If zero was available that's what it would be. I checked in from DSS with stuff from a 3 bedroom…read more When I got here I had to use my own bug spray to try to kill as many bugs as possible before I moved anything in. The 2nd day my 3 girls were taking a bath and overflowed the tub as the pressure of water and the overflow drain are not in line with each other. Btw the hot water was scalding hot and hooked up backwards burning my daughter. When it overflowed I used the 2 towels I was given for 6 people to clean up the water. Maybe 20 min later I got knock on door saying they need to get in here as there's a leak and I explained what happened and the owner comes and tells me I need to watch my kids, I said first off I won't be talked to this way, and she says "you people we always have problems with". I mentioned that nobody should be using that outdated term of bunching anybody into 1 category. On top of this instead of putting tile in bathroom they put laminate and didn't caulk nor put grout where it should be. I offered to fix whatever drywall below was damaged and they said we will chalk this up as a mistake. Then today we end up with the son of the owners entering our room without consent for an inspection, when my son got back from a walk he was confronted about it and was threatened to be kicked out today. I went down and went over the right to privacy and this guy says he's the owner and can do whatever he wants!!! After being called a f in idiot I called the police. While I was on phone with 911 this guy keeps saying stupid crap and said you don't have a house so what rights do you think you have? When they came to do "inspection" my girls were naked as they were taking a bath and they just barge in. I find this behavior unacceptable and this isn't how any business should be ran whether I'm on DSS or not. The police said they have no right to enter without notice unless there's an emergency which there wasn't. I have never met someone that thinks if his parents own something then they own it too. With the dope that I smell in the place this isn't safe for anyone to stay at, even for people who don't have a place to live. The beds are nasty as they just bought pillow tops to go over them, the one bed obviously broke before as they put a 1x4 on mattress trying to hold it up as a support bar, the outlets have broken pieces stuck in them making it impossible to plug things in, the ac/heater shuts off and doesnt come back on for hours, the person working the desk hangs out with clientele and is making this stay even more unbearable. There's no safety for us and we have to stay in our rooms until we can move into our own place this week. If anybody wants to be treated less than human then come stay here and use drugs with owners.

I lived in Dansville for many years, but before Logan's Inn was built, and I've never known anyone…read morewho stayed here. On a recent visit it was recommended as a "better" place to stay than the truck stop or the aging Dansville Inn, my only other options. Now, I'm not so sure. Things were not terrible here, but considering that, even with the AAA discount, Logan's cost TWICE as much as the Dansville Inn, they could have done much better. I was visiting my daughter in the rural hills outside of Dansville, so I was only in the room to shower and sleep. I'm a heavyset, older woman, and the registration desk and the hotel rooms are in separate entrances, so a trip to the front desk requires a hike downstairs (no elevator) and across the parking lot. The front desk person is also apparently the only caretaker for the entire fitness center/pool, which are open to local village members, and calls to the desk are usually unanswered. A major/minor headache was the inadequate number of electrical outlets. I was traveling on vacation, alone, but for a business traveler, in pairs? This would have been a nightmare. As it was I had to unplug the coffeemaker and one lamp in order to plug in my cellphone and iPad, and when I needed to use my phone for reminders I had to unplug the alarm clock. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, only a coffeemaker, and as I like cold milk in my coffee I had to buy it at a convenience store and put it in an ice bucket every night. There is no continental breakfast or other service, and the cost is over $75 per night for a single room. After pre-paying for 3 nights, I called the desk and said I would add 2 more, but that night I was locked out of my room. Another trip down the stairs and across the parking lot at 11 pm, carrying all my stuff from the day, to find that they needed to run my credit card and get my signature again before I was allowed back into my room, where I'd left all my luggage, before I could use the bathroom! There are all kinds of loud noises all the time, plumbing that whooshes and roars from other rooms and some kind of loud, grinding compressor on the floor below. I sleep with earplugs, thank goodness. The cleaning crew ignores "Privacy Please" notices left on the door and bangs on it anyway to offer towels or cleaning services. The room was okay, the bed quality was okay, the cable TV selection is the same I had in Dansville in 1995! So, pretty crappy. There is inadequate parking and arriving after 8 pm meant parking in the convenience store and hiking across the lot in the dark. I would have stayed tonight but since I didn't reserve my room I've been told it's been reserved by someone else. I could stay, but would have to move to another room, so I'm going to sleep on my daughter's floor for the last two nights. I can't be much less comfortable. Or maybe I'll try the Dansville Inn for that last night. If I do, I'll review them too.

Chuck was hired to do our estate sale for a loved one's belongings…read more I would not recommend Chuck for this type of work. Here are some bullet point reasons: - Chuck changed the percentage and added a fee (that ended up being for advertising )to the contract, upon signing, four days before the actual sale. By the way he typically includes advertising as part of the fee he requests. We were blindsided. He would have been turned away if it were solely up to me, but unfortunately, I had others involved in the decision to use him. - Rather than giving us a guideline for when things needed to be done, for example, signing a contract and time to set up advertising - He claimed it was not too late to get advertising in: Info for advertising in PennySaver should have been done the week before the sale so that the ad would run that weekend before. It was not done. He claimed he could get it in on Wed before the sale. This would have been too late as the sale would already be in full swing. The bottom line, he did not advertise with the money we agreed to give him (against our better judgment) in the two places critical for estate sales- PennySaver ( which would have been late for the sale anyway) and Estatesale.net. He did not purchase any advertising. He used a couple of social media posts and texted people he knew instead. He was poorly equipped- -not enough table ,and the ones he had were very dirty, -signage was simply white computer printer paper. -he did not put enough signs up around town. We actually gave him some materials that he did not use, so we put more signs up ourselves with this material and our own social media postings. While we are so grateful that in the absence of Chuck's lack of preparedness, professionalism, and business ethics, our sale was not a flop, the poor way in which things were run and the fact that he did not do as he agreed to is not something anyone wants to deal with. Lastly, before he agreed to the contract that he changed and we had to negotiate, he wanted to see what was put aside and would not be included in the sale. This is horribly poor taste. He is hired to do a job, and he sells what the client says is up for sale, not what isn't. This is wrong on so many levels but, in my opinion, is taking advantage of those grieving a loss and trying to work through a finality. Yuck! Please think twice before using him for your estate sale.

I have seen/heard the current store manager blatantly disrespect and degrade her employees on the sales floor, one incident in particular, I was disgusted-I couldn't believe it- I wanted to hug the poor guy.. She is constantly complaining to not only her staff but to customers, "The work load -boohoo, I don't want to be here, ugh this mask -meh- is it time to go yet? I don't get paid enough for this s*it...ECT" I have stood in line far too long, on far too many occasions simply waiting for her to finish her rants. As a leader, she should be promoting a strong work ethic, determination, perseverance, respect, gratitude ECT. I have seen her walk away from humungus lines of people waiting to check out. Grab a drawer MANAGER!!! C'MON! What makes her time any more valuable than ours!? You don't like the work, quit, otherwise keep your mouth shut and do your job.
