a glass of wine and a bottle of wine

Bright light and inviting atmosphere for this tasting room located off of the water, with a view to match. You'll be standing at the counter for this one. We had reservations and were taken directly to our spot. You can choose to taste from a wine glass, which will cost you $10 (you keep the glass.) Or, you can taste from a small plastic (sauce on the side style) cup for $5. This is by far, my favorite Michigan brand wine, so I sprang for the wine glass! You taste 5 different wines of your choosing. They sale wine by the bottle and also the glass. I definitely recommend!

We hit up five wineries yesterday (okay, to be exact, four wineries and one cidery) and this was the first one we went to ... and it set the bar high. Not only because the wines were great and the views were amazing, but also because one of my friends on our trip had hyped it up as her favorite winery, too. We did a tasting flight (5 wines), which is FREE ... amazing. If you want to sneak in a 6th wine they will let you do that, too. I ended up buying a glass of the blueberry fruit wine ($3 ... great deal!) and we enjoyed some wine outside on their patio, after the flights. I also bought a bottle of the Tall Ships Riesling ($10) to take home. The views from here are gorgeous and they also have a restaurant, which we didn't try out. The patio area is quite nice for enjoying a glass, too, and you can even pay for your glass after you are finished with it ... they are pretty chill about that. Overall I really liked this winery and would definitely come back when in TC again.

We loved our visit! Annie was so amazing! We had a fantastic tasting with insight on the area and wine to try. Highly recommend doing a wine tasting here and even more highly recommend an experience with Annie helping, she was soooo nice! 100000000/10 recommend

Have you ever wondered what the angels cry? The answer is wine from Leelanau Cellar. So I am from Michigan, obviously, but I have never been to Leelanau until June 23rd. I have had the wine that is sold at local stores like Meijer, Walmart, Aldi and so on. My favorite wine is Great Lakes Red. I thought I would hate it because it is a sweet red, but it is little the best thing since sliced bread. I had my mom tried it and said it takes like grape juice (not the grape flavoring but the actual grape juice that's good), and it can be dangerous because it is so good to drink that you forget it's wine. Anyways, I tried 6 samples and grabbed a glass of Late Harvest Riesling and went and had it on the patio. Atmosphere: Beautiful place, loved the décor, and the scenery was amazing. Best location by far for a tasting room. Cost: It didn't cost anything for samples. I brought a cherry wine and it was $8, some others can cost between $11 and $22. Of course, there are $100 and more for bottles but I am not that much of a wino. Overall: If you can't tell on how much I loved it. I would give it a 5 star. And I will be going back!!

    Beautiful view.

My husband and I went to Traverse City two years ago and stopped here for some wine tasting. It was easy to find and beautiful location right on the water - very tranquil. There were very few people when we went - which was great especially for our wine tasting! It was almost like a personal wine tasting. We were given many wines and our wine person (they must have an official title?!) got to know us and what type of wine we like but he pushed us to try new things, which I appreciated. At that time we were not big with wine knowledge so it was nice that he explained each wine and what it brings to your palette. He continued to offer us different wines and we never felt like we were annoying him or asking for too much wine. Sipping on wine and looking out at the bay cannot be beat! We ended up going nuts and purchasing a lot of the wines we tasted. We took a whole box home and still enjoying these wines. We also walked to the back of the tasting room and enjoyed the water/views.

Spring Splendor and Great Lakes Red Bubbly.

If you'd like to enjoy a laid back wine tasting as well as some beautiful views-- look no further! Leelanau Cellars has all you can dream of. We went during off season, however I'd still recommend getting reservations to guarantee yourself a spot. We received 5 complementary wine tastings, and enjoyed a final glass of wine before we left. Mark was very pleasant and extremely informative, making the wine tasting experience that much better. Mark recommend the best tasting wines, based around our choices. We ended up walking out with a dozen different wines to choose from! The views were outstanding, however the service that Mark provided was even better. We will be back again soon! I totally recommend tasting from the wine glass, only $7 and I believe you get a bigger pour

We like the vibe and the wine, but they don't accept cash for any purchases. I won't support any company that doesn't accept cash.

A nice visit! We…read morecame on a cool overcast early June afternoon. The building and grounds are real nice. The host was very helpful and nice. We ordered our tastes and sat in the covered area. Our host turned on a couple of heaters and that made it real pleasant. As for the wine, we liked the Dry Riesling and ended up buying a bottle. While we only really liked one of the wines, I would not dissuade you from coming here. It's setup well and the views are really nice.

Could not ask for a more romantic place. We witnessed the love between two beautiful souls and then went to the tasting room to celebrate with wine and some golf. Yes you heard me! They had a bucket/barrel and if you could make hole in one you would get a bottle of wine on the house. Now this bucket is a far ways away and the chance of making this shot is slim but not impossible. We did not make the shot on this trip but It definitely was fun watching everyone try! They had tables set out for everyone to enjoy the overlook and views while enjoying their wine. It was suggested to mix and match to create a beverage so I took and chance and was pleasantly surprised with the taste of Apple of my Elia and just peachy 50/50. We purchase a small batch of cherry bourbon for home as well as took part in an event the facility was holding on this particular day with Lakuna Links and permanent jewelry. What an excellent day all around. Torch Lake Cellars will definitely be a place in my book to stop again. Their slogan says it all. It's a grape Life!!!
