Four different situations where a locksmith was needed (mix of business and personal) and to this day I have never had an answer from a call from Big Lick. Two calls were between 7:00pm-10:00pm. The other 2 calls were between 8:30 am and 2:00pm. The advertised daily hours are 9:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. Those hours alone are pretty short compared to B&D and Security Lock and Key. I really don't know how you do business like that. Singularly the most unresponsive business transaction with a company that I have ever experienced. I don't understand businesses like this. Called around midnight desperate because our bathroom door somehow locked itself from the inside. Weren't sure what to do because we're just outside the service area, but we called anyway because we didn't have other options. DJ answered the phone and was very kind, we sent him a photo of the door we had and he talked us through how to get the door back open without charging us. Excellent service, honest people, available 24/7. Highly recommend. read more

Do NOT use this business, it's called big lick because YOURE THE BIG LICK, they'll take your money and you'll never hear from them again PLUS you'll be stranded wherever you needed help, i would say the employees usually never show up because a majority of this companies tools are shoved up the owners various holes :) seriously, just call somewhere else, don't waste your time, money, or effort with these buffoons read more

The gentleman with whom I worked showed up early, fixed the problem in a timely manner, and only charged a small fee (compared to the original quote). Very grateful for this service as I was locked out in the cold weather. 10/10 service all around! read more

WARNING Do NOT use Big Lick Locksmith they will tell you they are on the way and leave you and your kid(s) freezing in the cold and NEVER show up. I called them to get a key programed and they left me on the side of the road in 28 degree freezing cold weather with 2 kids. I called at least 8 times for over 3 hrs until my phone died. I had no way to get an Uber/Lyft and didn't want to put kids at risk by asking a stranger for a ride at 1am so we were forced to sleep in the car. Once I finally got home and charged my phone I received a rude voicemail from Peter Schenck telling me if I have a problem call someone else he's the owner and I'm just some dumbass for loosing my original key and he doesn't give a F**k. TOTAL JERKS !!! l found them SEARCHING for automotive locksmiths and THEIR ad on the internet SAYS automotive lock. I called. I could barely hear as it sounded like their business phone is a cell phone. I ask if they could make a key for a car. They responded but could not make out what the person said. I said "pardon me" and they said "we don't make keys for cars" and hung up the phone. No goodbye, no have a nice day...I work in a position to recommended locksmiths daily. Will NEVER recommend these guys and will advise others NOT to do business with them....can't go below ONE star or I would. read more
