I'm a loyal customer to this location. One of his mechanics has done several oil changes and basic repairs on my truck and SUV. I don't take my cars to the dealers anymore since their Service Center prices are over the top while this Big O offers the same quality of work without the high price tag! Their facility has state of the art equipment, multiples bays and an ample inventory of tires. The waiting room has complimentary water and coffee. Also, a TV and a window to look to the bays. I normally call ahead and ask for a time of day to drop my car off and they communicate with me effectively during the whole process. I have a 2021 VW Atlas. Got my oil changed at the Layton location in July... first of all it took almost 3 hours to do it. Understanding they were quite busy but they guy told me originally it would take "an hour tops". They finally bring my car around and I notice it was leaking oil. Apparently the technician didn't install the filter correct. They take it back again and corrected the issue. Over the last few months I noticed a few drips of oil in my garage. It steadily got worse and worse. I took my car to VW in Layton, come to find out my oil filter was never tightened all the way. So for 4 months I had just been steadily dripping oil. Had to pay $300 at VW to do a full inspection to make sure I had no damage to my vehicle, and do re do the oil change so we knew it was done correct. i dont recommend anyone taking their car here for even something as simple as an oil change. read more

Come here if you want quick and honest service! Took my car in today because I knew one of my tires needed to get patched because I'm constantly putting air in it. And of course they fixed it, and I was soon on my way with NO additional talk of "you need new tires, and it'll cost you $1200". The thing is, I live less than 5 min away from Big O Tires in downtown SLC, but knowing I would get better service here, I didn't think twice, and gladly drove 24 min to this location knowing I wouldn't have to spend 2 hours waiting for service. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! My boyfriend came to get my tire sensors replaced, not even within a couple of hours my back tires were at 3 and 15 psi. Got them filled and the next morning they were completely flat, had to get my OWN rented pump to even get it to the shop. NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! read more

This was my first time at this Big-O. I usually go to the one in Ogden on Harrison Blvd but I live in Layton so I thought I would give it a try. When I walked in I was greeted in a friendly manner. My interaction with the associate was ok...nothing special about it. The waiting room was big! The waiting room needed a little love, the complimentary fridge was not fully stocked, there were random, old water bottles laying around, the the garbage was full. I have been coming to this Big O for about 2 years, their service is hit and miss, used to be much better. The last time I came in for an oil change they did not completely screw in the drain bolt so my vehicle was leaking oil. They didnt discover this until I came back about the leak. This morning I had a flat on my way to work and drive to this location. I arrived at 6:30 AM, they open at 8. No employees showed up for work until 8:05, and then I had to wait for them to boot up their computers. The employee that opened was surly but then got my car in. Flat was not repairable and they did not have my tire in stock. No way to run a business. read more

Jordan was fantastic! For a woman in the tire industry, she really knows her stuff. I came in with a flat tire that I was hoping could be repaired. It couldn't. She sold me a comparable tire and it was installed at the shop in under an hour...on a Saturday afternoon! Any questions I had, she was able to answer. When i call on prices,to many other tire stores had the best price. However when quoted i would be in and out of her in 45 mins., it 1 and a half hours. I have a very busy scheduale. i had stay up front by the check in desk and ask continual when i was going to get my car back. the guys working were moving super super slow, i could of change them in a half hour.
