I enjoy shopping at all 3 of the American Cancer Society Discovery Shops, each one has its own…read morepersonality. The Fairview Park shop is a nice combination of clothes and some great bric a brac. Located in a medium sized plaza the Discovery Shop is also medium sized, always clean and well organized and you can find some great finds. Each week they have a 50% off color and the last weekend of the month everything in the store is 50% off. At this store I have found some really good clothes finds, especially on the men's clearance rack where the cost is $1 per item. I have found suit jackets, shirts and pants, while the men's selection is not large, what they have is usually very good and high quality. I have noticed that this store has a much larger selection of women's clothes. The store usually has a nice small selection of dishes, kitchenware and art; they do have some really interesting items up near the register, they often have some pieces from Europe, Asia and Africa. The selection seems to change everytime I have visited, nothing seems to last long at this shop. As an example I found a really nice leather motorcycle bag for under $10. The Fairview Park Discovery Shop is a fun and diverse place to do some thrifting; not the biggest store, but they really do a great job of making sure that they are selling high quality items at great prices. Not the kind of thrift store you are going to spend hours at, but well worth a visit whenever you are in the area to check out what they have. Plus the proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society which is a very worthwhile charity.

I love visiting here. The volunteers are always so friendly and welcoming. Prices are fair. I…read morealways find such great deals. Especially during the 50% off sales during the end of the month.

I always perceived Drug Mart to be a lower tier convenience store. I'll never think that again…read moreafter visiting this store. It's the best Drug Mart in the area - very spacious, tidy, well lit, welcoming, and looking brand new/renovated. The best way to describe it is a combination of convenience store (regular Drug Mart) and grocery store. Employees are very pleasant, have friendly small talk with the customers, and answer any questions. Exemplary customer service! This store has HUGE assortment: -Fresh and vibrant produce that looks like it could have been at the farmers market. Quite a variety of veggies! Yams were 99 cents which is very budget friendly! -Variety of books. No trending reads, but a decent selection of various genres -Windshield wipers! I have never seen windshield wipers at a convenience store and loved this find! -Seeds for all your spring gardening! -Enough grocery aisles to avoid going to the grocery store! They have poultry, meats, and many aisles of food. There's even a decent global foods aisle! -Dollar aisle! It's more like discounts aisle, but still very useful! -OSU merch! Shirts and Championship Coke. No glass bottles yet, but for $1.99 I wouldn't mind owning this memorabilia! -Cough drops galore. I stopped in for cough drops and wasn't prepared to see so many choices. That was a pleasant surprise. My only criticism is that the store is not very logically organized. Plan for extra time to wander around and check off your shopping list. For instance, it took me several circles around the store to find baby wash that wasn't located by the diapers. Same with the bakery aisle. I was hoping to find famous Mama Jo's pies found at this location but it took me awhile to find baked goods at the back of the store. Other than that, I was very pleased with my shopping trip. Note: This store serves as an Amazon pickup location. Of course it does because it has everything!!!

I've had…read moreplenty of visits at this store over the past 2-3 years and there's women that close the store alone. A woman once had her infant at work with her and I alone asked her why did she have her infant child there and she said since she was the store manager that she had no other choice but to return to work with her children and that they would not allow her to close the store a few hours early. The two younger gentleman that work at night are a pleasure to speak with and are always so helpful. This place is a nice store but I hear horror stories about upper management and the abuse and awful things they go through and how the employees are treated.

We went to the Broadview Hts store - only one employee and she quickly ducked into the back. No one at the register so we had to check out electronically. Crackers were supposed to be 3 for $6 ... nope ... they rang up as $2.75 each. Pushed checkout screen for assistance. No one came. There was a squeeze bottle at the other counter to request assistance. Again no reply. Squeezed bottle again and an agitated, rude female employee came out and yelled at us that she was the only one there. She entered the discount and walked away yelling at us abusively. OSHA has several several safety complaints against Dollar General. The latest was January 23, 2023 - "Federal safety inspectors again find Dollar General workers exposed to fire, other hazards - this time in West Lafayette, Ohio" https://www.osha.gov/news/newsreleases/region5/01232023 This is what OSHA says about employees working alone: 1915.84(a) Except as provided in § 1915.51(c)(3) of this part, whenever an employee is working alone, such as in a confined space or isolated location, the employer shall account for each employee: 1915.84(a)(1) Throughout each workshift at regular intervals appropriate to the job assignment to ensure the employee's safety and health; and 1915.84(a)(2) At the end of the job assignment or at the end of the workshift, whichever occurs first. 1915.84(b) The employer shall account for each employee by sight or verbal communication. We won't be supporting this mismanaged mess.
