We get a lot of keys made for his cars and they do a quick and great job. Prices are fair and they staff js very helpful. Also had a key made for my car and it was much cheaper than the dealer. Ample parking with disabled spots out front. You have to drive uphill to get up to the entrance read more

They are available to assist on weekends unlike most locksmiths. Their costs to the customer is too expensive, however.

This team is simply amazing. We lost the key to our roof rack bars and carrier to a vehicle that my parents purchased 13 years ago in NC. We were frantically trying to figure out what to do before leaving for our vacation on Saturday. I had been told by the dealership from which we purchased our car that our locks would need to be redrilled and new keys made...only by an authorized dealer (we have none anywhere close to Roanoke). This was looking like it would be a costly endeavor. :( I called B&D at 5:00 (when they close) several days ago in a bit of a panic. They answered and, without appearing the slightest bit rushed, answered all of my questions and were super helpful and told me to just bring it by and they would see what they could do. We wanted to hide a key under the truck securely. We assured him the magnetic box and Velcro key hider would not stay on with heavy rains and standard driving. The box needs to be screwed into the vehicle. We were assured the Velcro would stay so we got it. It came off somewhere on the road the next day. read more

I went to B&D lock to get another fob and key for my Suzuki. I only had one fob, and I had lost it on several occasions . I also lost the key. Then the fob was split ( probably from someone trying to open it to replace a battery, and they didn't know what they were doing). Anyway, my old fob quit working. B&D solved all my problems. I got a new fob and new key. B&D was not as expensive as I was expecting. I was pleased with my experience. read more

While traveling out of state, we had a vehicle ignition key stick in the ignition switch because something broke internally in the cylinder on Friday at Noon. Star City Ford said they could fix it for Labor and parts on Monday. I talked to a local acquaintance and was directed to B & D. They fixed the part within one hour and it took longer to look up the part then to swap it out. They did not charge me labor and a fixed it for under $50. The customer service at the store was excellent! I arrived before 9 am and they opened the doors to let me in early. The workers were dressed professionally and motivated, I could not tell a difference between workers and managers. I had no key to copy since I lost my car keys, but I brought in proof of ownership of my vehicle and they were able to create a new key from scratch! I was impressed, I was out the door by 9:08, that's how fast they worked. The store experience was perfect. The only reason I did not give 5 stars, when I called the day prior when I was stranded, they could not come help me because they were too busy. We moved to the area 2 years ago & needed locks reneged for our home. B&D changed them all out for us and the price was much lower than if we had purchased all new knobs. This year the keys to our lock/fire box were lost. We needed to get in to get our passports. I took the box in and a new key was made for us in just a few minutes. The gentleman helping me ( who is always there) talked to my 9 yr old grandson about how good it would be to be a locksmith when he grows up, really made an impression on him too. I needed a key FOB for my car. I had asked a sales person about a month ago for the price and they stated it would have been $80. My husband had called them a day ago to see if the price had changed and the man over the phone had stated that it would be $20 for the remote and $30 to program it since i didnt have one. He also stated that if i get another one i wouldnt have to pay to program it since i would then have one that was already working. I know i can buy the remotes pretty cheap online but that didnt seem bad and i dont have to wait or pay shipping. We went there to get the FOB and was told that it would be $40 for the remote and $30 to program it. I told him that we just called and got a different price he brought the package that the remote comes in that has $40 on it and stated "Here is the price, the computer tells us what its going to be". I thought that was really rude and could have settled with an apology. After he got the one remote working he waited till my husband left to tell me that "Everytime we hook it up its $30 and you wouldnt have to pay for the programming of the second FOB if you left and came back with the new one". I then told him that it makes no sense since i now have a working programmed key FOB. This guy just kept telling me nonsense and getting louder and none of his Coworkers stepped in. I knew this was not good when he was just getting more and more loud and rude. I told him he is frustrating me and that i just want to pay for my one key FOB and leave. He shoved my card in my hand and i told him i hope he has a better day. I wouldnt trust them with my house keys since they do not know what anything is or how to treat their customers. Not good customer service and no care of how they treat people. read more
