As soon as they were below the rim of the cup, there was plain white ice shavings - no flavoring for the other 50% or so of the cone! I went back up and said something to an employee about this. I mentioned how the previous owners (as far as I recall and observed) layered the flavoring so that it was throughout. The employee said they put it on top and sometimes it doesn't go all the way down. She didn't seem to care about the (implied) suggestion to layer the cones. It was more like "this is how we do it". Well, if that's how you do it and you're not interested in improving your product for your customers to at least bring it back to the standards that existed before you owned this business, then I won't be back. Waste of money at that point. The lady did offer to add more flavor. We shouldn't have to go back up and ask for two cones to get flavor for 50% of the cones. Having worked in the food industry, I also question if it would be legal with the health department to take customer-touched food back to the work area. We threw out half our cones. If I wanted unflavored ice, I would have simply made chipped ice using the fridge at my house. I hope you'll take the suggestion (yes, this is a suggestion to layer the flavoring throughout) to improve the product for your customer.

They also offer suggestions if you are having trouble deciding what you want. My go to is pineapple with snow cap (I think here they call it vanilla cream). My kids love tigers blood and princess which is a mix of vanilla, strawberry, and blue raspberry. There are a few tables placed near the truck with napkin dispensers if you choose to sit and hang out. I feel like they have a pretty steady flow of customers but I have never had to wait too long to place or receive our order. My wife I think gets more brownies in her cup the yogurt but she loves them! They also have a nice selection of shakes, crepes, waffles, and shaved ice. It's quite a variety of sweet treats. They also recently started serving tacos, which I have yet to try but they look great. What we like most about the place is that the employees are always super friendly, the toppings are constantly filled and re-stocked, and the place itself is always very clean. We stopped in recently on a night then the owners were on vacation and thought maybe without the boss in town, the employees would let it slip on cleanliness. Nope. It was spotless. We are always impressed. There isn't a ton of seating so if you go on a busy evening, you might struggle to find a spot but it's rarely been that way when we've gone. Overall, I cannot say anything 'bad' about Yo Yo Berri. It provides just what we need when the cravings hit. We'll definitely keep going back.
