Very cute small, sweet winery on Leelanu. Feels a bit quainter. We went as part of a medium sized group. They did seem to struggle with two groups coming in at the same time, and managing/serving the groups. We also had a bit of a struggle paying. I did like that the gentleman explained the wines and I feel like that is not happening enough anymore as winery scene has become popular. There is an interior area is nice, but they also have a covered patio area with heaters that look over the barn and the sprawling grounds. Their tasting is nice, a good variety. Each person found some they liked and some they did not. Worth checking out.

I really liked my experience at French Valley Vineyard, first time in and their wines were delicious. Charcuterie Board was amazing. Service was perfect and such a cute atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite wineries in the area! They have a great variety of wines and wonderful wine quality. The vineyard is on a beautiful property and while it doesn't have a lake view....the serene atmosphere is a keeper! I love to sit on the covered patio. This winery is kid friendly and has a play set on the property.

Great atmosphere! Wonderful view of the lake. Loved the swings at the bar. Full bar plus wine and ciders. 5 stars all the way

The white wines I tried paired very well with the fig flatbread. The employees were helpful with flavor profiles.

They have a good sized uncovered outdoor patio, and more limited seating inside. The interior seating has a homey feel, the decor is simple Northern, Lake Michigan. The menu is short, but a good variety of options, I'm not sure how often it changes, as the entrees during our visit were a bit more substantial, suited for cooler weather. We had Ceasar salads, Mac and cheese, burrata, and Chicken Marsala. I also had their soup of the day, a beef chili, my favorite item we had. We thoughts the Ceasar was a standard good. The Mac and Cheese was a bit boring and dry. The Burrata was great, nice fresh tomato's. We also enjoyed the chicken. I had a flight of three of their wines, nicely presented. I thought both of the whites, first fruits, and the Gruner Veltliner, were very good. Gilchrist is relatively newer to the area wineries and a nice addition.

Our server Noel was amazing and made the best recommendations. We loved the Albariño and Northerner (a cab-Syrah blend) - both rare finds in Northern MI. Food was delicious and they were accommodating of my gluten allergy (make sure to ask the server about options as there were way more than the menu said). Can't wait to be back.

Bryan is extremely thoughtful in his caretaking of the property: it's a beautiful building and the grounds are spectacular. He also genuinely takes pride in his ability to help curate an atmosphere that is unique to you as a couple, which is something that is not found in many property owners. We took full advantage of all of Nature's offerings, including having 70 of our friends on site with us in the glamping tents Friday and Saturday night. The glamping experience truly made our wedding so unique and magical: there is a huge fire pit in the middle of the woods that added countless hours for creating memories. The glamping accommodations were bougie enough for even the most high maintenance of our friends: everyone was comfortable and raved about their experience! When our original plan for hosting a Sunday brunch fell through at the 11th hour, Bryan graciously let us host the brunch at Nature, once again showing his accommodating nature (no pun intended). One thing I will say is that this venue is not for those who are looking for full service planning and coordination. We did hire a weekend coordinator (who did a great job) but even despite having her onboard, we had an incredible amount of help from family and friends to pull this off. There's no way we could've had the wedding of our dreams without the support from everyone including Bryan, but just fair warning that this venue is very much a DIY blank canvas and requires you as the hosts to be flexible, so make sure you're up for it! We would change not a single thing and would recommend Nature to anyone looking to host a unique and memorable gathering.

We had spiders the size of frogs in our tent all over! The owner made the wedding party put sheets on the tents, take the garbage out, sweep the floor of the tented banquet area, we had to set up table and chairs for reception, we had to set up chairs for the ceremony, again all while he and his two workers are sitting and watching us. He literally had the audacity to sit and watch all of us work! It's a shame they are willing to run this type of operation for such special occasions. My hunch is it won't last long!
