Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Ollie's Bargain Outlet

As with most Ollie's, this store is chaotic at best. No rhyme or reason behind where items are stocked, what items are stocked and honestly the prices too. Oddly an adventure each time. I usually end up at Ollies out of curiosity much less than necessity. My most recent trip came while waiting for my pup to get groomed nearby, so I wandered around and actually picked up a few things including kitchen utensils and socks. Did I need either? Nope. The store is worn and could use some love conditionally, but it is kept clean. Service is hit and miss. Rarely anyone on the sales floor, so most of my interactions have been at the register. Overall, Ollie's is Ollie's, an I'm happy to swing by when in the area!

The size we wanted, 6 X 18 were not wiith the rest of its kind but we found 4, one on the display with other carpets, then there were 3 that were lying separately among other kinds of rugs in the cart with wheels that they probably use to move these rugs. We took the rugs that were on top and was able to get one, which we laid on the floor, a couple of feet from where we were, when a lady suddenly appeared from nowhere and in a not very hospitable tone uttered: "can I help you?". I was glad, the plastic covers were very dusty so the offer was great. Giving her a grateful smile, I said: "you will help us?". In a much more offensive tone than her first approach, she uttered: "that's what we're here for!". The tone was undeniably aggressive, and I could no longer hold back. I asked her if we were doing a wrong thing - trying to get together what we wanted, as I pointed to the rolls that we were trying to reach inside the carpet cart. When I looked back at her, she had already started hauling off the two rolls and returned them to the display. That was very uncalled for because she did not even have the courtesy to ask us if we were buying those rolls! There was no sign to seek assistance anywhere on the wall or we would have heeded. We are not the kind of people who would make a mess and leave; we would have returned what we moved and probably tidied up some (the place is not the tidiest, though she implied that it was and that we were messing it up. As we exchanged heated words, a white man came by and she shifted her warrior expression to a little smile, making my wife say: "why that sudden smile, because he's your manager?"... and it was when she said: "I am the manager". Very frustrated, my wife said, "let's go..." and we left. We were very upset because she did not try to listen to us. She must have had a bad experience with some people, but we are not that kind. Though Asians, we are both degree holders and respectful and have been speaking English since we were little. I have a feeling that because of our appearance she approached with an opinion already in her head. Today, she lost a customer and Ollie's, a sale today that would have been at least $500 because we were determined to buy the fake grass and start installing this afternoon. I am less able to control my temper but if someone is able to irritate my wife, I promise, THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG WITH THE PERSON! I should've taken pictures, but I did not think about it.

Overstock Outlets are essentially liquidation/discount style stores with an ever-changing inventory that includes anything from furniture to diapers, trampolines, toys, coolers, and legit more. In our trip to this location, we didn't have a list, just a piqued curiosity of their current inventory. They had a good selection of indoor and outdoor furniture, along with a wide variety of household appliances, home decor, cabinets, storage bins, dining sets, mattresses, mowers, power tools and a mix of a few other random items. The store is in an old plaza and shows its age. The exterior isn't the most welcoming, but I will say that our experience inside was not what was expected from the outside. It was a bit better than expected. Service was friendly. The cashier/associate was helpful and available as needed. We laid eyes on a few things, and ultimately bought a smokeless wood fire pit that was around $100 after discount...which is a great price! Overall, this was our first time at this Overstock Outlet and while it may not be our last, we do enjoy their sister locations a bit better.

I have had hand surgery and can't pull their stupid hoses around my car nor should I have to when HALF of the pumps are empty. I followed the flow of traffic and backed my van into an empty gas pump lane (as I have done for the couple to fee years this location has been open) & had $5 of gas into my car when this little angry penguin lady waddled up and started screaming that I would have to turn my car around and if I didn't immediately threatening to turn the gas pump off. I told her I wouldn't be doing that and that by the time she could make it back to the register in the gas station office I'd have all the gas I need so I dared her to turn it off. This same lady used to be a regular customer at the starbucks in rivergate/madison area when I worked there and was insufferable/constantly complaining as a customer and obviously loves to scream at people both at work and outside of it while they're making here a 20 pump sugar "coffee." All that to say, I'll be making an extra effort to pump my gas "backwards" going forward. I'm all for following policies that make sense and keep people safe - but if I am pumping my own freaking gas I will pull my personal vehicle of which I am responsible for any scratches (should their hoses scratch my vehicle) in however the heck I choose to.

No circumnavigating 100's of people like I-24 in rush hour- driving baskets loaded to the ceiling with pallets of paper towels. No lines to the back of the store waiting to checkout. No lines backed up to registers with people waiting to go through a TSA like security check to get out the door. Here, for what is likely a limited time only, you blissfully browse your favorite products in bulk, or explore their house brand Berkeley and Jensen. Stack your cart to ceiling with very low cost but high quantity items-enough to feed and equip a small army or suburban neighborhood. Fill your vehicle with quality fuel at some of the lowest prices around. Get it why it lasts.

They never said anything other than a half hearted sorry. They said they forgot to mark it sold. They refunded her money but did not offer anything for the time and has we wasted. What sucky customer service. She called me upset I called the store to talk to the manager and Ashley never apologized only gave me the 800 number. AT THIS POINT IM WRITING THIS OUT OF PRINCIPAL. So my wife and I recently moved into a larger house and have been shopping around for different pieces of furniture to fill the house. We have been looking for an entry way bench and today we found the perfect one at this HOMEGOODS store in The Glenbrook Shopping center in Hendersonville TN. We asked one of the clerks about the bench we weren't done shopping but didn't have a way to carry the bench around with us, so the clerk told us she would put it at the front of the store and had us pull the tag to keep with us until we checked out. When we were finally done shopping we started checking out and the Cashier told us that tag didn't belong to that piece of furniture and Had to talk to her manager, after talking to her manager she basically accused us of pulling it from another piece of furniture and that we had to pay the actual price for the furniture. Even though the Clerk that helped us in the first place told them she helped us with it. NEEDLESS TO SAY We will never shop at Any of these stores in the future.
