could say was there was nobody there to give me a ride. So I just took the keys back and drove off. Maybe there's another mechanic shop that actually wants my business. Quick update (7/25/2026): I had just paid Bell Tire and Auto over $1,000 to fix an issue with not being able to fill up my gas tank. Well, I just went to get gas yesterday and the issue is back! I took my jeep again, told the about my last experience and request they put the better gasket with the plug, they seemed to brush me off. I told them of my planned road trip and I didn't want to have to come back because it's leaking. Well, guess what? I noticed fresh oil in my driveway AGAIN. I had to take my vehicle back again to have the address the plug. Two visits, two issues with leaky oil. Not good value when you have two go twice for one oil change. I will not go back.

Brakemasters has a number of coupons available online. For the four services that I wanted done the…read moreamount should have come in at $430. I was advised the four services would be $578 mainly due to only one coupon per visit. I asked if I needed to schedule four separate visits to get the coupon price. I have yet to get an answer. I'm sure they thought I was being a smartass, but my question was made to allow them the opportunity to say they would honor the coupon pricing on their website. They respond within minutes of messages being sent, but two hours later I'm still hearing crickets. They have my phone number as I've been taking my families cars (5 cars total) to them for years (since 2015 when I moved into a home a half mile away). Unfortunately for Brakemasters, I found a new mechanic. It is one whole mile from my home so it is double the distance, but I'm sure that won't be an inconvenience. Not sure if the Brakemasters is a corporate or franchise, but either way they won't just be losing my family's business as I have a large circle of neighbor friends. We are going to get some comic relief at the next bourbon night.
