A big shout out to Big O Tires! We had a dead battery as we were just about to check out of our Airbnb. We called AAA, and they came out, however did not carry replacement batteries, so they charged up the dead battery and we were left to find a replacement battery. We went to Auto Zone and purchased a battery however they could not install it for us, due to a car part that was partially over the battery. So we called Big O Tires and they said to bring it in and that they would install the battery we purchased at Auto Zone. They were done by 11 am and we were able to check out on time from our Airbnb and head on home! read more

Had shocks changed and new tires installed, 2011 Ram, after returning my truck four times because the tires were out of balance, he said they didn't have the right tool for they're balancing machine and weren't planning on getting tool anytime soon. Finally took my truck to Les Swab, they corrected the balance right off, if it wasn't for the tires that I wanted was being sold by big o not les swab. Long story short, my tires were messed up! My car was nearly underivable and the worst part was that I had to drive from paradise to San Francisco that same day. After being turned down from a few mechanics because they were too busy, and while on our way to the third one I ran into big O. I called ahead and they said to bring it right in. As soon as I brought the car in they put it up to check on what was wrong. I spoke to the man at the front desk and he said it looked like the tired were splitting and were ready to explode. (Note, don't pump too much air into your tires, even if you think they look flat..) The man said im desperately in need of the tires, and even though I wasn't planning on getting them that weekend, I couldn't risk the three hour drive home. So he gave me a price and estimation, which I thought was honest, and they fixed my tires in about 30 minutes tops. Great customer service, fair pricing, and friendly people. Big O tires are very friendly, honest and professional. Mike checked out my new used Honda Pilot, and gave it the thumbs up. Which gives me peace of mind before taking a long trip down to LA. The last car I asked him to check he said there is a problem with the transmission, so we took it back to the car dealership & made them fix the transmission before we purchased the car. I've always been pleased with Big O service. The one in Healdsburg is top notch. My son lives in Paradise, so we took his car in to see about getting some break work done. We were treated so rudely it was shocking! Without a greeting of any kind he told us we "weren't getting work done there today". No offer of a future appointment, nothing else! Really?!? Maybe the prior reviewer was helped by someone else. Obviously, can't comment on the quality of work as we never got that far and.....NEVER will. read more

I am beyond unimpressed, the wait is always considerably longer than stated even with appointments, the service is bare, and the job done poorly, last time I went in which will be the last for tires and my car shakes turns out they didn't even balance them! My vehicle was towed in there and even though we thought it was open it actually had closed for business already, however after talking to owner there he had worker try and take off tire that was flat, which he did manage to get it off :) I really appreciated them taking off the tire and putting on the spare since the place was already closed and the worker Mike was extremely nice and professional. I would recommend the place because I think people read reviews on everything these days and I was very impressed with how they handled the situation. read more

I am very happy with the service I've received at this location. When I brought my vehicle in for my most recent tire rotation and balance they gently broke the news to me that my tires were beyond aged. Jesus found a comparable set of new tires and ordered them ahead of time for me. When I went back, Jesus again provided great customer service even though it was a busy day (a holiday no less!). Todd also proved very informative and helpful when it was discovered my vehicle was not aging as gracefully as I'd thought. Other Big O's I've visited through the years seem to be run by a group of kids and usually cause all sorts of secondary concerns after I've left (unbalanced tires, warning lights, missing valve stem covers, etc). Really impressed with Big O tires! I drove in with my donut spare on after having my tire blow out. I pulled up and they greeted me within seconds, I apologized saying they are probably close to closing and he said they were already closed but that they wouldn't leave me stranded. He showed me why my tire blew out and gave me a "gently" used replacement within a couple of minutes. The price was great also! Really helpful after a long day of work! I would love to give this shop a negative review but all I can give is a 1... I brought my vehicle in for an alinement, tire rotation, and balance. Long story short drive down to Chico this morning the front end would bounce, hop and skip doing anything over 50mph. I took my vehicle straight to American Tire at the bottom of skyway so that I would not have an accident on my hands. my one tire was 13 ounces unbalanced so needless to say I will also be taking my vehicle into a different shop to check my alignment as well since one job wasn't completed correctly. Called for a refund and was told that wasn't going to happen. Save you're money, time and the possible damage to you're vehicle our self and go to a trusted shop in Chico for your own safety. read more

THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT, WARRANTY OR THEIR SERVICES. I came to this location because I was having problems with the Big O tires that were put on my 60K luxury car in Oroville, The tires in question were purchased in Oroville and were failing within the warranty period. The dealer would not stand by their warranty and I was told by the Big O in Paradise that it was because it was as privately owned Big O not a corporate location. I was assured that PARADISE BIG O would stand behind their product. After inspection of my tires I was told that they were defective and had to buy 4 new tires that had 30-40K mileage warranty. After 8 months (less then 12K miles) from buying the new tires that I was told were the best tires for my car they are cupping and "feathering". When I bought the tires they also did an alignment. Of course when I came back because of the problem with the shaking of the steering wheel they stated that they never did an alignment. Receipts show that they did. They checked the tires which were not flat, adjusted the balance and then did and alignment inspection. THE DEALER SAID THAT DUE TO THE ALIGNMENT SPEC FROM THE MANUFACTURE OF THE CAR (ONE OF THE TOP MANUFACTURERS OF LUXURY CARS), that this was the reason the tires were cupping and feathering. The real truth is that this tire dealer sold me crap tires and did not know what tires to put on my car, sold me defective products and wants to blame the manufacturer instead of doing the right thing or at least admitting that they (the experts) sold me the wrong products. I WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS EVER GO INTO A BIG O STORE AGAIN.. You are better of using ANYONE ELSE. read more

Employees unfriendly, said vehicle was fixed but only lasted a week. When asked to get a refund, employee stated "that's what happens when you do someone a favor" and "if the money means that much to you". I am college student so of course every bit counts. Took vehicle to different shop and it was fixed within a couple hours for 1/4 the cost. Will not be going back to this Big O. read more

Wanted to share my gratitude for Big O Tires in Paradise. I got out of the car tonight when I got home and heard hissing from a tire, and there was a screw in it. I hotfooted over to Big O, which was closing in 5 minutes at 6pm. The guy was working by himself and said that they'd stopped service at 5:30, but said that he'd help me out and would hope someone would do that for him. He patched the tire for free and then wouldn't accept a tip. True, the tires were bought there originally but it was really great that he stayed open and was friendly the whole time. I've been in the position as I'm sure many of you have, where you're at work and somebody shows up with moments to spare before closing. Needless to say I'll be going back to Big O again instead of Brand X. Or brand FREE BEEF in this case, if you catch my drift. read more

Mike at Big O is Awesome!!!!! I called Les Schwab in Paradise at 5:40 P.M. and asked if they had a truck that could go and work on our service truck from our business and fix the back rear tire less then a mile from them. I was told no that they close at 6:00 and then I said can someone wait there for us to tow it over and get it repaired still NO. So I called Big O and Mike was sure I can wait and fix it. He waited and worked 2 hours overtime and would not take a tip to fix the tire on our service vehicle. We will be using Big O in Paradise from now on. Thanks Again Mike for all your help! read more

Not good business practices. My mother purchased two brand new tires from these people on June 16th, and one of the tires BLEW OUT July 26th, while driving slow through town. She went back to Big O and they would not replace it without asking her to pay $100 more! She decided to go elsewhere but before she could, they took her wheel and put a new tire on it, without her ok. So they only charged her $85. GIVE ME A BREAK. And don't go there. By the way, she is 88 years old. Is this taking advantage or what?? read more

I have given this Big O thousands of dollars in the last few years. I thought I could trust this company, but a recent turn of misfortune with their work has shown me otherwise. I bought 4 new tires, front two needed to be replaced a year later and they would not replace under their warranty... The damage/wear to the tires was done was due to their faulty repair work on my balljoint they replaced close to the same time. I paid almost $600 for a ball joint to be replaced and immediately returned to say hey it sounds like the wheel is going to fall off. They assured me it was ok. A few months later I took my car to a mechanic for a tune up. He made me aware that the ball joint was unsafe and bad (the one big o had repaired!). I took it back to Big O and the owner once again assured me it was fine. A few weeks later I had a flat and had to take my car to Les Schwab, they then said my ball joint was bad that Big O had installed. I chose to have them fix it after many failed attempts at Big O making right. Want to know how much Les Schwab charged for the same job? $240. Tell me why Big O needed to charge me 3x that?! Customer service will make you think they are all friendly and you can trust them... but now I know!! I plan on taking this to BBB and anywhere else also. I have a huge paper trail of proof.
