Wonderful service great wine, definitely recommend checking this location out. I was very happy about the suggestions and prices. Thank you to the staff for being so welcoming

We only stumbled on Big Little as we left L. Mawby. They share a parking lot. The woman working here was very friendly. The bar was not as crowded as other wineries we visited. When you arrive, you'll get a complimentary pour of their white wine blend, Mixtape. I thought it was smooth and delicious, and I ended up buying a bottle for my fiancee. If you want additional pours, $5 gets you three. My brothers and I sampled the C-3Pino (so named in honor of the golden "Star Wars" droid) just because we love the movies. It was not good, but it was fun to say we tried it. Stopping by here allows you to easily knock out two wineries in one visit, and that's awesome. Drop in and sample that delicious Mixtape.

Beautiful

Gorgeous place with super friendly people. Enjoyed everything about the experience! They even gave us complimentary pours for our anniversary.

We had intended to go to Mawby but they had an hour wait for an opening so the host Jim kindly sat us outside here under a tree. The best part of our experience was the view unfortunately. I wasn't a huge fan of the complimentary glass of their Mixtape. Not that it was bad I just didn't prefer it. I wish our server wasn't so downtrodden. When I told her what type of wine I liked and actually laughed and scoffed at me even though it was on the menu. Not sure why she thought that was ok. Perhaps she thought the mask would hide it or something. My husband went with his preferred flight tasting and she quickly commented he had made excellent choices. Unlike the other wineries we visited BLW didn't bring our 3 flight out together. Our server came out on her timeframe with the next offering. We had the hour to kill and were aware of the empty tables so we weren't in a rush. Twice I had to gulp the rest so she could refill as she just stood there waiting. I was surprised she didn't notice and offer to give us a bit more time between pours. Even though I was not a fan of the wines or the server the view was beautiful and I did love all the labels. Loved the nostalgia.

Such A beautiful place! Everyone there is super nice and relaxed. And the wine is one of the best ones around Traverse City! The first tasting is complementary and then you can pick different tastings or just split the bottle of wine and enjoy the view. Love this place

How can you go wrong with a wine called mixed tape?!?!?! Love this place and the c-3 pinot is a MUST try (and buy)!!!

The host said we could wait outside, that it may take up to an hour. The amount of people outside waiting would hardly make up the amount of empty chairs. To the reply from the owner of our previous turn away...We've never been hostage to a 50 minute "experience" here or any other winery. Not our first rodeo! Unless you're putting out a complete food spread and pairing, not happening. There was another couple right behind us with the same thought as they were turned away too. With the 20 plus wineries in the Leelanau, we won't miss this one. Off our return list.

**5 Stars -- Beautiful Winery, Delicious Food, and Unforgettable Memories!**…read more What a wonderful autumn afternoon at Bel Lago Vineyards & Winery! The sun was shining, the air was cool and crisp, and the gorgeous fall colors made the scenery absolutely breathtaking. The outdoor seating overlooking the peaceful stream and surrounding landscape created such a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed wine flights featuring Bel Lago Red, Solía, Teroldego Lot 1722, and Cabernet Franc 2020. There were wonderful selections for both moderate and full-bodied wine lovers. We especially enjoyed the fuller-bodied reds! I also had the warm mulled wine, which was absolutely delicious and perfect for a cool autumn day! The food was equally enjoyable! The Detroit-style pizza had a wonderfully crispy crust, the Bavarian pretzel was HUGE, and the olives and feta cheese were delicious additions to our meal. But what made this visit truly special was the company. Three of us, now 67 years old, went to junior high together. Two hadn't seen each other in 50 years! Yet, within minutes, we were laughing, reminiscing, and talking as though no time had passed at all. Bel Lago provided the perfect setting for a beautiful reunion filled with friendship, laughter, wonderful wine, and delicious food. **If you're visiting the Leelanau Peninsula, put Bel Lago Winery at the top of your must-visit list!** Whether you're planning a romantic afternoon, catching up with old friends, or simply looking for a beautiful place to unwind, this winery is well worth the stop. Order a wine flight, treat yourself to their delicious food, and take time to enjoy the scenery. And if you're visiting on a chilly autumn day, don't miss that warm mulled wine! **Don't just drive past this Northern Michigan gem. Stop, stay awhile, and make some wonderful memories of your own!** Five stars! We can't wait to return!
