I was expecting the store to be a lot bigger based on the size of the storefront & parking lot, but what they lack in sq. footage they make up for in merchandise. Lots of summer items still on the sales floor as they make way for the back-to-school items. I bet if I visit again in two weeks they'll have the fall decor out. The store was being stocked today, primarily in the food aisle, so it was a bit tricky to shop. I wasn't using a shopping cart, but it would have been impossible to get down this aisle with one. Employees that I encountered were all very friendly; that was so nice! Dollar Tree is a great place for all those things you really don't want to spend a lot of money on: gift bags, bows, greeting cards, party favors/supplies, some personal care items, snacks, food storage, etc. There was a great book selection today. Lots of titles from paperbacks to nice coffee-table books (they get Target's salvage). If you're looking for storage containers for home organizing, DT has 'em. I also noticed Pfaltzgraff coffee mugs in the housewares department--yes, Pfaltzgraff. Not your traditional Pfaltzgraff, so that may be why these mugs ended up here. A good find, though. Will definitely return!

Be careful at checkout, too. Even though the price is marked at X, the checker may ring you up at X + 10% because "that's what the computer charged." Here's an example of pricing: individual student quality (Staedtler) watercolor pencil marked at $1.79, I was charged $1.99. I later was at Art Coop and they carried PRO quality watercolor pencils (Derwent) for $1.60 ea. I've visited Hobby Lobby for the last time. I won't be back.

I was hoping to…read moreget out of Illinois on this tank of gas but couldn't quite make it, so I was here paying an extra 20 cents or so per gallon thanks to the higher state taxes in the Land of Lincoln. Oh, well. Like other Costco with fuel, the gas pumps are located. Unless you have a massive vehicle, you can use the pumps on either side as they have very long hoses that will reach across most cars. Prices here are lower than other gas stations in the area because your fuel is "subsidized" by your Costco membership. When you get to the pump, scan your membership card and then your credit card. They do not accept cash here and they do not accept American Express. There are no squeegees or drinks/snacks at this gas station. [Review 17196 overall - 113 in Illinois - 713 of 2022.]
