Terrible workers and terrible pricing and terrible customer service I can't believe anyone would ever go here

I've had several good experiences with Big O Tires over the past few years across multiple vehicles. They've honored prorated tire warranties more than once when tread life came up short of expectations, which saved me significant money on replacements. On another visit, they caught a severely worn serpentine belt that I had no idea was failing and replaced it at a reasonable cost, likely preventing a breakdown. More recently, they identified badly worn brake pads I wasn't aware of and likely helped me avoid rotor damage. They've also helped with promotions and tire recommendations that have worked out well, and now they're repairing a puncture in a new tire for me. Overall, I've found them to be proactive, fair with warranty situations, and focused on safety rather than just selling parts. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences with Big O Tires in Layton, Utah. Ian runs an exceptional shop, and his crew is everything you'd hope for in a team of mechanics--kind, honest, hardworking, and incredibly capable. They take the time to explain what's going on with your vehicle, never push unnecessary services, and always follow through with quality work. If you're looking for a trustworthy place to take your car, I highly recommend Big O in Layton. Ian and his team truly go above and beyond. read more

The service advisors (Aaron and a lady) were super helpful and good at their jobs. Definitely will be going back. They were fair on price and services needed. read more

I'm a loyal customer to this location. One of his mechanics has done several oil changes and basic repairs on my truck and SUV. I don't take my cars to the dealers anymore since their Service Center prices are over the top while this Big O offers the same quality of work without the high price tag! Their facility has state of the art equipment, multiples bays and an ample inventory of tires. The waiting room has complimentary water and coffee. Also, a TV and a window to look to the bays. I normally call ahead and ask for a time of day to drop my car off and they communicate with me effectively during the whole process. I could not recommend this place enough, honest and quality services all around. read more

My wife took her car in at 2 in the afternoon and found out she needed a radiator and a pump for her windshield washer. They gave her a ride home and had her car done by 5 pm, that's some fast service. I felt like they were honest with the pricing and what needed fixing. read more

I was referred to Big O in Layton by a separate classic car restoration company in Layton. At the time I was looking for wheel alignment on a C2 Corvette and I was so impressed with Ian and his crew that I also had them replace the leaking calipers for my disk brakes. Big O Tire in Layton does a whole lot more then tires and oil changes and is a shop you can trust enough to send your wife and daughter to. read more

I have a 2021 VW Atlas. Got my oil changed at the Layton location in July... first of all it took almost 3 hours to do it. Understanding they were quite busy but they guy told me originally it would take "an hour tops". They finally bring my car around and I notice it was leaking oil. Apparently the technician didn't install the filter correct. They take it back again and corrected the issue. Over the last few months I noticed a few drips of oil in my garage. It steadily got worse and worse. I took my car to VW in Layton, come to find out my oil filter was never tightened all the way. So for 4 months I had just been steadily dripping oil. Had to pay $300 at VW to do a full inspection to make sure I had no damage to my vehicle, and do re do the oil change so we knew it was done correct. i dont recommend anyone taking their car here for even something as simple as an oil change. read more

Everyone at this shop is always so helpful! I go to them every time I need help with tires or have any other car questions.

Come here if you want quick and honest service! Took my car in today because I knew one of my tires needed to get patched because I'm constantly putting air in it. And of course they fixed it, and I was soon on my way with NO additional talk of "you need new tires, and it'll cost you $1200". The thing is, I live less than 5 min away from Big O Tires in downtown SLC, but knowing I would get better service here, I didn't think twice, and gladly drove 24 min to this location knowing I wouldn't have to spend 2 hours waiting for service. Seriously, kudos to the owner and the employees that work here! I'd give more stars if I could read more

The best place to get work done on your vehicle. The sales team showed me exactly what was going on with my car. They were up front and showed me what the options and prices were. They made their recommendation and it wasn't even the most expensive option! Great service! Plus they have the machine to do low profile tires without scratching your rims. read more

Called ahead of having tires replaced on both my truck and sedan. They double checked my tire sizes over the phone and scheduled me for the same week. I was in and out within two hours and the tires have been great all winter. Their recommendations are right on point. Very clean facility and attentive staff. I'll be back soon for my spring tires. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! My boyfriend came to get my tire sensors replaced, not even within a couple of hours my back tires were at 3 and 15 psi. Got them filled and the next morning they were completely flat, had to get my OWN rented pump to even get it to the shop. NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! read more

This was my first time at this Big-O. I usually go to the one in Ogden on Harrison Blvd but I live in Layton so I thought I would give it a try. When I walked in I was greeted in a friendly manner. My interaction with the associate was ok...nothing special about it. The waiting room was big! The waiting room needed a little love, the complimentary fridge was not fully stocked, there were random, old water bottles laying around, the the garbage was full. Overall my experience was good. read more

I have been coming to this Big O for about 2 years, their service is hit and miss, used to be much better. The last time I came in for an oil change they did not completely screw in the drain bolt so my vehicle was leaking oil. They didnt discover this until I came back about the leak. This morning I had a flat on my way to work and drive to this location. I arrived at 6:30 AM, they open at 8. No employees showed up for work until 8:05, and then I had to wait for them to boot up their computers. The employee that opened was surly but then got my car in. Flat was not repairable and they did not have my tire in stock. No way to run a business. read more

Jordan was fantastic! For a woman in the tire industry, she really knows her stuff. I came in with a flat tire that I was hoping could be repaired. It couldn't. She sold me a comparable tire and it was installed at the shop in under an hour...on a Saturday afternoon! Any questions I had, she was able to answer. I wish I hadn't bought my tires at Walmart six weeks before. I will definitely revisit this location in the future. Thanks Jordan! read more

Fast service and nice folks. Stopped in for a tire rotation which was completed quickly. Thanks Big O

When i call on prices,to many other tire stores had the best price. However when quoted i would be in and out of her in 45 mins., it 1 and a half hours. I have a very busy scheduale. i had stay up front by the check in desk and ask continual when i was going to get my car back. the guys working were moving super super slow, i could of change them in a half hour. I won't be going back here EVER!! read more
